VIDEOKentucky Governor Andy Beshear thought it was a good idea to start a podcast. He must have noticed Gavin Newsom's podcast and thought it was the thing to do if you are a presidential contender. Wrong move! As you can see, all Beshear accomplished was to expose himself as a really really BORING person. His words are spoken in very carefully measured staccato portions chock full of ennui. Nothing about his personality shines at all since all he projects is the cold soul of a professional member of the Nomenklatura who dares not risk saying anything interesting for fear of...

Former President Donald Trump delivered a record-breaking speech at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Thursday evening — a speech that far-left Democrat California Gov. Gavin Newsom called “boring” in a post to X. Newsom also accused Trump of “rambling” and being a “liar” after the speech — which was, notably, Trump’s first speech since he was almost assassinated at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday. “Boring. Rambling. Liar. We will beat him,” claimed Newsom, who is often floated as a potential replacement for 81-year-old President Joe Biden but who has, so far, publicly denied considering himself...

Check all the boxes, then chuck it all aside at forty to follow your muse. Play by the rules and win, only to decide that you don’t want the prize. Most of the rebellions were minor. The devoted housewife informed her husband that she would not be cooking dinner for the family on Tuesday and Thursday nights, as she was finally taking the art class she had always dreamed of. The cliché for men was the red convertible. But some people set off explosions: quitting jobs, filing for divorce, engaging in affairs. For Baby Boomers, the midlife crisis was very...

Yet, even by Vlad’s standards, it was bad. Let’s just say it won’t do anything to challenge the stereotype of Russians as stiff and melancholic. Putin hijacked the exchange with his eccentric view of history. He gave that lecture he loves, about how Ukraine is an “artificial state” magicked up by Stalin. But there was very little grilling. Carlson asked for evidence that the CIA blew up the Nord Stream gas pipeline and then just accepted it when Putin said “I won’t get into details.” Hold on — the man who just bored us to tears with his fantasy history...

Oscar-winning director Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon is dead on arrival after its second-weekend box office collapsed to just $9 million. Apple Studios dropped a reported $200 million into this prestige flick and at least another $60 or $70 million to promote it. Thus far, after two weekends, it has grossed just $41 million domestic and $85 million worldwide. The problem is the 60 percent drop between weekend one and weekend two. That tells you the all-important word of mouth is pretty awful. The sycophants in the entertainment media will likely claim Flower Moon took a dive because...

Russia's metropolitan elites have avoided the impact of heavy battlefield casualties that the country's forces are sustaining in Ukraine, according to a new defense intelligence assessment. Russia's elite, particularly in the major cities of Moscow and St. Petersburg, have so far emerged "relatively unscathed" from the "extremely heavy casualties" being racked up in the ongoing Ukraine war, the British defense ministry said on Sunday. In the eastern regions of Russia, the death toll for Russian troops is likely more than 30 times higher than in Moscow, as a percentage of population, the ministry wrote in its daily update on Twitter....

Michelle Yeoh may have violated the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' "References to Other Nominees" rule after posting Vogue article about fellow Best Actress nominee and two-time Oscar winner Cate Blanchett. SNIP "Detractors would say that Blanchett’s is the stronger performance — the acting veteran is, indisputably, incredible as the prolific conductor Lydia Tár — but it should be noted that she already has two Oscars,” read the article. “Meanwhile, for Yeoh, an Oscar would be life-changing: Her name would forever be preceded by the phrase ‘Academy Award winner,’ and it should result in her getting meatier parts,...

Online foodies, let alone self-described relationship experts, are going nuts over President Biden and first lady Jill Biden’s decision to order the exact same thing on a recent date night in Washington. The Bidens’ choice to each order the red sauce rigatoni, grilled bread, chicory salad and glasses of Barbera wine at the Red Hen last month sparked fierce debate, not for the dish itself — but for choosing the same dish. Dozens of critics and food lovers lost their noodles over the wildly unadventurous choice, bashing the first couple for missing the chance to try multiple menu items. “There...

Elinor Remick Warren hummed her first bit of a tune at 13 months of age and only two months later could hum the whole song. At three years of age she composed her first song. A great combination of family and freedom in Teddy Roosevelt's America is the key to this child prodigy story. She grew to be a beautiful woman (click on the red link below the above title to see the proof) and successful classical musician, primarily as a composer, but also as a pianist. God Bless America and the Freedom which defines the nation. And let us...

A retired Massachusetts schoolteacher was charged with murder last week after being accused of poisoning her boyfriend’s coffee shakes with antifreeze. Judy Church, 64, of Salisbury, appeared briefly in court on Friday, one day after she was arrested on suspicion of poisoning Leroy Fowler, 55, with ethylene glycol, WCVB reported. Church called emergency services shortly after 8 p.m. Nov. 11 to report that Fowler was in “medical distress,” according to records obtained by NBC Boston. Explaining to dispatchers that her boyfriend “must have ingested something,” Church alleged that he was “pulling the bedroom apart, and had a bloody nose.”...

On Tuesday, November 15, 2022, Donald Trump announced that he will run for re-election in 2024. He gave a very serious speech and outlined the terrible problems we face. The full speech and transcript are below. “I am asking for your vote. I am asking for your support. And I am asking for your friendship and your prayers on this very incredible but dangerous journey. If our movement remains united and confident that we will shatter the forces of tyranny, and we will unleash the glories of liberty for ourselves and for, our children and for generations yet to come....

Joe Biden wanted to give a stirring speech to rouse Americans to angry purpose about the threats to democracy represented by “election deniers” running for office across the country. He was, according to CNN’s reporting, spurred to action by the horrible attack last week on the husband of the speaker of the House, which Biden believes is a direct result of Donald Trump’s effect on the United States over the past seven years. So … that’s what he wanted. But, as the great philosopher Mick Jagger once said, you can’t always get what you want. The address he delivered Wednesday...

The Director of Russia’s National Guard has begun a campaign to reassure Russian President Vladimir Putin that Ukrainians are supportive of Russia seizing territory in Ukraine when the reality couldn’t be further off. “I would like to emphasize that we can feel that the population of the liberated areas is supporting us. They realize that we are defending their right to a peaceful life and their children’s happiness,” the director, Viktor Zolotov, told Putin, according to the Kremlin. In a video of the exchange, Putin looks visibly troubled and concerned, gripping the table, while Zolotov shares his thoughts.

Pavel Filatyev knew the consequences of what he was saying. The ex-paratrooper understood he was risking prison, that he would be called a traitor and would be shunned by his former comrades-in-arms. His own mother had urged him to flee Russia while he still could. He said it anyway. “I don’t see justice in this war. I don’t see truth here,” he said over a tucked-away cafe table in the Moscow financial district. It was his first time sitting down in person with a journalist since returning from the war in Ukraine.
