MORE than 200 migrants arrived in small boats yesterday during the third day in a row of Channel crossings. It comes despite Labour’s vow to smash the gangs behind the surge in numbers making the perilous journey. At the weekend, 455 people were picked up by Border Force and brought to Dover — taking the total for the year to 658 before yesterday. At least 41,472 migrants arrived in 2025 via the Channel — the second highest annual figure yet. Since Sir Keir Starmer was elected in 2024, at least 65,500 migrants have made the crossing to the UK from...

He’s making America safe again. President Trump lauded the work of his “patriot” ICE agents as he flashed mugshots of some of the most heinous illegal immigrant criminals the administration has rounded up in Minnesota for deportation — the “worst of the worst” among the thousands arrested in the last year. “These are all from one state — out of many,” Trump marveled at a White House press briefing marking the first full year of his second term in the White House. “Many of them murderers … do you want to live with these people?” the president asked as he...

Michele Tafoya, a longtime sportscaster and conservative commentator, filed papers Tuesday to run for US Senate in Minnesota, giving the Republican Party a well-known candidate in a state that’s being roiled by the ongoing federal immigration crackdown. Tafoya filed paperwork with the Federal Election Commission. Chris Marston, a Republican lawyer listed as her campaign treasurer, confirmed that Tafoya would formally launch her bid Wednesday morning. The broadcaster’s impending entry jolts an already dynamic contest set off by Democratic Sen. Tina Smith’s retirement announcement last year. Meanwhile, Sen. The overwhelming majority of households headed by Afghan immigrants with children in the home are on one or more forms of taxpayer-funded welfare in the United States, newly released analysis reveals. The analysis, published by Jason Richwine at the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS), reviews Census Bureau data on Afghan immigrants in the U.S. — an immigrant group that has exploded from just 22,000 in 1990 to almost a quarter of a million as of 2024.Most significantly, the Census data shows that almost all Afghan households with children are on publicly funded welfare — similar to that of Somali immigrant...

It appears as if the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Google is currently using in its searches has failed to recognize that the 2026 State of the Union address will be delivered by President Donald Trump, and not former President Joe Biden. Yes, Google has a little bit of a problem with its "2026 State of the Union" search result. Earlier today, I was planning my travel schedule for 2026 and decided to Google search "2026 State of the Union Address" to find out when the annual presidential address to a joint session of Congress would take place. Democrats are growing increasingly irritated with former Vice President Kamala Harris’ retreat from public life — as she holes up in an $8 million oceanfront Malibu mansion with a taxpayer-funded security detail. Harris — who had vowed that she would not “go quietly into the night” — following her embarrassing 2024 election loss to President Trump has since adopted a withdrawn lifestyle, keeping mostly out of the public eye. “She’s not someone who likes being out and about. She doesn’t really want to engage with people in a way that isn’t already orchestrated,” a Democratic consultant in her circle told...

European leaders are said to vent privately in a secret text group chat whenever Donald Trump makes a 'wild' move, according to a new report. The informal messaging group, known as the 'Washington Group', brings together senior European figures who have grown accustomed to coordinating without Washington during Trump's second term, particularly on Ukraine. It includes leaders from both EU and non-EU countries, reflecting a broader 'coalition of the willing' that has continued to operate even as relations with the White House have grown more volatile. Figures said to be regularly exchanging messages include UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French...

I might not have seen a movie flop as hard as the Bruce Springsteen biopic, so forgettable that I can’t even remember the title. Born in the USA, no. That’s not it. The Promised Land? Nope. Ah, now I remember. How could I forget? They changed the title from Deliver Me From Nowhere to Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere. And we had to always write it that way, every single time. They hoped name recognition would boost ticket sales. They were wrong. With a budget of $55 million, it was one of last year’s unequivocal flops. It couldn’t even break...

The US president suggested on Tuesday night that Sir Keir and France’s Emmanuel Macron were two-faced. Mr Trump said: “[They] treat me well. They get a little bit rough when … I’m not around, but when I’m around, they treat me very nicely.” Mr Trump said he would snub an emergency meeting of the G7 that Mr Macron had proposed could take place in Paris.
