Let's start by refreshing your memory on a few facts. Andrew McCabe, the former Deputy Director of the FBI, was fired from his job after a nonpartisan Inspector General determined that he'd lied under oath to federal investigators on multiple occasions. McCabe then started a GoFundMe, playing the victim as he manipulated 'Resistance' voters into sending him hundreds of thousands of their dollars. CNN, the self-professed "facts first" network proceeded to hire him as an analyst -- this man who'd been sacked for not telling the truth, under penalty of perjury. McCabe has used that platform to assail his critics,...

Alexandria shooter James Hodgkinson lived out of a gym bag and hung out for the past month-and-a-half at the YMCA across the street from where he opened fire, according to a report Wednesday. Bill Euille, former mayor of Alexandria, said he and Hodgkinson spoke almost every day at the Y, where the alleged gunman would be seen working on his laptop, the Washington Post reported. “He was a very friendly person. But what I did notice about this gentleman is he’d open up his gym bag and in it, he had everything he owned,” said Euille, who lost his re-election...

Federalist CEO Sean Davis blasted the FBI for stonewalling Congress’s investigation into the first assassination attempt against President-elect Donald Trump. The moment came during a Friday interview, in which Davis was asked by conservative commentator Tucker Carlson what information is publicly available about Thomas Crooks, the would-be assassin who tried to kill Trump at a July rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The 20-year-old was killed by law enforcement shortly after the attempt on the incoming president’s life and information about his activities leading up to the shooting has remained scarce.Davis noted despite the near assassination having occurred months ago, Americans “still...

The songwriter of the Village People's hit song "Y.M.C.A." spoke out on Monday against the idea that the song is a "gay anthem," and threatened to sue news outlets in January that continue to describe it as such. Willis said he was not offended that it has been labeled as a gay anthem but warned people not to make assumptions. News outlets who do label it a "gay anthem" in January could start facing legal action.

The Village People’s lyricist and lead singer has hit out at the “false assumption” that the band’s biggest hit, “YMCA,” is a “gay anthem.” Victor Willis, who headed up the 1970s disco band and wrote the song with producer Jacques Morali, has taken to social media to insist that it was not written with the gay community in mind – and that those who suggest otherwise could soon face legal action. “There’s been a lot of talk, especially of late, that Y.M.C.A. is somehow a gay anthem,” Willis, who wrote the lyrics for the 1978 hit, said on Facebook on...

Village People founding member Victor Willis has said that if the group was asked by President-elect Donald Trump to perform the YMCA for him they would have to "seriously consider" it. Willis appeared on Fox and Friends where he reversed himself on an earlier position of not wanting the president-elect to use the song. He told the hosts, "I decided to allow the president-elect's continued use of ‘YMCA.’ because he seems to genuinely, genuinely like the song and so many other artists were stopping him from using their music." "So I decided to contact BMI [Broadcast Music, Inc.] and told...

Victor Willis, writer of “YMCA,” wants to clarify something: the song is not gay themed. “There is nothing gay about it,” he says in a Facebook post. Willis is thrilled Donald Trump likes the song, especially since the Village People singer says he’s made millions from it since Trump started using it. Willis also says his wife will start suing people who insist the song is gay themed. Whoever Willis’s wife is, she’s pretty busy according to him carrying out their efforts. He says “my wife” more often in his post below than the word “fiancee” is used in a...

One of the most annoying things we see play out during political contests is when singers and bands get their knickers in a twist over a candidate they don't like using their music, whether it be during a campaign stop, in an ad, or what have you. For instance, I remember in 2008 when Heart had a near-complete meltdown over then-GOP Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin using their wildly popular 1977 hit "Barracuda" (which was Palin's nickname in Alaska) as her theme song at McCain-Palin events. One of the band's lead singers, Nancy Wilson, wigged out when talking about the...

YMCA singer Victor Willis has U-turned on his opposition to Donald Trump using the song in his rallies - while urging fans not to call it a 'gay anthem'. The 73-year-old founding member of Village People band previously urged the incoming president to stop playing their 1978 disco hit at his political demos. But on Sunday Willis changed his tune, saying he 'didn't have the heart' to continue fighting Trump's team after seeing how much the president-elect 'seems to genuinely like YMCA'. The airtime has pushed the song towards the top of the Billboard charts.

Skyler Philippi, 24, of Columbia, Tennessee, was arrested by federal agents and charged with attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction and attempting to destroy an energy facility. “As charged, Skyler Philippi believed he was moments away from launching an attack on a Nashville energy facility to further his violent white supremacist ideology – but the FBI had already compromised his plot,” said Attorney General Merrick B. Garland. “This case serves as yet another warning to those seeking to sow violence and chaos in the name of hatred by attacking our country’s critical infrastructure: the Justice Department will find...

With Pride Month well underway, now is a fitting time to talk to our fellow Christians about their association with the YMCA. Some of you may have nothing more than a gym membership, while some may even have the misfortune of attending church in a Y (yes there are churches), but no matter your yoking comfort level, make no mistake: you’re supporting an organization that professes Christianity but is operating contrary to your core Christian beliefs. Is the above a hyperbolic overstatement bordering on slander? Well I’m glad you asked! Did you know the YMCA marches in various pride parades...

An 82-year-old woman is demanding access to a local YMCA-operated pool after being banned from the facility for speaking out against a man using the women’s locker room, according to a letter obtained exclusively by The Daily Wire. The Douglas County Health Department (DCHD) and its partners are responding to a confirmed case of active tuberculosis disease (TB) at Westview YMCA. DCHD is investigating more than 500 possible exposures that may have happened at the facility’s drop-in daycare and is working to identify individuals who had close contact with the patient. Those possible exposures would have happened from late spring into late October. The Douglas County Health Department is investigating the patient’s activities while they were contagious to learn of potential exposures, helping the patient isolate, and observing them complete their medication until they test negative for TB....
