June 14th, 2026 -- Happy Flag Day!
BUTCHER'S THUMB — June 14th, 2026
This week’s butcher’s thumb shows a heavy emphasis on national security, border policy, and economic framing, with multiple Cabinet-level officials booked across the networks. Sen. Mark Warner appears again, continuing his role as the Democrats’ institutional validator. Republicans booked across the networks skew toward institutional or bipartisan figures, while Sunday Morning Futures remains the only program aligned with the party’s current leadership.
FACE THE NATION (CBS)
Secretary of War Pete Hegseth (CBS continues labeling him “Defense Secretary” despite the administration’s restoration of the historical title); Sen. Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.); Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.); Gary Cohn, former Director of the National Economic Council.
Structural read: CBS is running a “national security + bipartisan Senate + establishment economics” hour. Hegseth anchors the security segment, Kelly and Warner provide Democratic framing, and Cohn adds an institutional economic voice. Warner’s presence continues the coordinated messaging pattern seen in recent weeks.
What to watch: Whether Brennan uses Warner and Kelly to frame defense issues as bipartisan consensus items.
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network)
DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin; Sen. Deb Fischer (R-Neb.); Sen. Jack Reed (D-R.I.). “Ruthless” Podcast Panel: John Ashbrook, Michael Duncan, Josh Holmes and Comfortably Smug. Panel: Olivia Beavers, Reince Priebus, Juan Williams and Roger Zakheim.
Structural read: Fox is running a “border security + bipartisan Senate voices + mixed panels” hour. Mullin anchors the border segment, Fischer provides a mainstream GOP voice, and Reed offers Democratic counterbalance. The dual panels give Fox a broader ideological spread than usual.
What to watch: How Bream navigates Mullin’s DHS messaging against Fischer’s institutional GOP positioning.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC)
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.); Sen. James Lankford (R-Okla.); Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-Ga.); Steve Kornacki with new polling. Panel: Monica Alba, Mike Dubke, Jonathan Martin and Steve Ricchetti.
Structural read: NBC is running a “Democratic leadership + institutional GOP + polling narrative” hour. Jeffries anchors the Democratic message, Lankford represents the Senate’s institutional wing, and Warnock reinforces the party’s national framing. Kornacki’s polling segment sets the interpretive tone for the panel.
What to watch: Whether Welker uses polling to shape the post-interview narrative.
THIS WEEK (ABC)
U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Mike Waltz; Wendy Sherman, former Deputy Secretary of State; Bob McNally, former Bush White House Energy Advisor. Panel: Donna Brazile, Chris Christie, Faiz Shakir and Patrick McHenry.
Structural read: ABC is running a “foreign policy + energy + bipartisan establishment” hour. Waltz provides a Republican diplomatic voice, Sherman anchors the Democratic foreign-policy segment, and McNally adds institutional energy analysis. The panel leans center-left with a mix of pre-Trump GOP voices.
What to watch: Whether ABC frames foreign policy as a bipartisan institutional issue.
STATE OF THE UNION (CNN)
DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin; Stephen A. Smith. Panel: Scott Jennings, Brad Todd, Xochitl Hinojosa and Jamal Simmons.
Structural read: CNN is running a “border security + cultural commentary + mixed panel” hour. Mullin anchors the policy segment, while Smith provides a high-visibility cultural voice. The panel leans center-left with Jennings as the primary right-leaning counterweight.
What to watch: How Tapper/Bash uses Mullin to shape the border narrative.
SUNDAY MORNING FUTURES (FNC)
U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Mike Waltz; Senate Majority Leader John Thune; Sen. Katie Britt (R-Ala.); Rep. Lisa McClain (R-Mich.); Adam Bry, co-founder and CEO of Skydio.
Structural read: Futures is running a “GOP leadership + national security + tech innovation” hour. Waltz returns for a second appearance of the morning, Thune anchors the Senate leadership segment, and Britt and McClain reinforce the House/Senate alignment. Bry adds a tech-policy angle.
What to watch: Whether Bartiromo centers the hour on legislative oversight and border policy.
Ecosystem Summary
This week’s lineups emphasize national security, border policy, and economic framing, with multiple Cabinet officials booked across networks. Warner continues his role as the Democrats’ institutional validator. Republicans booked across the networks skew toward institutional or bipartisan figures rather than the party’s current leadership. Futures remains the only program consistently aligned with the GOP’s present priorities.
