Mr Poland said he thought he heard four or five loud bangs after dropping off Axel Rudakubana, 18, who admitted murder at a trial earlier this year, and assumed he had a gun and was shooting at people.
In a statement to police around six hours after the attack, Mr Poland described an 'orchestra of blood curdling screams' coming from the dance studio and the girls who fled as running 'like a stampede for their lives.'
After driving away from the scene, Mr Poland called his 'best mate', who told the taxi driver: 'There must be about 15 kids stabbed… one's (sic) body dead on the floor.'
'You're joking. F****** hell, of all the people I pick up,' Mr Poland replied, adding it was 'lucky didn't f****** shoot me, weren't it?'

He seen and heard the screams of little girls being murdered and mutilated.... so he drove away called his friend for a chat, picked up another fare... went home to chat to his wife... then, almost an hour later, phoned the police.

Taxi driver is a coward and a low-life. That said, how would you defend anybody in jolly ole England? Nobody but the African feral had a gun within probably 10 miles.
He did not have a gun only knives. The taxi driver seems to have assumed he had a gun.

Still how would somebody have stopped him when nobody is armed and more or less can’t even carry pocket-knives. Plus, IMO they have lost their willingness to be physical when needed (outside of the few in the military and special services).

This sentence is poorly written it makes it seem killing and wounding people is not a reason to shoot, but you can “justifiably” shoot him when he says I have a bomb? Odd.

Acting in self defense in Britain is likely to get you charged with a crime if the aholes think your defense act was inappropriate. Men have gone to prison in Britain for defending women who were being actively raped.
