Liberal pundits and press in Washington are facing a growing nightmare in Washington. No, it is not the victory of President-elect Donald Trump or the Democrats’ loss of both houses of Congress and the popular vote in this election. It is the possibility that democracy may not collapse as predicted, and Trump might not even round up his opponents en masse. For months, liberals have been telling voters that this will likely be their last election and that democracy is about to end in the U.S. ABC host Whoopi Goldberg declared on “The View” that Trump will immediately become a...

It is often taken as a given that electric vehicles are friendlier for the environment and that we will all inevitably be driving them in the future. In this short video, Mark P. Mills of the National Center for Energy Analytics questions the government’s push towards EVs, and whether these “givens” are true. 500,000 pounds of rock to produce ONE batter for one EV.

WASHINGTON — Foreign leaders have lined up to speak with him. He has rattled Mexico and Canada with threats of steep tariffs and warned there would be “hell to pay” for militants in Gaza unless they release the hostages by the time he’s sworn in.That won't happen for another 45 days, but Donald Trump, the president-in-waiting, isn't shying away from acting like the president-in-reality.Trump can't sign a bill or issue an executive order yet, but he is crowding out Joe Biden as the sitting president winds down his term and steadily recedes from public view. In two foreign trips since...

CHARACTER A wise person once said, "You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing to him or for him." (author unknown) Columnist Ann Landers put it this way, "The best index of a person’s character is how he treats people who can do him absolutely no good." In the Christian Scriptures, the Apostle Paul talks about entertaining "angels unawares." (Hebrews 13:1) What these writers are talking about here is more than an act. It’s an attitude - about life, about people, and most importantly, about the dignity and worth...

Is the Vatican on the verge of bankruptcy? It appears so. I saw this going viral online so I dug into it (because we actually do our research here, we don’t just rely on Tweets) and what I found was this is accurate: VATICAN BANKRUPTCY?https://t.co/cHpTrpv2Xb pic.twitter.com/9Z5CFz02TP — The Sacred Blue Tent (@SabrinaGal182) December 3, 2024 The AP reports the situation is dire, as admitted by Pope Francis himself: Pope Francis, who has imposed a series of cost-cutting measures across the cash-strapped Vatican, warned Thursday that the city state’s troubled pension fund needs urgent reform to guarantee future obligations. Vatican employees...

By Dr. John BergsmaAs we start the second week of Advent, the Church turns her attention from the second coming of Christ to his first coming, and in particular to the figure of John the Baptist, the forerunner or herald of Jesus Christ. Usually the Church reads heavily from the prophet Isaiah during the Advent season, and indeed, Isaiah 40 would have made a good First Reading for this Sunday because it is quoted in the Gospel. However, in Year C, the Church takes a little break from exclusive attention to Isaiah and reads some other Old Testament texts that...

It’s time to toughen up and think strategically, or patriotic Americans will lose this whole ballgame and be left standing on the field wondering what went wrong. Steve Bannon lays out the game plan, and it’s one we’ve seen the left use over and over: flood the zone, overwhelm the system, and never let up. This relentless pressure is how they get away with so much—and why Republicans cave so often. The chaos comes from every direction, and instead of fighting back, too many just want it to stop. But when we have the chance to push back, what do...

Opposition fighters in Syria, in an unprecedented move, have totally taken over numerous cities, in a highly coordinated offensive, and are now on the outskirts of Damascus, obviously preparing to make a very big move toward taking out Assad. Russia, because they are so tied up… in Ukraine, and with the loss there of over 600,000 soldiers, seems incapable of stopping this literal march through Syria, a country they have protected for years. This is where former President Obama refused to honor his commitment of protecting the RED LINE IN THE SAND, and all hell broke out, with Russia stepping...

Piecemeal decisions at lower courts have created a shifting legal landscape across the nation, advocates say A federal court’s decision last week to allow a biological male at San Jose State University to compete in a women’s collegiate volleyball tournament added yet another layer to the growing patchwork of legal rulings surrounding transgender athletes. That case is still working its way through lower courts, but the decision has led opponents to renew their pleas for a Supreme Court ruling on the issue.

Poison Fruits of Hatred Targeting Jews outside of IsraelNo Zionists are aiming at Arabs non terrorists. And of course nor are Arabs, Muslims and mosques attacked outside of Israel by them. But random Jews, places of worship have been, are being attacked by Arabs. Muslims. Targeting ultra orthodoxEach and every racist Arab-Muslim attacker (London, Antwerp, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Melbourne, etc.) knows fully well: Haredim, are non Zionists, by in large, object serving in IDF. But this, again, like fascist Arabs taunting Haredi Jews in Jerusalem, proves, everything is about bigotry. Muslim lobby bloc OIC's slave: UN and some...

Nearly 30 percent of US pharmacies closed between 2010 and 2021, according to a new study in the health-policy publication Health Affairs. The research, led by University of California Berkeley assistant professor Jenny S. Guadamuz and colleagues, analyzed data from the National Council for Prescription Drug Programs, county health statistics, and ZIP Code demographic surveys. Of the 88,930 retail pharmacies operating in 2010, almost one-third shuttered by 2021, with those in predominantly Black and Latino neighborhoods disproportionately affected. Independent pharmacies were hit hardest, with closures occurring at a higher rate than chain pharmacies regardless of location or market conditions. Black...

Russia has begun withdrawing ships from its naval base in Tartus, Syria, after a rapid advance by Islamist rebel forces that the Syrian army, led by President Bashar al-Assad, is unable to contain, according to Naval News. On December 2, the tanker "Yelnya," crucial for supporting Russian forces in the Mediterranean, departed Tartus. Other vessels may have left the base along with it. The Russian naval group in Syria consists of five ships and one submarine, including two "Admiral Gorshkov" class frigates, one "Admiral Grigorovich" class frigate, an upgraded "Kilo" class submarine, and two auxiliary vessels. If Russia decides to...

The mood in Damascus appears to be one of confusion and fear, with many people unable to find out exactly what is going on as rebel factions approach ever closer. In several suburbs, symbols of the power of the Assad dynasty have been torn down or toppled. The interior ministry says it's creating a ring of steel around the capital. But government forces have notably failed to provide any such defence in cities, towns and villages that have fallen to rebel factions across the country. Rumours are swirling over the whereabouts of President Bashar al-Assad, with people logging flights in...

The man who created one of Southern Colorado’s most beloved and quirky attractions has died, according to a social media post. James “Jim” Roland Bishop began building his monumental stone castle high atop a hillside in the forest of the Wet Mountains in 1969 on land in rural Custer County that he purchased ten years earlier, as a teenager. An ironworker by trade, the Pueblo resident labored on weekends, mostly singlehandedly on what was intended to be a small cottage. More than five decades later it stands about 165 feet tall, boasts stained glass windows and is topped by a...
