One person was taken to the hospital Tuesday evening after a package delivered to a building at Northeastern University exploded when it was opened, school officials confirmed. A second package was also found and rendered safe by the bomb squad, Boston police confirmed at a news conference Tuesday night. Northeastern University said the package was delivered to Holmes Hall on Leon Street around 7 p.m. and detonated when a staff member opened it. That person, a 45-year-old man, suffered minor hand injuries and was taken to the hospital.

On April 21 Breitbart News reported on a NRA-ILA statement which said Yeti Coolers had cut ties with the NRA Foundation. The statement, written by former NRA president and USF executive director Marion Hammer, said, “Suddenly, without prior notice, YETI has declined to do business with The NRA Foundation saying they no longer wish to be an NRA vendor, and refused to say why. They will only say they will no longer sell products to The NRA Foundation.”

Wednesday afternoon the story broke in Baton Rouge media that the Kenilworth Science & Technology School had been raided by the FBI. The FBI indicated that the raid, which evidently was conducted to gather material evidence in the form of documents and computers, was not a matter of public safety. As a result, it probably was not related to a report earlier this year that a teacher at the school was accused of having inappropriate pictures of children on his cell phone. The stubborn pelican had landed on the ramp that takes the 90 Freeway onto the northbound 405, and would not leave, according to City News Service, so California Highway Patrol officers blocked both lanes and a SigAlert was issued.

NEW ORLEANS -- At first, 4-year-old Jonathan Bush wanted to sell all of his toys to help save the oiled pelicans. The images on the evening news upset him, said Lori Bush, his mother. Lori Bush told him he did not have to take that extreme a step -- plus she had planned to pass along his toys to a younger brother, eventually. "How about selling lemonade?" she suggested. I'm keeping things low key this weekend, my new meds make me groggy so I take pics between naps.
