TOM HOMAN: Look, if I offend anybody today, I don't care. Some in the media say I'm offensive. I'm okay with that because I get to their minds rent-free. That's kind of cool. For the last three and a half years, I wake up every morning pissed off about what this administration did to the most secure border in my lifetime. I worked for six presidents starting with Ronald Reagan, and every president I worked for took steps to secure the border because they understood you can't have strong national security if you don't have border security. We need to...

A federal judge ruled on Monday that sections of an Arkansas law, which sought to impose criminal penalties on librarians and booksellers for distributing “harmful” material to children, were unconstitutional. The law, known as the Arkansas Act 372, was signed into law last year by Republican governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders. It was challenged by a coalition of organizations in the state, leading to a lengthy legal battle that concluded this week. Two sections of Act 372 subjected librarians and booksellers to jail time for distributing material that is deemed “harmful to children”. Proponents of the law, including Sanders, said the...

President-elect Donald Trump has reportedly been hearing from several House Republicans about their concerns regarding House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA). Sources on Capitol Hill and people around Trump told the Hill the group was voicing their worries prior to the recent government funding debacle, the outlet reported on Tuesday. The Republicans apparently talked with Trump weeks before the “shutdown showdown” and shared their worries about how Johnson has handled different issues, per the Hill. The outlet noted that most of the sources spoke on the condition of anonymity and did not share any of the Republicans’ names.

While the mighty Anan 7 is comprehensively beguiling Diplomat Fox with almost disdainful ease, Mr. Scott is not buyin' it. When the utterly hoodwinked Fox gives his extremely dubious order (which would have meant the summary destruction of The Enterprise, including all crew), Mr. Scott yields not an inch.

Here are some of my favorite Christmas short films and TV episodes that I've seen over the years.1. The 1971 TV animated version of A Christmas Carol.2. Mr. Krueger's Christmas, a 1980 TV special starring Jimmy Stewart. Yes, it's produced by the Mormon Church, but it's very good.3. Dark Shadows fans will enjoy this 2021 Zoom production of A Christmas Carol, starring surviviing members of the cast of TV's Dark Shadows.4. Fans of the old Catholic TV show Insight might enjoy Christmas 2025.

For Unto You Is Born This Day... A Savior...Christ The LordMerry CHRISTmas, Troops!! LUKE 2:1-20 King James Version (KJV) 1..And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed. 2..(And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) 3..And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. 4..And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of...

The groups that brought the lawsuit, which includes the Bank Policy Institute (BPI), said they do not oppose stress tests, but said the current framework “produces vacillating and unexplained requirements and restrictions on bank capital." Agroup of banks and business organizations on Tuesday sued the Federal Reserve over the framework of its annual bank stress tests. The lawsuit, filed in an Ohio court, comes one day after the Fed said it plans to make "significant changes" to the stress tests that provide more transparency, citing an "evolving legal landscape," as demonstrated by recent changes in administrative laws. The stress tests...

Every time you reach for a coke, you could be losing 12 minutes of your life, scientists have claimed. The worrying statistics were found in a study conducted by the University of Michigan which delved into just how much time certain processed foods take from your life. Ultra-processed foods – which contain ingredients such as artificial colours and flavours, preservatives and emulsifiers – can be dangerous if not eaten in moderation. And some favourites could end up costing you minutes of your life. A hot dog could shave off 36 minutes – and if you drink it with a coke,...

HAPPY CHRISTMAS! In these next few days billions of us around the world celebrate the birth of a Middle Eastern refugee who, 2,000 years ago, changed the course of the world forever. Let me tell you some of his story. This is just a short extract from near the beginning of the adventure. When Maryam, a young, poor, and no doubt terrified Palestinian girl, gives birth in a run-down animal pen, to a baby who was foretold for hundreds of years. To many of us, it is undoubtedly: The Greatest Story Ever Told. Watch the full video here: https://bit.ly/BearGryllsGreatestStory For...

Data from the Department of Justice (DOJ) reportedly suggests that crimes committed by illegal immigrants cost U.S. taxpayers at least $166.5 billion and the severity of those crimes greatly exceeds that of typical American norms. The report was written by Dr. John R. Lott of the Crime Prevention Research Center and is based on data from the U.S. Department of Justice's National Institute of Justice (NIJ). In September, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) revealed in a letter to U.S. Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-TX) that as of July 21, 2024, there are 662,566 illegal immigrants with criminal histories on the...

On December 12, 2024, USA Today published a hit piece on “ghost guns” attempting to use the assassination of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson as a reason to impose unconstitutional restrictions on homemade firearms. It appears Brian Thompson was assassinated with a homemade firearm. However, the manufacture of the firearm did not interfere with the investigation of his murder. The suspect was arrested without any assistance from gun tracing data, as is the case with virtually all violent crimes. Gun tracing has no measurable effect on solving violent crimes. It is difficult to find any violent crime that was solved with...

While 99% of the media keeps staring at official data by the Chinese central bank (PBoC)—misleadingly stating it added 5 tonnes of gold in November following a supposed six-month pause—the PBoC’s "unreported" purchases in London accounted for a stunning 60 tonnes in September and another 55 tonnes in October. And while cross-border trade statistics from the U.K. for November have yet to be released, I foresee another purchase of a similar magnitude. Chinese authorities see a greater role for gold in the future international monetary system, or they wouldn’t continue buying such extraordinary amounts of gold. Via London alone, the...

President-elect Donald Trump said Tuesday he would direct the Department of Justice to pursue the death penalty on the heels of President Biden commuting the sentence of roughly all inmates on federal death row to life without parole. “As soon as I am inaugurated, I will direct the Justice Department to vigorously pursue the death penalty to protect American families and children from violent rapists, murderers, and monsters,” he wrote on Truth Social on Tuesday. “We will be a Nation of Law and order again!”Mr. Biden announced Monday he’s stopping the execution of 37 men — all of whom were...

Just wondering if any of my fellow FR friends are, like me, enjoying a solo Christmas Eve. I have all the presents wrapped, Christmas music in the background and will spend the evening with my faithful greyhound, Ralphie Parker and then George Bailey -- the same routine every year. Any of you folks solo this evening?
