A group of Republican House members led by Rep. Eric Burlison (R-MO) put forth legislation Wednesday to repeal the National Firearms Act (1934), thereby stripping the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) of the ability to turn law-abiding gun owners into criminals.

The legislation is called the Repeal the NFA Act. Burlison tweeted: “The Repeal the NFA Act will strip the ATF of its authority to criminalize lawful gun owners and undo nearly 90 years of assault on our fundamental freedoms. I’m proud to stand with Americans nationwide as we take this issue head-on.”

The Senate will ignore it.

Not so very long ago, the Republican Party had control of the House AND the Senate; the President was also a Republican.

For some odd reason, legislation of this nature was not even considered then.

Yeah, this is a lot like the repeal-Obamacare posturing once there was no chance of that actually happening.

It’s only fair for the law abiding to possess the same weapons the criminals and cartel members do.

Because the limp-wristed POS RePukelicans are never as courageous, as when they know the results of their "brave" pro-America policies have absolutely ZERO chance of passing. Nothing but pandering bullcrap to the uninformed masses... I'm sure you already knew, you just forgot the sarcasm tag. :)

Yes, its a lot like it, in that repealing Obamacare passed every time when they had no chance of getting it through the other chamber they didn’t control. Once they had house, senate, and presidency they folded like the assistant democrats the Rinos are.

Was at the in-door range last week.

3 guys in the next lane had a full-auto .223 they were taking turns with.

They went through about 1,000 rounds in less than an hour.

I am absolutely sick of it. They are playing us for ignorant fools. It is a slap in the face when they do this full well knowing it is an absolute waste of time.

It is embarrassing... Even the Democrats are smart enough to not try and BS their base. There is nothing coming out of the Senate because they know it won’t fly anyhow...

All they did was to relabel one of dozens of so-called bills they used to introduce to cancel obamycare...

We know how that ended up...

The GOP promotes lots of fake bills, like this one, when dems are in power.

We see none of it whenever they get control.
