Well, yeah, three centuries later.

But the thirteenth century poems you were quoting seemed rather morose to me.

Heck, photos from a hundred years ago showed a dour, serious people. Maybe that's the norm, and our happy-go-lucky attitude is the aberration.

I see you are in Texas, and had a comment about Reagan...I spent some time tonight watching an Hour of a locally produced TV show called California Gold by Huel Howser ....on the Reagan Ranch with videos of Reagan doing brush clearing , riding his horses and his ranch hands talking about him and showing the viewer around the place...think I'll get the DVD.
