Who is on the left these days, and who is on the right? Who can tell? Hunter Biden appeared as a guest on the Candace Show, illustrating the new political alignment–not so much left vs right, as crazy vs sane. I haven’t listened to the show–I only have so many brain cells left–so I rely on the New York Post for a report on the interview:
Former first son Hunter Biden wildly claimed that Israeli intelligence was behind the Ukraine corruption allegations against him and former President Joe Biden in a new interview with Candace Owens.
The 56-year-old pointed claimed that two Israeli-American citizens, disgraced FBI informant Alexander Smirnov and fugitive Gal Luft, were at the heart of the allegations that resulted in years-long investigations of the first family as part of a nearly two hours interview with Owens.
“They’re the two principal individuals that made the only claim that people hung their hat in — in Congress and elsewhere as it relates to my dad and corruption, bribery,” Biden claimed.
Actually, Hunter being paid millions by a Ukrainian natural gas company for doing nothing, while his father was managing American policy toward Ukraine, was another source of corruption allegations. As was, more broadly, the fact that $20 million or more was traced from foreign sources to bank accounts owned by Joe Biden’s family members, in return for zero legal services being performed by anyone.
Hunter expanded his false claim into an anti-Israel conspiracy theory:
Hunter pointed out that Luft is a former Israel Defense Forces officer who is believed to be living in Israel as a fugitive and claimed the “Israelis will not help us locate.”
He also claimed Smirnov is a “known Israeli intelligence agent.”
Apart from its sheer nuttiness, the Hunter-Candace entente illustrates how fundamental anti-Semitism has become to the Left. Hating Israel is probably the single most popular position in today’s Democratic Party. And, sadly, there are a few former conservatives who are willing to indulge the Left’s anti-Semitism.