WHAT’S NOT BEING COVERED:
California’s embarrassing 36-day ballot-counting timeline — a national outlier that raises structural questions none of the networks are touching, not even Fox News.
Meanwhile, Gov. Gavin Newsom is boasting about Senate Bill 73, which he describes as making “questioning the declared outcome of an election a crime punishable by three years in prison.” According to the cited commentary, Newsom said: “This law pertains to anyone who asks questions or implies that any part of the process is improper or corrupt.”

“The Sunday Morning Bray”, by Bray!
Psalm 46:10 (King James Version)
Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
After two years of struggling and scrimping and fighting with the IRS and Oregon Revenue Dept I miraculously caught up with my taxes. For anyone who has been in the situation where the IRS and State are after you for back taxes or missed tax forms you know it is you against the world which is why it has been on the prayer list. It took an act of God to finally get everything worked out even though there are still owed taxes to the IRS.
Everyone says how much they would like the freedom of not having a boss and working for yourself. What they do not understand is you end up going from one boss to hundreds of bosses and the biggest one is Uncle Sam and Aunt Kotax. They are not so bad when you have excess funds and can pour your money down the tax toilet. It is not nearly as easy when things are tight like the last four years and you have to decide between your house payment, your suppliers, truckers, or pour it down the toilet getting nothing in return.
It is not that tough a decision between losing your home, your supplier, or letting your taxes slide for a month or three. What most people do not understand is when you are self-employed or an employer you have to pay taxes twice. Every dime you see deducted on your paycheck is matched by your employer as a corporate tax. The difference is you may get some back from what is on your paycheck, but the employer does not get back any of the matching state, federal, SSI, or unemployment taxes.
Being in the lumber business is either chicken or feathers. Unlike working for the gummit you do not get a paycheck on the first of every month you can count on like the sun coming up in the East. Working for yourself everyone gets paid except you or everyone gets paid ASAP and we have all gone through tough times so everyone is giving each other leeway for the time being and now seeing some real improvement in the economy.
This trek started a few years ago when things were improving and saw a chance to get everyone paid off including Uncle Suckyoudry and began talking with the IRS and State about getting things back in order. I tried those tax services but all they do is help you fill out the forms and charge you thousands of dollars for basically nothing. Unless you are absolutely destitute you are not going to get to start over, which means you have to work out something else which we did.
The Fed was a two-year plan although they settled right after Trump was elected which was a miracle and we will look at it again in a couple years and was able to pay off the state this week. The hardest part is going to be able to do the paperwork reconciling state and transit taxes over the last four years. The paperwork is not only overwhelming but complicated beyond belief which is why you end up spending thousands of dollars to chase tens of dollars in taxes. Nobody can figure out all the different Metro, taxes and paperwork that goes with it.
If you don’t have your paperwork in you get hit with late fees like the one which there was zero tax owed but a $200 late penalty and they just add up and add up which was most of what was owed to the state and just paid to get a fresh start.
Two years ago, I paid $42,000 in taxes and accounting for a $30,000 profit and hours of aggravation. This makes no sense and with that small amount was supposed to keep my suppliers and truckers happy.
I started doing my own taxes last year and found it was not as hard as I expected although it looks like the state is going over them with a fine-tooth comb since there is a small refund. It is amazing what you learn about taxes if you do your own which is why I am able to point out Trump gave a $32,000 standard deduction which means the first $32,000 of a married, income does not get taxed getting you a full refund but not for the business owner’s matching taxes. His no tax on SSI saved me $1500 but I still pay SSI and match it so such is life.
God is good and I have to praise him for this miracle. Keep praying, I can pay these back taxes off with the Fed even though you really feel like your are writing a check into the sewer and what is so insane when you know you are paying for sex changes and killing babies rather than cops and roads. Thanks to God for the freedom left to enjoy paying more taxes.
Pray for Revival

Whether it ends today or not this continues:
President Trump claims U.S. operations have removed millions of barrels of oil from Iran to prevent global oil prices from soaring. President Donald Trump said Wednesday that U.S. operations have quietly removed millions of barrels of oil from Iran, claiming the effort helped prevent global oil prices from soaring.
Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office, Trump said the United States has been taking "millions of barrels" through the Strait of Hormuz during the conflict with Iran, adding that the operation had not been publicly disclosed until now.
