Pope Francis says homosexuality is ‘not a crime’ in interview with the Associated PressPope Francis appears to contradict the teaching of saints and Church Fathers in his latest comments regarding homosexuality.ANALYSISVATICAN CITY (LifeSiteNews) — In a new interview conducted with the Associated Press, Pope Francis has once again issued brief, confusing comments on the issue of homosexuality, which seem to firmly contradict the Catholic Church’s teaching through the centuries.“Being homosexual is not a crime,” the Pontiff said, “but it’s a sin.”He made the remarks in a sit down interview he gave to the Associated Press (AP) on Tuesday, which was...

Sheriff Luna clarified that the weapon used in the attack was not an "assault rifle." Rather, Luna said the suspect used “a magazine-fed semiautomatic assault pistol … that had an extended large-capacity magazine attached to it.” The term "Assault Pistol" seems to be a recent addition to the gun control propaganda, and it is unclear what exactly it refers to. The gun control lobby has previously used the term "Assault Rifle" and "Assault Weapon" to describe and demonize certain types of firearms, but these terms have been criticized by the gun community for being misleading and not accurate. It seems...

Asteroid 2023 BU imaged by the Virtual Telescope as it approached Earth in January 2023. (Image credit: Virtual Telescope Project) Wednesday, January 25, 2023: A newly discovered asteroid that will pass very close to Earth on Friday has been photographed by an Italian astronomer as it makes its approach. The space rock, called 2023 BU, is only about 13 to 30 feet (4 to 9 meters) wide, and was discovered last Saturday (Jan. 21) by prolific Crimea-based astronomer and telescope builder Gennadiy Borisov (the same man who discovered the first interstellar comet, which now bears his name, Borisov, in 2018)...

In response to the news that there had been two mass shootings in the state of California in the space of only 48 hours, President Joe Biden did Tuesday morning what he often does when faced with a complex societal problem: He talked confidently about something else. In a hastily released statement on the topic, Biden urged “both chambers of Congress to act quickly” and send an “Assault Weapons Ban to my desk.” Tragedy, meet non sequitur. The notion that the ambitions of nihilist mass murderers are likely to be meaningfully constrained by arbitrary limitations on the way that certain...

Take a look at the screencap, and try to guess what California Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom was smiling so broadly about in an interview aired on today's CNN This Morning:The recent rains filling many of the state's reservoirs? Perhaps the presence of the San Francisco 49ers in this weekend's NFC championship game? Nope. Bizarrely, Newsom unleashed this—and several other—megawatt smiles while discussing the recent mass shootings in his state that have claimed 18 lives. It’s apparently safe now to make the obvious point that Ukraine is run by fiends and so maybe dumping American taxpayer dollars on the corrupt little nation without any strings attached was a little hasty.Maybe we’re getting ahead of ourselves, but The New York Times on Tuesday did take time to report the slew of firings and forced resignations of top Ukrainian government officials, a push by President Volodymyr Zelensky(yyy), for the purpose of “reassuring Ukraine’s allies — which are sending billions of dollars in military aid — that his government would show zero tolerance for graft…”Well, that was kind...

The decision to move forward with providing the tanks marks a reversal for the Biden administration, which had been resisting pressure from Germany to send them to Ukraine. President Joe Biden on Wednesday announced that the United States is sending 31 Abrams tanks to Ukraine in its war against Russia. The U.S. will also provide the necessary training and supplies needed to operate and run these tanks, he said. NBC News reported the development Tuesday. The president said sending the tanks will "enhance Ukraine’s capacity to defend its territory and achieve its strategic objectives" because they are "the most capable...

Credit: NASA GSFC/CIL/Adriana Manrique Gutierrez On Sunday, January 15, 2023, the James Webb Space Telescope’s Near Infrared Imager and Slitless Spectrograph (NIRISS) experienced a communications delay within the instrument, causing its flight software to time out. The instrument is currently unavailable for science observations while NASA and the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) work together to determine and correct the root cause of the delay. There is no indication of any danger to the hardware, and the observatory and other instruments are all in good health. The affected science observations will be...

A group of Republican House members led by Rep. Eric Burlison (R-MO) put forth legislation Wednesday to repeal the National Firearms Act (1934), thereby stripping the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) of the ability to turn law-abiding gun owners into criminals. The legislation is called the Repeal the NFA Act. Burlison tweeted: “The Repeal the NFA Act will strip the ATF of its authority to criminalize lawful gun owners and undo nearly 90 years of assault on our fundamental freedoms. I’m proud to stand with Americans nationwide as we take this issue head-on.”

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) is reportedly considering her “options” following a judge’s decision to strike down the coronavirus vaccine mandate on healthcare workers. The New York Supreme Court Justice Gerard Neri this month concluded that the Empire State exceeded its authority by mandating the Chinese coronavirus vaccine on healthcare workers, deeming the rule “null, void and of no effect.” New York’s Department of Health disagreed with the decision, deeming vaccines — which do not prevent transmission of the virus, nor do they prevent one from contracting the virus — “a critical public health tool.”

Our First Look At Jim Jordan’s Bogus Subcommittee Speaker Kevin McCarthy announced the members of Rep. Jim Jordan’s already notorious subcommittee that is running interference for coup plotters, Trump, and his own members under federal investigation by targeting the Justice Department, FBI, and other “Deep State” players: A few notes: Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA), whose phone was seized by the FBI as part of its Jan. 6 investigation and who has insisted he’s not too compromised to serve on the subcommittee, didn’t make the cut. Democrats haven’t named their members of the subcommittee yet. Politico reports that McCarthy plans to...

MSNBC host Joe Scarborough said Tuesday “Morning Joe” that the discovery of classified documents at the home of former Vice President Mike Pence made it “clear” that former President Donald Trump’s actions were illegal. Scarborough said, “You know, Pence actually only shines as brighter light on Trump. Biden actually only shines a brighter light on Trump illegalities.” He continued, “What Mike Pence did and what Joe Biden did is what law-abiding citizens would do. They find classified documents. They immediately contact the authorities. They immediately secure them. And they immediately get them to the DOJ. Donald Trump, on the other...

WASHINGTON (AP) — Ratcheting up his criticism of the Biden administration, Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin on Wednesday moved to delay new tax credits for electric vehicles, a key feature of President Joe Biden’s landmark climate law. Manchin said guidelines issued by the Treasury Department allow manufacturers in Europe and other countries to bypass requirements that significant portions of EV batteries be produced in North America. The climate law, officially known as the Inflation Reduction Act, “is first and foremost an energy security bill,” Manchin said, adding that “the EV tax credits were designed to grow domestic manufacturing and reduce our...

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif) rejected President Biden's demand for a "clean" debt ceiling hike, saying "cramming a bloated federal spending package through during the 'lame duck' session showed total disrespect for the American people's concerns about government overspending. The Republican majority in the House intends to give these concerns a fair hearing. Fending off bankruptcy should be a bipartisan effort." Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen called the Republicans' focus on the national debt "naive. The federal government isn't your random seeker of borrowed money. It is the most powerful organization on the planet. It can crush any opposition--foreign...
