Our credit card processor just shut down our account this morning, so I won't be needing anyone's credit card info after all. Credit card donations are gone.
This leaves us with PayPal, mail-in, and Venmo. Someone suggested I look into Zelle, which I will look into today.

I thought now there were laws in place that prevented businesses from politically swatting (stopping serfices) those they didnt ideologically like...
There are tons of vendors that will process credit cards for you. Some charge more than others but someone will want your business.

What would stop them from doing it through a new vendor?
Is this political, or did crooks just find a service that they can make use of?
I say it’s the other way around. NOT kicking jerks, bots and libnuts off limits donations.
They didn’t elaborate. They just said that a business decision had been reached to close our account immediately, and that their sponsoring bank is unable to support our business model.
Why is that?
Laws are for law-abiding citizens. Not for people with an illegal agenda. Like "gun control" laws only control the guns of law-abiding citizens.
Personally I think somebody or some group has decided that with JimRob gone, it's time to take down FreeRepublic.com, and they appear to be doing a pretty efficient job of it.
Sad -- I just celebrated 21 years a few months ago. FR has been my main news/commentary website for 20 of those years. Monthly donor for most of those years. First site in the morning and last at night. I don't know WTF I'm gonna do without it.
