FREEQs and FREEPERS, we're 2/3 of the way through the quarter and we've only collected 1/3 of the funds, and our Credit Card processor just shut down Free Republic's account!
It's almost like someone doesn't like us sharing information.
Please support the best information 'watering hole' on the Internet!

Our credit card processor just shut down our account this morning, so I won't be needing anyone's credit card info after all. Credit card donations are gone.
This leaves us with PayPal, mail-in, and Venmo. Someone suggested I look into Zelle, which I will look into today.

I use Zelle through my bank for certain payments. Pretty secure. You’ve GOT to have a phone number to send it to.
You’ll need to announce the new phone number.
Otherwise, just check your PO Box and spend time cashing checks.

For readers and subscribers who do online banking, I simply set up an automatic payment each month with my bank. My bank automatically mails a check each month to FR in Fresno.

I used to hand write the checks and mail them with a stamp. Now I just tell my bank to do it. Easy-peasy.
So easy to send a few bucks to Free Republic and keep us online. Is it worth $5/month? Is it worth a dollar a day?

Our Credit Card processor shut down Free Republic's account, but Free Republic now has a Zelle (no fee) account (use jimrob@psnw.com),  KitJ explained to freepers how to set up automatic bank payments from their checking account. Freepers report that using Venmo to donate to FR was easy, and that choosing the Paypal option provides both Paypal and an alternate credit card option.
