WASHINGTON — President Trump’s White House counterterrorism director Sebastian Gorka told The Post that he believes China intentionally flooded the United States with fentanyl in a present-day “Opium War” designed to weaken America through the “targeted killing” of its citizens.
Gorka unloaded the blistering assessment Monday in a “Pod Force One” interview with The Post’s Miranda Devine — before Trump departed Tuesday afternoon for a state visit to Beijing that is expected to focus on trade relations.
“They see our city on a hill as the newest version of the British Empire, and it is now payback time for the Opium Wars. Many have said that, and I think there is something to that,” Gorka said.
“This is about how do you take down a Goliath? What is the slingshot? Some people say fentanyl is the slingshot.”

I have been enunciating the opium war theory for years. Glad to see it has traction in the administration. But will China force its factory owners stop selling chemicals to the Mexican cartels?
Not really a theory CCP hacks and military have said as much at party congresses for years.

I’ve always felt that, going back for years,we should have never started trading with China. Just can’t trust them. The reason? You can’t do honest business with Communists.

It’s hard for a government that represents money only. Not hard for a government that is properly subordinate to its country, embraces protectionism, and holds stateless internationalists with souls of ice at arm’s length where they belong.
I know this and I am sorry I was not more clear. I was referring to Gorsuch and others talking about it on the news shows. Beijing watches them too. Like I said, “telling him without telling him”.
