Brian McCall speaks with Crisis Magazine’s Editor-in-Chief Eric Sammons about his research into the insidious infiltration of religious indifferentism into the post-Counciliar Church. In his recently released new book Deadly Indifference, Sammons warns that it is not only outright heresy that has destroyed the Church’s missionary zeal. Perhaps even more deadly is the practical religious indifferentism that can technically avoid the charge of heresy and that has been promoted by all the post-Counciliar popes and not merely Pope Francis. His new book can be ordered at Sophia Institute Press https://www.sophiainstitute.com/products/item/deadly-indifference.

Who cares?......................................../s
I think illiteracy and indifference are closely related.
That’s probably the double edged sword of Christianity. The paradisiacal life that it has created, on this side of eternity, creates a sense of self-sufficiency that leads people away from God.
We’ve always been our own worst enemy.
Human nature. Adam and Eve had everything and they still became self-sufficient and fell.
I think that is part of our existence, to teach us unquestionably that we are dependent upon God for everything.
1. The loss of the sense that the claim of Christ to be the unique Savior of mankind. Now “all roads lead to God.”
2. Unprecedented material prosperity that has led to an impression of self-satisfaction and being a self-made man. “Who needs God— if he even exists?”
3. The loss of the belief in hell. People have gotten the idea that “a loving God wouldn’t send anyone to hell”. If everyone goes to heaven anyway, why follow Jesus, let alone invite others to follow him?
Of course these are all errors, but such is the dominant spirit of the age.
INDIFFERNTISM
??wouldnt indifference be a better choice?
I was agreeing with you there.
I'm an Independent, Fundamental Baptist, we support 52 or 53 missionaries at about $160.00 a month each .... and we keep adding to that.
The article has no interest for me, the misspelling did.
BUT .....
If I WAS to comment ON THE TITLE ONLY ....
I'd say it's more Catholic "theology" paired with a commie pope that is your major problem.
I'm married to a Filipina ... from a predominantly Catholic nation that is becoming less Catholic .... just a comment.
Stay well and safe.
I think the Catholic denomination is in trouble not the least of the problem is the commie pope
The very least Francis could be doing is besides raising theological questions on the assertions made in the Islamic codex (which is their code of observance and behavior) known as Sharia, and should be defending the Chinese Catholics.
also seems to ignore what Our Savior went through to establish the new covenant , Then Plays with suppressors of the faith
Francis continuing destructive confusing pontificating on temporal worldly social behavior, which has nothing to do with and avoids articles of faith and morals rebukes or restrains contemplative religious orders to favor such behavior .
By refusing to question and expound on the profound differences with the claims made by Islam and its followers Reaching out to and defend what Judeo/Christian beliefs are.Or challenge claims that Islamist make they are following God’s command using deceit and deception when ruthlessly murdering and torturing non believers and destroy their edifice .Smply because of its assertion of being monotheistic. Then winds up making a point of honoring it and placing it on an equal level because of that claim. Is leading to misguided conversions which is the result of my so called Pope playing games with this so called mono theistic cult and is creating a serious fracture within Christianity and The Roman Rite .
??wouldnt indifference be a better choice?
I think churches and secular governments have been avoiding the subject of just how bad paganism can be. People should be told what Santa Muerte is, for example, what is the harm to the souls of its believers. People need to actually know there is a problem, and that personal involvement by brave, smart Christians is required. Young men of Faith would accept a meaningful challenge.
you know there are a lot of people who have not been schooled well .
I see this word as a made up word because these people have not been taught use of a thesaurus , dictionary and lack spelling & grammar knowledge- its not taught anymore.
I find it apalling because its getting more common..once in a blue moon but this is prolific
on the internet
its a stupid attempt to write something ignorant and try to sound smart or at least “ educated”
The talking heads have been beginning sentences with the word "so" for about twenty years.
The school boards hire teachers that begin sentences and answer a question beginning with "so"
96% of America has come through the public school "system" ...
so waddaya' 'spect ?
I would think anyone who doesn't want to Hell should care.
