Please help me understand how trump WON in a landslide yet according to this CNN article DJT never polled over 50% (CNN)Donald Trump has always been fixated on writing his name into the history books, to ensure his four years as president aren't forgotten. Well, he's done it! Trump ends his term with the lowest average job approval rating -- 41% -- of any president in the last seven-plus decades, according to Gallup. That's four points worse than the next, uh, worst -- Harry Truman, who averaged a 45% job approval score throughout his time in office. Barack Obama averaged...

Yahoo reports that the Joint Chiefs are in panic mode, warning our armed forces that it is illegal to stop the Biden transition. I agree: it is illegal to uphold the Constitution. Their sworn and sacred oath is illegal. Save the steal! (Link coming in replies)

The Lockheed SR-71 spy plane was – and still is – the fastest plane on the planet. The Goal Known unofficially as the “Blackbird” for its black paint job, which was developed to dissipate heat, the jet featured sleek lines that certainly were “futuristic” when it was flying top secret missions years before American astronauts headed to the moon. It was developed in secret in the late 1950s to cruise to 80,000 feet above the earth, near the edge of space, and out fly any missile that was launched at it.

Four times I deployed into combat zones over my Army career. Twice more as a retired civilian have I ventured to Iraq and Afghanistan in an attempt to deepen my understanding of the sources of violence that undergirded those wars. Never in my wildest imagination did I believe I would live to see the day when the United States Capitol would be stormed by a wild mob, overpowering the police, disrupting both the House and Senate from performing a critical Constitutional duty. This assault lays bare that it is time for some hard-core soul searching for both our political leaders...

The White House will spend a little over $44,000 to deep clean its carpets before President-elect Joe Biden moves in amid the coronavirus pandemic, according to a report. According to federal financial documents cited by TMZ, the amount will be spent on “Inauguration Carpet Cleaning” inside the 55,000-square-foot mansion, which has 132 rooms. It is unclear how many rooms will have fresh carpeting, according to the outlet. While a major scrubbing of the presidential home occurs regularly when a new commander-in-chief moves in, a more thorough cleaning is expected this time around due to the virus.

Archaeologists in Florida recently confirmed that they discovered the bones of many young children buried under the last place that one might have thought to look: a wine store. However, there will be no police investigation. The Florida wine shop is in St. Augustine, the oldest city in America. And those bones? And those bones? Theyâre just about as old as the city is.

At Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument, a remote desert area in southwestern Arizona bordered by Mexico to the south and a Native American reservation to the east, red-lettered signs warning ofâ BLASTINGâ began appearing over the past week. Crews have been blasting the hillside while excavators and backhoes are clearing a path for the Trump administrationâs towering border wall sections, a pace that environmental groups are concerned that sacred burial sites and ancestral lands are at risk of being irreversibly damaged.

My daughter used to be a conservative until she went to college. It has been less than a year, and she's now using liberal talking points in all her political debates with me. Yesterday she sent me an article titled "The Treason of the Ruling Class" by Chris Hedges (I can't link it here due to a FreeRepublic's restriction). I have made it my mission now to try to research and provide my daughter with facts because she doesn't get them from the websites that she's visiting. I have been reading FreeRepublic for years, but this is my first time...

The Leftist propaganda machine is running circles around itself trying to prove that Bevin’s Kentucky loss is the first sign of a Trump Train derailment. As usual, the machine could not be more wrong. First of all, it is important to understand that the movement behind Trump is not actually about Trump and never was. Rather, Trump is a figure and person to whom this ragtag band of Americans known alternatively as the grassroots or Tea Party movement has chosen to support because he represents our frustrations and ideals with the very clearly broken American Republic and way of life;...

Last week, at the invitation of Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, I spoke to the Senate Judiciary Committee about Google’s having placed more than 60 Prager University videos on its restricted list. ast week, at the invitation of Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, I spoke to the Senate Judiciary Committee about Google’s having placed more than 60 Prager University videos on its restricted list. Any family that filters out pornography and violence cannot see those particular videos on YouTube (which is owned by Google); nor can any school or library. This statement is as much about what I and PragerU stand for...

Yesterday, Dahoser helpfully posted this outrageously deceptive article from The Hill. Thank you, Dahoser. The post received much attention from Freepers, who made many good comments. Since most people likely don't have the time to wade through all 131 comments, I will summarize here some particularly astute observations as well as add my own. I hope that it will be a helpful exercise in highlighting many of the ways the media attempts to deceive us, particularly with statistics. We should be concerned not just to avoid being deceived ourselves but also to recognize the powerful influence articles like this have...

As night follows day, mass shootings in America are followed by a succession of Democratic politicians and liberal activists pushing for tighter gun restrictions. Almost as reliably, those efforts fail. But in the wake of the massacre in Las Vegas, in which Stephen Paddock killed 58 people and injured hundreds more at an outdoor concert, there is reason to believe this time might be different. Paddock used “bump stock” devices that effectively turn semi-automatic firearms into fully automatic weapons, causing a higher death toll. Republicans and Democrats in Congress have shown some support for a ban of bump stocks. House...

Hey all I've long been reading FR since living out west in Utah. I've moved to thankfully another Red state GA and have decided to join in the conversation. I've found FR to be an invaluable resource for my values and look forward to providing my input.

Bowe Bergdahl is innocent. He has suffered enough in his life. Blame which ever service accepted him in after the Voast Guard rejected him. From a very young man he was raised in a tiny Idaho town. Although a warm , gentle Mama..his father was/is judgement & a zealot. Bowe was home schooled so his exposure to "0thers" was Nile. He left home to get away from his father's odd philosophy. Bowe has slight autism. please pardon..he's innocent.

I've been lurking on the newsfeed for a really, really long time. Like maybe since the last century. Now that I see FRP is all in Perl, that memory seems quite likely. ;) I will be fumbling around a bit. Old guy here, just saying hello and seeing if anyone yells at me for posting incorrectly. Orlando, Florida (CNN)President-elect Donald Trump said Friday his supporters were "violent" during the 2016 campaign. Trump made the admission Friday night during a rally here on the Florida leg of his "Thank You" tour. During the campaign, he repeatedly downplayed violent outbursts his supporters displayed at times toward protesters and insisted that paid activists were instead responsible for inciting violence at his rallies. "You people were vicious, violent, screaming, 'Where's the wall? We want the wall!' Screaming, 'Prison! Prison! Lock her up!' I mean you are going crazy. I mean, you were nasty and mean and vicious and you wanted...

I couldn't help myself - I joined Twitter today and tweeted to Hillary that she should be ashamed of herself for attempting a coup in America. It was liberating, but risky because if she read it while drunk (fairly likely) I could be in real trouble. Fellow Freepers, if I stop posting please check local state parks for my body in case I commit suicide by shooting myself in the head 3 times.

Been lurking since the start of the primaries. Always was middle-of-the-road politically, but enough is enough! Orlando was the last straw. This #AskTheGays nonsense on Twitter is making my blood boil.
