President Trump vowed Sunday Iran will never have a nuclear weapon — after top GOP Senators openly voiced skepticism over the reported details of the delicate peace deal.
Trump, who previously said on Saturday that his negotiators were “finalizing” the agreement, suggested in a post on Truth Social Sunday morning that he would wait until the right agreement could be struck.
“I have informed my representatives not to rush into a deal in that time is on our side. The Blockade will remain in full force and effect until an agreement is reached, certified, and signed,” he said. “Both sides must take their time and get it right. There can be no mistakes!”
Prominent Republican foreign policy luminaries panned the purported deal for not adequately addressing concerns about Iran’s enriched uranium stockpile and placing too much trust in the Islamic Republic.
“The rumored 60-day ceasefire — with the belief that Iran will ever engage in good faith — would be a disaster. Everything accomplished by Operation Epic Fury would be for naught!” Sen. Roger Wicker (R-Miss.), Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, bemoaned. At the moment, the deal would entail a memorandum of understanding between the sides of the conflict that would last 60 days, Axios reported.
During that time, Iran would clean up the mines in the Strait of Hormuz to unlock that critical oil chokepoint, while the US would wind down its blockade of Iranian ports and ease sanctions on Iranian oil, per the report.***

There wasn’t going to be any bombing during The Hajj this week. The Saudis basically told Trump that would be a bad idea.
We’ll see what happens after The Hajj ends.
Trump needs to stop listening to the Saudis. What happened to bombing Iran back to the stone age?
Maybe Obama gave them a few
As the middleman between Pakistan and Iran.
He needed to stop listening to the Pahlavi fanbois who convinced him that he was popular in Iran.
Man oh man, what the hell is going on here? Making a “deal” with these lunatics is completely worthless, it’s like making a deal with the sky that it won’t rain, so what game is Trump playing here? He has to know 100% regime change is the only option because we know if God forbid another Obama or Biden takes the WH, they are going to be financed again and be right back to building nukes. Why aren’t the Iranian citizens being armed?
Any deal that leaves the current regime in charge is nothing more than a “SURRENCER”!
Why negotiate with terrorists?
Trump will make the right choice...
Any “deal” that leaves the mullah regime in power and does not result in the prompt, undeniable delivery of the enriched uranium into US control will be a farce, a win for Iran, and a political disaster for Trump and the American people. The demonic Democrats will ride the backlash to power and resume their destruction of the American nation.
Come on all you hand wringers on here, all these Senators, Pompeo etc are responding to information put out by Axios. Why would Axios be read in on any of the negotiations — it is antiTrump, and anti American. So wait and see what is really negotiated before you get your panties in a wad.
Until the Demon-rats rein again.
The deal gave Trump the thing he wanted most—to be
hailed as the man who triumphed over big, bad Iran.
The deal is Iran would free up and clean up the mines in the Strait of
Hormuz, while the US would wind down its blockade of Iranian ports.
While Trump’s 2026 blockade is considered a “tactical success” in cutting off oil tanker traffic,
it is considered by the cognoscenti as no more than a “strategic work-in-progress,” operating as a “bottleneck” rather than an impenetrable barrier.
The biggest clue is Trump’s acknowledging every major Mideast player in his announcement——knowing full well Iran has the ability to throw the global Mideast oil business into utter chaos.......
if Mr Trump didn’t play ball.
