As Barack Obama prepares a nationwide broadcast to America's students next Tuesday, it has been revealed that Democrats complained in 1991 when then President George H. W. Bush broadcast a speech from a Northwest Washington junior high school. In fact, the House Majority leader at the time, Dick Gephardt (D-Mo.), said "The Department of Education should not be producing paid political advertising for the president, it should be helping us to produce smarter students." Such was reported by the Washington Post on October 3, 1991 (h/t KY3 Political Notebook via Chuck Todd): House Democrats criticized President Bush yesterday for using...

President Obama is now scheduled to address a joint session of Congress during prime-time on September 9. Exactly when hasn’t been set, but it’s likely to be 9pm Eastern (although the last Obama prime-time address/press conference was quickly rescheduled from 9pm to 8pm after some of the broadcasters balked, and Fox Broadcasting didn’t carry the address, but Fox News did). But the fall premieres of Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance and Glee are both currently scheduled for September 9. Whether the address is at 8pm or 9pm, it completely screws up Fox’s night since those shows are scheduled...

While the UN is supposed to be about truth and freedom, they have no problem in helping advance the Islamic agenda. In the past they have even banned the criticism of Islam at the UN in regards to human rights. This is just another example of our taxpayer dollars funding the enemy.

Apparently science has discovered the one force in nature that can silence Michael Moore: The Oprah Winfrey Show. With the premiere of his new film, Capitalism: A Love Story, looming on September 16 at the Toronto Film Festival, normally you’d expect to find Moore filling up every inch of media, shocking the bourgeoisie with his trademark Angry Guy Banging on the Palace Walls shtick, providing Matt Drudge with a new outrageous quote every news cycle. But Moore has been strangely silent in this run-up and the LA Times‘ Patrick Goldstein has learned that he plans to keep a lid on...

Once again, one of the masters of the universe trotted out on MSNBC has discovered the cure to one of society's ills - more Obama. Daily Voice editor and CNBC contributor Keith Boykin waved off the reservations of some parents about President Barack Obama addressing their children in the classroom. Boykin appeared on MSNBC on Sept. 3 in a segment about the classroom controversy and added his insightful commentary on the matter. "So much of the debate about President Obama has been politicized in an effort by some to delegitimize his presidency," Boykin said. "This is clearly much ado about...

Students will get free vaccinations. Health clinics will turn into “flu centers” to relieve hospitals. Emergency room statistics will be reported on the Web every day. And schools will close only as a last resort. Girding for a second wave of the swine flu pandemic that has already killed more than 50 people in New York City, Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg outlined a strategy on Tuesday that was equal parts infection control and panic control. “It’s natural to imagine a worst-case scenario, but all signs at this point in time do point to an outbreak that will be much more...

I know yall are not fans of the public health option, neither am I, Hawaii's Reps and Senators are making themselves very scarce (Tele-town halls etc). What can I do to make sure the nails are put in the coffin of both the health care plan, and Barack Obama's socialist agenda. I am legally a resident of the State of WA, so I can do things in that respect.

History is full of examples of conquests that seemed easy and tempting, but later turned out to be gigantic blunders. One of them was Napoleon’s decision to invade Spain in 1808 and put his elder brother Joseph on the throne. That was the first great miscalculation of his career. I strongly suspect that Obama’s decision to “reform” American health care by thoroughly politicizing it will become his Spain — a short-run victory that will in the long run prove disastrous for him. Napoleon and Spain In 1808, Napoleon was the master of continental Europe. To his south, Spain was officially...

As I read those words, my first instinct wasn't fear or even shock, but simply survival. I'd become accustomed to behaviour like this from...
