Presumptive 2024 GOP nominee President Donald Trump maintains a commanding lead over potential 2024 primary rivals with 55% support, according to the latest Emerson poll
In the 2024 Republican Primary, Donald Trump holds a 26-point advantage over Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, leading 55% to 29%. Other candidates to receive support include Mike Pence at 6% and Nikki Haley at 3%. Since the November national poll, Trump’s support has held at 55% while DeSantis’s support increased by four percentage points, from 25% to 29%.
The January poll found a majority of Republican voters (55%) expect Trump to be the nominee, regardless of whom they support, while 35% expect DeSantis to be the nominee. Ten percent expect someone else to be the nominee.
Kimball said, “There is an age and educational divide within the Republican primary. Young Republican voters under 35 break for Trump over DeSantis, 73% to 13%, whereas college educated voters break for DeSantis over Trump 40% to 33%.” [Emerson]
Morning Consult put out a poll with Trump in similar command, enjoying 49 percent to DeSantis’ 30 percent support, with Nikki Haley at 3 percent and Tim Scott at an abysmal 1 percent.
Trump Maintains Steady Lead: Just over a year out from the Republican Party’s first presidential nominating contest, Trump remains the front-runner in a hypothetical crowded field, backed by 49% of potential Republican primary voters. That gives him a 19-percentage-point lead over Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, up from an 11-point record-low advantage measured at the beginning of the month.
Trump’s Favorability Rating Is Improving: DeSantis, who is yet to launch a presidential campaign, has largely lost the popularity advantage he held over Trump throughout much of December and early January, with the latest survey showing the two with almost identical net favorability ratings.[Morning Consult]
DeSantis will have to consult with democrat election officials all other the country to find out how to ‘win’ the same way democrats ‘won’. ;)

Don’t trust polls… it creates complacency. That’s how we lost a lot of the races in November plus the cheating didn’t help any either. The base did not show up for Kari Lake because of complacency. Everybody thought she was gonna win in a cakewalk and stayed home plus the absolutely astronomical cheating didn’t help her. We needed to go out in droves to overcome all that cheating. But I hope the Republicans have gotten smart and do not turn in their tally of votes until all the Democrat areas do first. That is what continues to killed us. That is how we lost Arizona. CHEATING!
