The White House will spend a little over $44,000 to deep clean its carpets before President-elect Joe Biden moves in amid the coronavirus pandemic, according to a report.

According to federal financial documents cited by TMZ, the amount will be spent on “Inauguration Carpet Cleaning” inside the 55,000-square-foot mansion, which has 132 rooms.

It is unclear how many rooms will have fresh carpeting, according to the outlet.

While a major scrubbing of the presidential home occurs regularly when a new commander-in-chief moves in, a more thorough cleaning is expected this time around due to the virus.

I don’t care. If they put Biden in there, then the White House becomes the enemy HQ. It is NOT the seat of the legitimate President of the USA.

The Tax Payers will be told to Bend Over

The fun will be felt most keenly by those smug well-to-do urbanites who actually voted for the sucker because DJT wasn’t “Presidential”.

One of the first things I do when I buy a house is remove the carpeting. Far as I’m concerned it’s dirty laundry. A fabric that has been walked on by people in shoes, people not in shoes, pets, trailing and embedding Lord knows what.

Let’s say you buy a brand new shirt and put it down on the bathroom floor for a week or two. Would you then let the baby crawl on it, or put it anywhere else at all except the washing machine? Of course not. Yet people keep carpeting for years and all they do is vacuum it.

It’s the filthiest thing in the house.

And not only do you go barefoot on it, but with every step, you make microscopic crud float up into the air and sometimes into your lungs.

Just say no.

Just to show how petty Biden is he has demanded that they change out all the brass doorknobs that Trump had installed to replace the small antiquated black doorknobs that were worn. The brass doorknobs had an American eagle motif and are very ornate and appropriate for the nations house. Biden hates Trump so much that he wants even this symbol removed.

With a 6 percent most admired Rasmussen rating Biden is just a single digit midget.

I can understand steam cleaning the basement carpet for biden’s short tenure...but the entire house?

Maybe they are planning ahead. Heels Up will get carpet burns in every room in the mansion, and requests freshly clean carpets for her guests.

Makes sense...

When I bought my place a few years ago, I parked a dumpster out front and took out everything except the walls. Cabinets, sinks, etc. Bleached the crap out of it, then cleaned it again.

Then rebuilt the interior.

It only takes about $1 of carpet shampoo to clean our house.

Multiply that out to 55,000 sq ft. Shampoo plus a crew of 10 @ $20/hr for an 8 hour day = $1650 of taxpayer dollars. We’re getting stiffed again.

Well it’s ok because it’s where Biden spends most of his play and nap time.

This is a non-news story. I’m sure carpet cleaning occurs on a scheduled basis at the White House and always has.

I only buy old houses, so maybe that’s why I’ve never removed a carpet without finding a beautiful wood floor underneath!

Usually they’re covered with several coats of old paint or varnish, but still totally worth restoring. Once you do, they’re easy to clean and they make a house much easier to sell, too!

Never saw the WH floors, they must be wonderful!