"We've been taking out millions of barrels of oil. Nobody knows it," Trump said. "We've been taking out millions of barrels of oil, millions of barrels every night."
In a subsequent Truth Social post, Trump put the number at 100 million barrels.
"Last month, I directed our Great U.S. Military to execute a secret mission to support Oil Tankers and other Commercial Ships through the Strait of Hormuz. Today, I am pleased to announce that this effort has resulted in more than 100 MILLION Barrels of Oil making its way through the Strait, and into the Open Market," he wrote.
He added, "More than 200 Commercial Ships have safely traveled through the Strait. This wildly successful effort is because the UNITED STATES of AMERICA CONTROLS the Strait of Hormuz — NOT Iran."
Trump claimed U.S. forces recently removed 22 ships of oil, saying the vessels were operating without lights and that Iranian radar capabilities had been severely degraded.
"We took out the other night 22 ships late at night with no lights because they don't have any radar," Trump said. "Because we blasted the crap out of it."
More than 200 commercial ships have safely traveled through the strait overall, he said.
The president argued the actions helped keep oil prices from rising far higher amid the conflict.
"That's why oil is $85 a barrel," Trump said. "Millions of barrels of oil has come out, and that's why it's at $85, $90 a barrel instead of $250."
Trump said he had refrained from discussing the operation publicly because he did not want to jeopardize its effectiveness.
"It was very hard for me. I wanted to say it so badly, but I didn't want to ruin it," he said. "Now that they figured it out, I can tell you."

So bottom line has Trump boxed in the igrc/mullahs into a head I win tails you lose situation?
Has he 4D ed the igrc?
If the mullahs keep refusing to sign on will Trump keep selling oil, will it go to freedom fighters eventually?
Or if the mullahs do sign will Trump turn billions in cash or oil revenue over to them?
I have had a CPA for 40 years. Like you said the last few years for small business has been as tough as it gets. I have no stock portfolio just a big inventory to fall back on. It has saved me over and over but things are never easy.
In my business if you have a good idea you used to get 2 years out of it before it was copied to death. Now it's more like 6 months. And if business is off it really doesn't matter.
Doing you own thing is tough but can get rewarding. I'm still struggling but it's better than the alternative.
It’s hard to say it’s not being covered, Rod, because with Mullin on 2 Fox shows and Pete and Deep Stater Warner, who will belittle whatever Pete and Mullin bring up, it very well should be covered. I think Maria will... Shannon?
But you could very well be correct! It’s the Drivebys ignoring any Trump acheivements...

Florida Sheriff ERUPTS on Reporter Who Tried to Hijack Child Sex Predator Sting Press Conference with Unrelated Questions: ‘This Conference is Solely for Those Pieces of Sh*t’
When a driveby media type tried to change the topic she got this from sheriff billy:
“Alright, so you just pissed me off. Out of all this shit, you want to ask him about some other case? We're talking about children.”
He continued, making it crystal clear where his priorities were:
It doesn't make a difference. I'm not here to talk about what FHP did. I'm here to talk about what they did. Nothing else. This press conference is solely for those pieces of shit that are right there.
Finally a true patriot besides our President who is not afraid to tell the press not to mess with him and his report.
Ha! That’s funny. Say it, Sheriff!
The only thing she failed to mention was that we here at FR and numerous other sites had all the information several years ago. Once again we do the dirty work and are called conspiracy purveyors.Later on with when the truth is revealed:
AGAIN!!!
Turns out the blogosphere had scored again.
irregardless shes a rock star in my book':
Its rare anyone in a higher office will tell it like it is!!
Love it. Why do I feel like the left will be losing the remainder of their minds today? For some reason I can not wait to watch MSnow not wish President Trump a happy birthday. I will be one of the 20 people watching it today so you don’t have to. I feel so dirty! Lol.
How the price of oil has stayed under a hundred dollars is a miracle. This is really the right way to fight a war economically rather than militarily.
LOl yeah its hard to watch,so much BS so many lies.
I had a CPA for 20 years and he retired and then used on for a couple of years which I question how good a job he did since he tore apart everything my original CPA did. Paying 15K for my taxes was too much. My business it turns out is very simple especially with Turbo Tax which walks you through it.
I have no inventory etc. so it is as simple as it can get.
DJT claims the iranian oil he sold made the difference between 115 and 85,he could be right.
