Two sisters who were caught on video destroying a memorial to assassinated conservative activist Charlie Kirk in Arkansas have resorted to begging for money online after losing their jobs. Kerri and Kaylee Rollo, 23 and 22, were arrested in Bentonville and charged with criminal mischief shortly after footage went viral on social media. Police said Kaylee faces an additional charge of obstruction of governmental operations. In the video, Kerri was heard saying Mr Kirk "lived as he died - promoting violence", as she tore up messages of support and stomped on candles. The 23-year-old was also heard saying "record all...

Several columns ago, I used the phrase, “Thunder without sound,” when writing about our First Lady, Melania Trump. After my wife, two good friends, and I toured Auschwitz, I hope you’ll allow me to reuse that phrase, albeit slightly changed. Auschwitz doesn’t whisper, shout, or mumble; it’s a quiet explosion rocking the foundation of my soul. I walked through our tour with an open mind, allowing it to flow rudderlessly to shape an outline for me to express in a way I hope makes sense. However, to properly share my thoughts, I’ll need to break this down into a few...

And that is, you understand that it was never my intention to make light of the murder of a young man. ... Nor was it my intention to blame any specific group ... And for those who think I did point a finger, I get why you're upset.

NBC News published an article on Tuesday accusing ICE agents of holding a five-year-old autistic girl "to pressure her father to surrender to authorities." Turns out the father actually abandoned his daughter while fleeing authorities and giving agents the middle finger. "ICE held 5-year-old autistic girl in Massachusetts to pressure father to surrender, family says," the article's headline read. Less than nine hours later, NBC News deleted its tweet promoting the story and updated the article to state that ICE agents were simply "with" the girl as they attempted to arrest her father. It also issued a correction that said...

If you have to resort to violence, you’ve lost the debate. The assassination of Charlie Kirk two weeks ago was a case in point. They couldn’t defeat him at debate, so they killed him. Charlie’s slogan, as seen on the white tent he was in when he was shot, says it all, “Prove me wrong.” Anybody who may claim he was “proved wrong” by being shot subscribes to the view that might makes right. I once read about an English tourist visiting China about a 100 years ago recounts how two laborers were having a heated argument in the street....

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in an interview published on Thursday that he would be ready to step down after the war with Russia is over. “If we finish the war with the Russians, yes, I am ready not to go [for elections] because it’s not my goal, elections,” Zelensky told the Axios website in a video interview. “I wanted very much, in a very difficult period of time, to be with my country, help my country. My goal is to finish the war.” Zelensky said he would ask Ukraine’s parliament to organise elections if a ceasefire was reached. A...

As expected, President Donald Trump’s rebuke of the climate change hysteria in front of the pious apparatchiks at the United Nations sent the media into a tailspin, with The New York Times leading the pack. Times climate reporters Somini Sengupta and Lisa Friedman snorted at Trump following his September 23 speech at the U.N. for alleging that the so-called “scientific consensus on global warming was created by ‘stupid people’” and having “lashed out at wind turbines, environmentalists and allies around the world while dismissing the dangers of climate change.” Sengupta and Friedman railed that Trump’s remarks were “an extraordinary diatribe...

Just a heads up Freepers I heard X money is coming to the X platform soon backed by VISA and licensed in nearly every U.S. state it will allow for instant money transfers from debit or credit cards and such. It could be a big deal and it's not easy to do this. I dont know how Elon Musk plans to integrate it but I'm sure he has plans. Maybe FR will take it? It sounds to me like it will be similar to PayPal. Musk was one of the original founders/backers of PayPal...

Hundreds of federal employees who were laid off following Elon Musk's cost-cutting measures through DOGE are being asked to go back to work. The employees were given until the end of the week to accept or decline reinstatement by the General Services Administration, which manages government workspaces. Anyone who accepts must report for work on Oct. 6 after what is being described as a seven-month paid vacation, during which the GSA has racked up high costs to stay in properties whose leases were slated for termination or were allowed to expire, reported The Associated Press. "Ultimately, the outcome was the...

Darren Bailey is set to announce shortly that he will run for Illinois governor once again. He was the Republican nominee for that position four years ago but lost in the general election to JB Pritzker. Bailey – and this is important to remember -- was Pritzker’s pick as the Republican who would be easiest to beat in the 2022 general election. So Pritzker pushed about $26 to $36 million into the Republican primary to help Bailey. The election meddling worked beautifully for Pritzker. Bailey won the Republican nomination and Pritzker went on to beat him handily in the general...

“The Far Left that has been ushered into office under Toni Preckwinkle’s leadership has been conducting lots of social experiments that… are very expensive. They’re hard for us to afford, and we’re not even sure if there’s any kind of return on investment.” The most glaring example Reilly cited was Preckwinkle’s decision to back her former chief of staff Kim Foxx as state’s attorney and help Foxx win a second term. “We saw public safety crumble across Cook County on Kim Foxx’s watch. Kim was there to implement Toni’s policies which were, frankly, charge fewer people with crimes and let’s...

Top Kremlin official Dmitry Medvedev issued a fiery nuclear warning to the U.S. after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said officials in Moscow should learn where their nearest bomb shelter is if they don't end Russia's war. Zelensky, in an interview with Axios, said U.S. President Donald Trump had given his explicit backing to Ukrainian strikes on Russian targets such as energy infrastructure and arms factories, and that if Kyiv receives more long-range American weaponry, then "we will use it". "The Kiev drug addict said the Kremlin should know where a bomb shelter is so its occupants can hide when he...

It's a beautiful Sunday afternoon in Houston and you're at your kid's baseball game. The coach is leading the players in prayer before the first inning. Then you hear the shots. Houston Warriors founder Andy Baize said the injured coach was saying a pregame prayer with their team. 'He literally took the bullet for a child that was to his left, and so thankfully we avoided a major disaster. Still very, very emotional over it,' Baize told KHOU 11. The three suspects, Mahmood Abdelsalam Rababah, Ahmad Mawed, and Mustafa Mohammad Matalgah did not appear to be targeting the game. They...

On Wednesday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Katy Tur Reports,” MSNBC Security and Intelligence Analyst Christopher O’Leary discussed the shooting at an ICE facility in Texas and said that while people should tone down their rhetoric, “you also have to start looking at what policies you’ve implemented and what tactics you’re using, because, if you tone down the rhetoric, but you leave those other pieces in place, nothing’s going to change.”

Mr Poland said he thought he heard four or five loud bangs after dropping off Axel Rudakubana, 18, who admitted murder at a trial earlier this year, and assumed he had a gun and was shooting at people. In a statement to police around six hours after the attack, Mr Poland described an 'orchestra of blood curdling screams' coming from the dance studio and the girls who fled as running 'like a stampede for their lives.' After driving away from the scene, Mr Poland called his 'best mate', who told the taxi driver: 'There must be about 15 kids stabbed…...

Researchers have identified a new “backup heater” in brown fat that burns energy in unexpected ways, pointing toward promising strategies for weight control and metabolic health. Credit: Stock Scientists discover alternative cellular process for producing heat that may enhance metabolic health. Researchers at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis have uncovered a previously unknown mechanism by which brown fat — the type of fat that burns energy — can drive the body’s metabolism. In mouse studies, they found that brown fat can use cellular fuel to generate heat in a way that enhances metabolic health. These results point...
