One of them taught me that "The Coast Guard is that hard nucleus about which the Navy forms in time of war.'' But there's one thing I haven't been able to get a straight answer on. What I want to know is, how's the awning? Cadets. Aye, aye, sir! The President. Well -- [laughter] -- I hope that means it's all right. I decided to take if you want out of my busy day to talk about what happened a couple hours ago. During a working session one of my colleagues and 2 of my supervisors in the meeting began to brag about the second round of the “vaccine” that they had received and also began bragging about how awful they felt after the shot and in some cases, still feeling awful after a few days. Over the past few weeks, I have been hearing these common stories from friends and co-workers alike. Rough guess: at least 14 shot-takers; all but one...

Letitia James has undermined herself, corrupted her high office, and debased the rule of law. Before Democrat Letitia James was ever elected Attorney General of New York in 2018, she vowed to exploit the immense powers of that high office to investigate and prosecute then-President Donald Trump for his business transactions. Never mind that James was not privy to any evidence or documents that the then-president had ever violated state laws as a real estate developer. Being bereft of facts did not deter her from accusing Trump of everything from "money laundering" to "defrauding Americans." She publicly denounced him as...

The state made about $2.1 billion in unemployment insurance overpayments during the coronavirus pandemic, according to Ohio’s human services agency. That figure includes overpayments that were the result of fraud or errors, Matt Damschroder, director of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, said Monday. […] … The overpayments came in both the traditional state unemployment insurance program and the federal Pandemic Unemployment Assistance program. The largest amount of nonfraud overpayments came in the federal aid program that covers self-employed individuals, at about $1.2 billion. The largest amount of overpayments due to fraud involved the same federal program, with...

The US and China have engaged in a war of words over the South China Sea after an American warship sailed close to a disputed set of islands. The row was sparked after the USS Curtis Wilbur, an Arleigh-Burke class destroyer, sailed past the Paracel Islands on Thursday. China accused the warship of 'illegally' entering its territory and said the vessel was 'expelled' by its naval and air forces. But the Navy's 7th Fleet hit back, saying the ship was not 'expelled' and that China does not control those waters - which are also claimed by Vietnam and Taiwan. China...

I recently purchased a new computer, and over the last few weeks I've been transferring files from the old one to the new one. While doing this I've been combing through some of these files and checking to ensure that they will work with new versions of various applications I commonly use. One of the things that caught my eye was the "Play Count" number for each of the MP3 and MP4 files I am moving from one computer to the other. As I went through these tracks on iTunes, I decided to rank them in the order of their...

WASHINGTON — Sen. Mitt Romney took issue with the suggestion that children develop better in an environment outside their homes rather than being reared by one or both parents during a Senate committee hearing Tuesday. The Utah Republican said Democratic proposals on child care seem to have "significant bias" toward getting women and men into the labor force as opposed to saying it's acceptable for a parent to stay home. "It does seem like the administration strongly prefers getting kids out of the home and getting both parents into the workforce," he said.

Special Report: Religious Indifferntism Destroyed the Church’s Missionary ZealBrian McCall speaks with Crisis Magazine’s Editor-in-Chief Eric Sammons about his research into the insidious infiltration of religious indifferentism into the post-Counciliar Church. In his recently released new book Deadly Indifference, Sammons warns that it is not only outright heresy that has destroyed the Church’s missionary zeal. Perhaps even more deadly is the practical religious indifferentism that can technically avoid the charge of heresy and that has been promoted by all the post-Counciliar popes and not merely Pope Francis. His new book can be ordered at Sophia Institute Press https://www.sophiainstitute.com/products/item/deadly-indifference. Link to...
