“‘“And forgive us our debts”’” (Matthew 6:12). Sin dominates the hearts and minds of lost men and women, separates them from God, and is therefore their greatest enemy and problem. It is the common denominator for every crime, immorality, pain, and sorrow—and there is no natural cure: “Can the Ethiopian change his skin or the leopard his spots? Then you also can do good who are accustomed to doing evil” (Jer. 13:23). The natural individual does not even want his or her sin cured (John 3:19). If sin is our greatest problem, our greatest need is the forgiveness God provides....

The Transportation Security Administration has issued a major warning for all travelers that they may be in danger of being tricked by USB malware. In a recent post on social media, the agency warned that travelers may find their devices hacked by scammers who install malware in the USB port in the airports. "In this technology age, cybersecurity has never been more important," the Facebook post read. "You’ve likely heard about things like email scams and social media scams (tip: don’t accept that friend request from your buddy’s 'new' profile), but today we want to share our two best tips...

--SNIP-- The benefits of creatine supplementation were first discovered in the 1970s by the late Roger Harris, a professor from Aberystwyth University in Wales. Creatine has since become well established in the sporting world, with a wealth of research behind it linking it to improvements in our physical function. But over the last two decades, studies have been starting to reveal other potential health benefits of creatine supplements. One of the biggest areas of research is cognitive function, given that creatine plays a role in neogenesis – the formation of new neurons in the brain.

Germany's chancellor said Monday that his government will lift all range restrictions on weapons it sends to Ukraine, meaning that all of Kyiv's major western allies have now relaxed red lines on the use of their weapons inside Russia to fight Moscow's offensive. The decision from Chancellor Friedrich Merz comes as Europe seeks to bolster Kyiv’s war efforts amid uncertainty over U.S. security guarantees even as President Donald Trump appears to be losing patience with Russian President Vladimir Putin, for stalling peace talks and his bombardment of Ukraine's cities. “There are no longer any range restrictions on weapons delivered to...

A renowned Harvard University professor was stripped of her tenure and fired after an investigation found she allegedly manipulated data to support multiple studies she conducted. Francesca Gino, a celebrated behavioral scientist at Harvard Business School whose work has focused on dishonesty, was let go after the school’s top governing board determined she tweaked observations in four studies so that their findings boosted her hypotheses, GHB reported. Harvard administrators notified business faculty that Gino was out of a job in a closed-door meeting this past week, the outlet reported. Harvard did not detail the professor’s firing or tenure being stripped...

Anyone else concerned by them? In Germany they've been happening frequently now it happened in the UK. How do you stop these attacks? Are we going to have to put up bollards or something in major cities and on roads or certain areas/routes. I know for example the UK Parliament in London has a lot of bollards around it to stop such ramming but that's the only place I know of specifically protected.

In the swish hotel conference rooms and cafés of the Brussels EU quarter, the indignation was palpable: Why had poor Henrik been singled out? Henrik Hololei, a gregarious Estonian who had reached the heights of director-general in the EU’s civil service, had been caught accepting freebies from the government of Qatar while his department was negotiating a lucrative aviation deal ― with, ever so coincidentally, Qatar. It was fine, the European Commission said when the matter came to light in 2023: All his free flights had been signed off by a senior person in the department. Trouble was, the senior...

    6. Many of the Hessians opted to stay in AmericaOpportunities in America impressed these soldiers so much that thousands of them opted not to return to their native country. Johann Döhla, an enlisted man who kept a journal about his experiences, wrote upon seeing New York for the first time that, "The American land is good and incomparable land... It is rich and fruitful, well cultivated, and with much grain, especially a great deal of Indian corn; and it has many and beautiful forests of both soft and hardwood trees unknown to us." He went on to write about the...

In what can be called a victory speech over failed neoconservative foreign policy, President Donald Trump proclaimed the end of 30-some years of existing foreign policy in the Mideast. The ideology dragged the U.S. through pointless wars from Libya to Yemen is now dead. At an investment conference in Riyadh, in a speech little-commented on by the mainstream media, Trump said, “In the end, the so-called nation builders wrecked far more nations than they built. And the interventionalists [sic] were intervening in complex societies that they did not even understand.” For the first time since the First Gulf War in...

Ukrainian intelligence and open-source data show Russian President Vladimir Putin does not "plan to end the war," Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in his daily evening address Monday. "There is currently no indication that they are seriously considering peace or diplomacy," he added. "On the contrary, there is ample evidence that they are preparing new offensive operations." The address came after an overnight exchange of long-range cross-border drone attacks between Russia and Ukraine. Ukraine's air force said Russia launched a total of 364 "air attack vehicles" -- nine cruise missiles and 355 attack drones -- in the latest bombardment. All...

U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to declare a ceasefire in Gaza within the coming days, according to a Sky News Arabic report on Monday morning. The report cited anonymous sources familiar with United States-led negotiations, which are reportedly being led by Palestinian-American mediator, Bashara Bahbah. The Hezbollah-affiliated Lebanese news channel Al-Mayadeen reported that both Israel and Hamas are currently evaluating the proposal, which it said was developed “in cooperation with and with the approval of” Steve Witkoff, Trump’s special envoy to the Middle East. On Sunday, Trump told reporters that he wanted to try to end the war. “We...
