As President Donald Trump’s military parade rolled through the nation’s capital on Saturday, millions of Americans across the country took part in the largest coordinated protests against the president since the start of his second administration. While Trump’s parade aimed to show America’s military prowess in its new era — remade under the administration’s anti-diversity, equity and inclusion policies — over 2,000 protests planned for major cities and small towns nationwide were expected to outdo the president’s parade in scale. “These are not normal times in America. This is not a normal presidency,” Rep. Chuy Garcia (D-Ill.) told thousands of...

Father’s Day has always been straightforward for me. Three children, three reasons to celebrate, three sources of endless pride and occasional worry. Now, as I sit in the quiet of our home in Israel, the mathematics of fatherhood have become impossibly complex. I navigate between celebrating a miracle and still mourning an irreplaceable loss. On Oct. 7, 2023, my world shattered into pieces that I am still trying to reassemble. In the space of a few hours, our family’s life in Kibbutz Nir Oz – a place founded by my children’s grandparents – became a story of survival, loss, and...

When outbreaks of vaccine-preventable diseases such as measles occur despite highly effective vaccines being available, it's easy to conclude that parents who don't vaccinate their children are misguided, selfish or have fallen prey to misinformation. As professors with expertise in vaccine policy and health economics, we argue that the decision not to vaccinate isn't simply about misinformation or hesitancy. In our view, it involves game theory, a mathematical framework that helps explain how reasonable people can make choices that collectively lead to outcomes that endanger them.Game theory reveals that vaccine hesitancy is not a moral failure, but simply the predictable outcome of...

🇺🇸Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem 🇮🇱(6/15/25)[Prayer]Water, Rivers, and Streams in the BibleDeuteronomy 2:26-2926 From the Desert of Kedemoth I sent messengers to Sihon king of Heshbon offering peace and saying, 27 “Let us pass through your country. We will stay on the main road; we will not turn aside to the right or to the left. 28 Sell us food to eat and water to drink for their price in silver. Only let us pass through on foot— 29 as the descendants of Esau, who live in Seir, and the Moabites, who live in Ar, did for us—until we...

SAN MATEO COUNTY, Calif. (KGO) -- Two former Caltrain employees were sentenced to a collective six months in jail this week. Both men were charged back in 2024 with the felony theft of public funds after they embezzled money to build secret apartments -- one at the Caltrain station in Burlingame and the other at the nearby Millbrae station. "This is why I say to people, never say you've seen it all, because something new like this will come up," said San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe. Wagstaffe tells ABC7 News the men lived inside the apartments for several...

Investigation uncovers 70 DNC affiliates organizing anti-Trump demonstrations across 21 states. Yesterday, as protesters readied to descend on city squares across America for a mass demonstration branded #NoKings, California Lt. Gov. Eleni Kounalakis took to MSNBC, praising the movement as a righteous stand for democracy. "People are very determined to get out there and be seen. This is the United States. We do not want a king," she said. What she didn’t say: The California Democratic Party is itself organizing today’s protests — from Orange County to Oakland — with the full institutional weight of the Democratic machine, and the...

(AFP) — Russian President Vladimir Putin told his US counterpart Donald Trump Saturday that Moscow was ready to hold a fresh round of peace talks with Kyiv after June 22, once the sides complete exchanging prisoners and soldiers’ bodies. Ukraine’s leader Volodymyr Zelensky meanwhile did not mention whether Ukraine would agree to the next round of talks, only saying that “the exchanges will be completed and the parties will discuss the next step.” Putin and Trump held a call for the fifth time since the Republican took office and sought to reset relations with Moscow, in a stark pivot from...

**SNIP** Timber once drove the economies of states like Oregon. But forest harvests nosedived beginning in the early 1990s due to stricter environmental regulations, a changing lumber market and other factors. President Donald Trump hopes to reverse that trend by executive fiat, ordering the U.S. Forest Service to ramp up logging on federal lands in what environmental groups like Earthjustice call a "cynical attempt to justify destructive logging." "It's really just about lining the pockets of timber industry executives," Blaine Miller McFeely, a senior legislative representative at Earthjustice, a nonprofit environmental law group, told Fox News Digital. The timber slump...

Every child longs for their father’s love — not just in the form of provision or protection, but through what he gives of himself: words that affirm, hands that embrace, and a steady presence that says, “You matter more than words can express.” A father’s blessing is one of the most powerful gifts a child can receive—and one of the most important a father can give. This kind of blessing is deeply biblical.

President Donald Trump’s delivered remarks Saturday evening at a historic military parade honoring the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary. "Every other country celebrates their victories," he said. "It's about time America did too — that's what we're doing tonight." "As we celebrate tonight, we also think of the hundreds of thousands of Army soldiers who have made the supreme sacrifice for our nation and selflessly laid down their lives in every war, from the revolution to the war on terror, to the Gold Star families with us today," he said.

The Israelis pulled off the most brilliant offensive in modern military history; the President orchestrated a genius misdirection; Iran’s regime is on its back feet from which it will not recover. In wartime it’s particularly difficult to ascertain what’s happening. Governments have a natural and healthy instinct to hide from public eyes what is going on, even those fully democratic ones which in peace have some constraints on official censorship. Nevertheless, the fact that so many people around the world have video-capable mobile phones and access to the internet makes it harder to hide what is happening. All week long...

Israel may have struck Iran before it could build a fissile nuclear weapon, but the Islamic Republic can still cause tremendous destruction short of a nuclear explosion. If Khamenei wants to make good on his threats, his next step will likely be to hit Israel with dirty bombs to spread radiation over large sections of its urban areas.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said Saturday he would accept an investigation into grooming gangs who sexually abused thousands of girls. Starmer had previously resisted a national inquiry into the scandal, Sky News reported, which revealed that mostly Pakistani men had groomed, trafficked and raped young white girls over a decade ago. His change of mind on the matter comes after a government-requested audit found that a nationwide investigation was needed. Starmer told reporters traveling with him to the G7 summit in Canada that he had read the report and would accept the recommendation for a national inquiry. He said...

Hossein Salami, head of the world’s leading terrorist organization, is at room temperature. Donald Trump took out Qasem Soleimani, the previous leader of Iran’s terrorist Revolutionary Guards Corps, in 2020. On Friday the 13th of June 2025, Israel erased Soleimani’s successor Salami, along with military generals, political leaders, and nuclear scientists. The latter join at least seven other scientists Israel hit in the previous decade. Iranian nuclear physicists exhibit short half-lives. The day after Trump announced the successful conclusion of trade talks with China, Israel launched against Iran. Was this coincidence? China and Iran are allied in desiring to destroy...
