CNN has banned a conservative commentator from appearing on the network again after he told a Muslim journalist "I hope your beeper doesn't go off," an apparent reference to the spate of exploding pagers in Lebanon that killed members of the Hezbollah militant group last month. Ryan Girdusky made the comment during a heated debate with Mehdi Hasan, a prominent British-American broadcaster and an outspoken critic of Israel's war in Gaza, on "CNN Newsnight" with host Abby Phillip. The guests were discussing the racist jokes made by comedian Tony Hinchcliffe, which overshadowed former President Donald Trump's rally at New York's...

The pop sensation recently resumed his Justice World Tour after recovering from Ramsay Hunt syndrome.Justin Bieber took a moment during his concert in Trondeheim, Norway, on Sunday to speak out against racism and discrimination and plug the purpose of his 2021 album Justice. “So when we created the Justice album, we wanted to make an intentional moment,” the superstar said after greeting the screaming crowd. “A moment of unity, a moment of acceptance, a moment of belonging. In this world, there’s a lot of division, and what justice is, is for us to all come together. “We know that racism...

US voters have endured the first of three presidential debates between President Donald Trump and Joe Biden. The event has also prompted a huge reaction from world audiences who tuned in for the chaotic event. Newspapers and commentators around the world have criticized the tone and tactics of the debate. JOE BIDEN and President DONALD TRUMP took the stage in Cleveland for the first presidential debate — a 96-minute, commercial-free affair moderated by Fox News’ CHRIS WALLACE, 35 DAYS before Election Day. A few last-minute demands came in. JOE Biden has demanded a break every 30 minutes during tonight’s presidential...

Iran paraded a device this week which it claims can detect coronavirus cases from 100 yards away - but the contraption looks remarkably similar to a fake bomb detection gadget once flogged by a British fraudster. Iranian Revolutionary Guard chief Hossein Salami boasted that 'local scientists' had invented the 'state-of-the-art' device to detect virus cases 'remotely' without the need for a blood test. How this would work is unclear, but Iranian media claimed the device had an '80 per cent accuracy' rate and could eventually be adapted to 'detect all kinds of viruses'.

Can we please put on a third shift to post new articles? Late at night after a few snorts, I have a lot of fascinating things to say. At that time, I'm also quite the ladies man. Just ask anyone.

Double postings of items of interest are common. Most of the time, folks here do check before they post. If it is a newly reported item - once one has checked to make sure it is not posted - it takes time to make a new post. Some of us here are slower than others. Usually because we want to verify, clarify, and check the story over all. To those that are quick to jump with condemnation, please consider this, you are no better than the media that rush to publish a story without verification.

by Joe Callen The Trump administration stunned Democrat lawmakers and immigration advocacy groups Wednesday, announcing it will waive federal contracting laws to greatly speed up construction of a wall at the U.S.-Mexico border. The Department of Homeland Security said waiving procurement regulations will allow 377 miles of new wall to be built far more quickly in California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. The 10 waived laws include requirements for having open competition, justifying selections and receiving all bonding from a contractor before any work can begin. By one estimate, the time to complete this huge section of wall could...

WASHINGTON, D.C.—In a landmark decision, the U.S. Supreme Court bench handed down a ruling Thursday approving the death penalty for people who comment on articles without reading them. In the highly publicized case, State of Texas v. Wilbur, state authorities had found internet user Edward Wilbur guilty of posting a comment on a story linked on his Facebook page, a news story Wilbur “had clearly never read.” While most of those convicted under Texas’ recent state law banning commenting on news stories or opinion pieces without reading them get off with a few months of community service or a stiff...

There is a really weird sound that has been going on for about 30 minutes. It sounds like harmonics in the atmosphere - there are three notes. It’s completely separate from the jets coming from the airport. Can anyone else hear it? I heard it Thursday evening, also. What is it?

Friendly reminder that I'm posting this under BLOGGERS & PERSONAL so anything goes. I can post pretty much anything I want in here and it doesn't have to do with anything about politics. So grounding. The premise is that the human body is electrically charges and so it is necessary to put on your bare feet and put them on the ground for a while with no shoes or socks. Sounds all new-agey and hippie-like. I know. But I am a convert. When I spend some time outdoors in my bare feet on a regular basis, I really do feel...
