One of President Donald Trump’s former Border Patrol goons has been on a tirade against his administration, claiming officials are retreating from the mass deportation crackdown that was initially promised. Greg Bovino retired as Border Patrol “commander-at-large” earlier this year amid backlash for his leadership in Minnesota, where two protesters were shot dead by federal agents.

The federal judge in the Luigi Mangione murder trial ruled Monday that a gun and notebook allegedly linking him to the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson can be shown to the jury. The ruling is a blow to the defense, who argued the items were seized illegally because police had not obtained the required search warrant. CNN’s Kara Scannell reported from the New York City courthouse: “This was a key ruling in this case. And it came after the suppression hearings occurred in December,” Scannell said, continuing: The judge saying that the search of Mangione’s backpack at the McDonald’s...

WASHINGTON — Former FBI Director James Comey taunted Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche to “bone up on the rules” as he stares down the second indictment against him and once again stood by his decision to reopen the Hillary Clinton email probe in late 2016. Comey, who was indicted late last month for allegedly threatening to kill President Trump in a May 2025 Instagram post calling for “86 47,” chided Blanche for telling the public the case is about more than that social media post. “I don’t talk about the case because the federal court rules require you not,” Comey...

Russia has unleashed rare attacks on international civilian shipping approaching Ukrainian ports in the Black Sea on Monday, hitting at least two vessels in the Odesa region, including a cargo ship owned by a Chinese company and crewed by Chinese nationals, Ukrainian authorities said. Ukraine’s navy said one strike hit the KSL Deyang, a Chinese-owned cargo ship with a Chinese crew sailing under a Marshall Islands flag, as it approached ports in the region and posted images showing scorch damage to the ship’s hull. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on X that a Russian drone had struck a vessel owned by...

Fox Business anchor Maria Bartiromo agreed with analyst Ryan Payne’s take that the Federal Reserve may now have to raise interest rates to combat persistent inflation in a striking assessment given President Donald Trump’s public months-long campaign to pressure the central bank to cut rates. Bartiromo had just rolled back a clip from her interview with investor Jeffrey Gundlach on Sunday Morning Futures in which she floated whether newly-appointed Federal Reserve chair Kevin Warsh might raise interest rates, to which he replied that a “hike” was an “odds on bet.” Trump had berated and attacked Warsh’s predecessor Jerome Powell for...

Last week, in the wake of the Democrats losing the redistricting battles, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries said, “We will beat the far-right extremists. We’re going to win in November, and then we’re going to crush their souls as it relates to the extremism that they are trying to unleash on the American people.” To Politico, this is a sign that Democrats had “ditched the niceties,” calling it “a marked reversal from years of high-minded Democratic rhetoric.” MS NOW reports that “Democrats say they are done playing defense.” “Niceties”? “High-minded rhetoric”? “Playing defense”? When have Democrats ever been like that?...

Apparently, there are a lot of Biblical things happening these days, according to people knowledgeable about the topic. One of those things has to do with the declining water levels of the Euphrates River. According to a biblical prophecy being discussed by some Christian groups, the apocalypse will occur if the Euphrates River, which flows through Turkey, Syria, and Iraq, dries up. The Book of Revelation mentions the river drying up before significant end-time events. The Euphrates also appears in the Book of Genesis and the Book of Jeremiah. Unfortunately, the longest river in Western Asia is shrinking fast, according...

In February, Katy Talento — a “recovering epidemiologist” who served as a White House health policy advisor from 2017 to 2019 — wrote a remarkable Substack attacking American hospitals. Talento drew on her personal experiences seeing family members suffer to illustrate her broader concerns. The headline gives a subtle hint where she stands: Hospitals are Soviet-style Hellscapes Unfit for Humans Despite her anger, Talento is no fool. The reality of her views is more nuanced. As she explains near the end of the piece: When you have a bullet in your belly, a third-degree burn… [or] a heart attack, an...

The Republican National Committee is escalating its election integrity war ahead of the 2026 midterms. RNC Chairman Joe Gruters announced that Republicans have already launched 130 lawsuits across 32 states aimed at blocking Democrat efforts to “cheat every single day” in U.S. elections. The announcement comes as President Donald Trump recently vowed to unleash a much larger “Election Integrity Army” than the one Republicans used in 2024, signaling that the GOP is preparing for an all-out legal and ground-game fight over ballot security, vote counting, and election procedures in battleground states. Gruters laid it all out in no uncertain terms,...

...The Associated Press published a story ahead of the weekend with the headline: “Trump Administration to participate in controversial prayer gathering on National Mall.” What’s controversial about eight hours of prayer? According to critics, the gathering is “an attempt to ‘hijack’ U.S. history by advancing a Christian nationalist narrative … potentially undermining the constitutional separation of church and state.” Praying for the nation and rededicating it to God is now considered Christian nationalism?.....
