I want to buy your children. As I understand it, you have seven children still alive (your son Mahmoud killed himself, I'm sorry to hear). I'll offer more than Saddam Hussein has offered; he'll pay $25,000 each, if they are willing to turn themselves into human bombs, but I'll pay $30,000 each.

Martha, maybe you're thinking I'm a fair-weather friend, like the rest of those Democratic politicians who backed away faster than a gal can say "I just got lucky" from that $1,000-a-plate fund-raiser you were planning to throw for us in New York last week. Of course, with your ImClone stock sale landing you in enough hot water to poach a tyrannosaur, I do feel you deserve a little quiet time.

The Palestinians are now truly at the crossroads: President Bush has held out to them the prospect of political deliverance--a break with their maximalist history, a chance to step back from the brink and to walk away from this terrible war of terror that they are destined to lose. For all the false consolations of this cult of "martyrdom" that has taken hold in their world, the Palestinians must know that the failure that has stalked their history is upon them yet again.

CONGRESSIONAL RECORD Volume 100--Part 7 June 22, 1954 CONGRESSIONAL RECORD -- SENATE 8617-8618 THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG Mr. FERGUSON. Mr. President, the verbal manifestation of an American's loyalty and patriotism is the pledge of allegiance to our flag. Recognizing that the pledge did not specifically acknowledge that we are a people who do believe in and want our Government to operate under divine guidance, I introduced in the Senate a resolution to add the words which forever, I hope, will be on the lips of Americans. Representatives OAKMAN and RABAUT, of Michigan, and others, introduced similar measures...

Jones provides the answer himself in this passage from From Here to Eternity. He looked at his watch and as the second hand touched the top stepped up and raised the bugle to the megaphone, and the nervousness dropped from him like a discarded blouse, and he was suddenly alone, gone away from the rest of them. The first note was clear and absolutely certain. There was no question or stumbling in this bugle. It swept across the quadrangle positively, held just a fraction longer than most buglers hold it. Held long like the length of time, stretching away from...

June 26, 2002 Dear liberty activist, A wayward federal appeals court ruled today that reciting the Pledge of Allegiance in public schools in unconstitutional. For decades, federal judges have warped, shredded and outright ignored the Constitution of the United States. Liberty Caucus member Roscoe Bartlett put it well: "Today's decision by the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals is a ludicrous and factually inaccurate misinterpretation of the establishment clause of the First Amendment. Every one of our founders is turning over in their grave." We can correct this horrific court decision. On June 12, 2002, Congressman Ron Paul introduced The First...

Background: The Quad Mom Murder Email story to a friend Most of San Antonio met Sheila Bellush just a few weeks before Christmas in 1995, when TV reports showed her and her husband Jamie celebrating the birth of their quadruplets, which were San Antonio's first set in years. Everyone, it seems, is outraged by this 9th Circuit Court decision. Read the text of the decision - it is illogical, full of nonsense and touchy feely statements. But the implications of this decision are enormous: by the logic of this decision, Mr. Bush acts unconstitutionally by ending a public address with "God Bless the United States"; every federal court in the country is opened by an unconstitutional "God Save this Honorable Court"; the government prints currency with unconstitutional language; the Senate opens its session with an unconstitutional prayer. And the Declaration of Independence cannot be read at a government...

Posted on Tue, Jun. 25, 2002 We need Robert and Ulysses In April 1865, the great Gen. Robert E. Lee had a choice. His army of Northern Virginia - after days of forced march from Richmond in retreat from Ulysses S. Grant's armies - was starving. While still ready to fight, the Confederate general made what was the toughest decision of his military career: he chose to surrender. That single decision is one of the reasons the United States are united today.Lee had options, as explained by Jay Winik in his book, "April 1865." The easiest thing would have been...

The lower Federal courts were created by an act of Congress, and anything that was created by Congress cannot tell Congress what it can and can not do. The Supreme Court can, because it was not created by an act of Congress, it was formed by the Constitution. A creation of Congress, though, cannot tell it what to do. The EPA, the FCC, the FTC, etc., cannot tell Congress what it can't do, Congress created them all. It also created the Federal courts. Now, about the ruling against the Pledge of Allegiance: The Pledge was created by Congress, including the...
