A bunch of us were up at the Stillwater bridge from 11-3 today, while the hippies were only there from 1-2. We got A LOT of honks, waves, and thumbs-up, and only two flick-offs. Local rally at the Oceanside CA ampitheater, just outside Camp Pendleton, home of the 1st MEF currently driving toward Baghdad. Many of those in attendance were wives, girlfriends, and family members of deployed marines.

I'm not real good at judging the numbers but I would say around 800 to maybe 1000 showed up today at a Support the troops Rally in Alvin, Tx.. I wonder how many small towns like this were having Rally's for the troops that don't make the national news. I like to stress there are more of us than there are of the anti war protestors. Today I was surrounded by hundreds of Iraqi-Americans. It was great! Assyrians in Chicago had a rally in one of the City parks to demonstrate their complete solidarity with the vow of President Bush to remove Saddam and his regime from power. A crowd of flag-waving patriots participated in a second Rally for America in the New Orleans area on Sunday afternoon at the Korean Monument park on the median across from the Lakeside Shopping Center mall in Metairie, LA.
