Surging gas prices have hit American drivers hard — but some much harder than others. For households in the bottom quarter of the income distribution — those earning roughly $40,000 a year or less — commuting fuel costs now consume an average of about 4 percent of their income, according to a Washington Post analysis. For households in the top quarter, earning $100,000 or more, the same costs amount to less than 1 percent. The gap has widened since March, as the U.S. war on Iran escalated and oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz stalled, with implications for global...

"The Blockade will remain in full force and effect until an agreement is reached, certified, and signed. Both sides must take their time and get it right," Trump writes President Trump said on Sunday that he has told U.S. negotiators "not to rush into a deal" with Iran at this time. On Saturday, Trump had said that a peace deal with Iran was "largely negotiated." Trump emphasized that the U.S. naval blockade will "remain in full force" in the meantime. "One of the worst deals ever made by our Country was the Iran Nuclear Deal, put forth and signed into...

Linebacker Abdul Carter was among New York Giants players Saturday who shut down speculation that quarterback Jaxson Dart's political views were causing division in the locker room. Dart, the Giants' second-year starter, introduced President Donald Trump at a pep rally Friday at Rockland Community College in Suffern, New York. They were at an event for New York Rep. Mike Lawler about 35 miles northwest of New York City. "Look, Big Blue Nation, it's a pleasure to be here. I've got to start this off with a 'Go Big Blue.' I'd love if you all would follow with me," Dart said...

New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart is receiving plenty of backlash after introducing President Donald Trump at a recent political rally. “Big Blue nation, it’s a pleasure to be here,” Dart, 23, told a crowd in Suffern, New York, on Friday, May 22, during a campaign-like rally for Republican congressman Mike Lawler, who is up for reelection in a tough swing district. “What an honor, what a privilege it is to be here, and without further ado, I’m grateful, I’m honored, I’m pleasured to introduce the 45th and 47th president of the United States of America, President Donald J. Trump.”...

The media has an odd term for the sullen young women who have made a sexual fetish of pretty-boy killer Luigi Mangione. They’re called Luigi Fangirls. It evokes a frolic, young women skipping down the street, singing, holding hands. You know, “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.” But I much prefer another name, a more direct name: Witches. I’m told that witches are supposedly fictional, a phobia created by men, by the patriarchy, to impose our evil will upon women who cling to stories like “The Handmaid’s Tale,” to justify generations of their cruelties upon boys, from wholesale abortion to “gender...

The first time everything changed this decade was on March 11, 2020, the day America's eyes were opened to COVID. More than 4,000 people around the world had died before that date... That all changed on Wednesday, March 11. That day, the World Health Organization declared COVID-19 a pandemic, the Dow Jones officially entered a bear market, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson announced they had COVID, Donald Trump issued a travel ban on people traveling from Europe, and the NBA suspended its season after star center Rudy Gobert tested positive for the virus. I will never forget the queasy, giddy,...

Iran is expected to agree to a 60-day memorandum of understanding that will ultimately end the war between the US and Iran if negotiated terms are met in the coming months. It is now being reported that after Trump’s conference call with Gulf and Arab leaders on Saturday, which Trump announced was a success, Iran’s supreme leader has approved the deal, pending additional review from Iranian leadership. Iran has reportedly also agreed in principle to dispose of highly enriched uranium. Vice President JD Vance, Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff, and Special Peace Envoy Jared Kushner are currently...

It's beginning to look a lot like there's a deal with Iran in the making. President Trump has been making optimistic remarks, while noting that the United States is sticking by its one primary point, which is preventing Iran from ever making or obtaining a nuclear weapon. Multiple reports have indicated that U.S. negotiators believe that Iran has committed to giving up its nuclear ambitions and its highly enriched uranium as a part of a broader peace deal with President Donald Trump. On Saturday afternoon, President Trump announced that an “agreement has been largely negotiated” between Washington and Tehran. However, Mr Trump said that the final details of the deal were still being discussed and would not be made public at the time. JD Vance, now the lone dove in Donald Trump's cabinet after Tulsi Gabbard's resignation, has been left more isolated than ever and is even considering abandoning a run for the presidency in 2028, multiple sources tell the Daily Mail. Gabbard's resignation letter cited her husband's diagnosis with a rare form of cancer. But the whispers racing through the West Wing find common ground: Iran. Vance's most senior non-interventionist ally is gone, and even as he expressed his sorrow for the exit of his 'dear friend' on Friday, insiders told the Daily Mail that his own future is at the front...

Sen. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.) on Sunday criticized Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R), whom President Trump endorsed over incumbent Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) in the Senate GOP runoff in the Lone Star State. “He is a failure. He doesn’t deserve to be in the U.S. Senate,” Tillis told host Jake Tapper on CNN’s “State of the Union.” Trump on Tuesday endorsed Paxton, a firebrand conservative who filed litigation in support of the president’s push to overturn the 2020 election. In endorsing the Texas attorney general over a four-term senator, Trump said Paxton “is a true MAGA warrior” and Cornyn, while...

In cycle-loving Amsterdam, authorities have barred so-called fatbikes from the busy Vondelpark after rising complaints over speeding youths and unsafe paths. City officials have implemented an unprecedented ban on “fatbikes” in Amsterdam’s iconic Vondelpark to protect the crowds of locals and tourists who visit daily on foot, traditional hire bicycles, or roller skates. The restriction follows growing public frustration over youths tearing through the city on the robust electric vehicles. Reports of “fatbike gangs” causing havoc recently culminated in a petition against aggressive riders that gathered 2,400 signatures, with organisers arguing Pavements are racetracks. Public space no longer feels safe....

Who is on the left these days, and who is on the right? Who can tell? Hunter Biden appeared as a guest on the Candace Show, illustrating the new political alignment–not so much left vs right, as crazy vs sane. I haven’t listened to the show–I only have so many brain cells left–so I rely on the New York Post for a report on the interview: Former first son Hunter Biden wildly claimed that Israeli intelligence was behind the Ukraine corruption allegations against him and former President Joe Biden in a new interview with Candace Owens. The 56-year-old pointed claimed...

Trans athlete AB Hernandez turned in first place finishes in long jump, triple jump and high jump MOORPARK, Calif. – "It’s an outlier." That’s the common argument from left-wing transgender activists. They say that biological males taking the spotlight from girls in girls' sports isn’t the big deal that it’s made out to be by "the right" ... because it "hardly ever happens." Tell that to the high school girls from California, like senior Reese Hogan of Crean Lutheran, who are watching it happen, yet again. Transgender track athlete AB Hernandez was standing atop multiple podiums on Saturday and is...

Iran has agreed to surrender its stockpile of highly enriched uranium as part of a “largely negotiated” deal to end the war, according to US sources. The deal includes an “apparent commitment” to giving up the uranium, but a concrete plan of how this would be done is expected to be established in further rounds of talks, two US officials told The New York Times.Iran’s nuclear programme has been a sticking point in negotiations since the US and Tehran agreed to a ceasefire in April, and agreeing to give up its uranium would represent a major concession from the Islamic Republic.However,...

President Trump vowed Sunday Iran will never have a nuclear weapon — after top GOP Senators openly voiced skepticism over the reported details of the delicate peace deal. Trump, who previously said on Saturday that his negotiators were “finalizing” the agreement, suggested in a post on Truth Social Sunday morning that he would wait until the right agreement could be struck. “I have informed my representatives not to rush into a deal in that time is on our side. The Blockade will remain in full force and effect until an agreement is reached, certified, and signed,” he said. “Both sides...
