During the Overtime segment of Friday’s “Real Time,” host Bill Maher said Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s (R) program busing migrants to New York City, Washington, D.C., and Chicago has called the bluff of liberals in those cities and exposed the “hypocrisy” of people on the left saying, “let’s have open borders or close to it,” “but not in my backyard.” Maher said, “It is an interesting question for liberals to be like, hey, let’s have open borders or close to it, and then when they come, but it’s not in our states. And the Texas Governor kind of called their...

Moscow abandoned its main bastion in northeastern Ukraine on Saturday, a sudden apparent collapse of one of the war's principal front lines after Ukrainian forces moved to encircle the area in a shock advance. The state-run TASS news agency quoted Russia's defence ministry as saying it had ordered troops to leave the area around the city of Izium in Kharkiv province, saying they would be sent to reinforce operations elsewhere in neighbouring Donetsk. The announcement came hours after Ukrainian troops captured the city of Kupiansk further north, the sole railway hub supplying Russia's entire frontline across northeastern Ukraine. That left...

Then I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands, and in the midst of the seven lampstands One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band. His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire; His feet were like fine brass, as if refined in a furnace, and His voice as the sound of many waters; He had in His right hand seven stars, out...

At the turn of the first millenium, one of the last Anglo-Saxon kings, Æthelred of the House of Wessex, reigned over England. He came to the throne as a smooth-cheeked boy. By all accounts a man of pleasing aspect and courteous disposition, he might otherwise have made a fine king, and indeed he showed promise of living up to the meaning of his name, ‘noble counsel’, when he introduced the custom of jury trial by decreeing that matters of guilt or innocence should be decided by conveying [...]12 thanes rather than relying on the decision of a single judge. However,...

The highly-anticipated debate between State House candidate Bonnie Jackson (R) and State Rep. Anna Eskamani (D) at the WESH-2 studios in Orlando was canceled after the TV station refused Jackson entry for not providing COVID-19 vaccination information. The move by WESH-2 to refuse Jackson entry because of her vaccination status is in direct violation of Governor Ron DeSantis’s Executive Order Number 21-81 which clearly states that “individual COVID-19 vaccination records are private health information which should not be shared by mandate.” Officials at WESH-2 station, whose parent company is based in New York State, told Jackson that it was their...

Deep in the bowels of Silicon Valley, California, a secret project is underway. But this is no ordinary endeavor. It wasn't a bunch of rich old men LARPING about as cloak-hooded members of a secret Owl society, chanting so-called forbidden spells and mastering secret handshakes. No, these were serious men with serious intentions who put their money where their mouths were. They began funding serious scientific efforts to unlock the secrets of immortality through both the human genome project as well as using increasingly advanced computer technology to do it. Who they are and what are they doing? Well, you'd...

Decision comes a week after New York and California asked American Express, Mastercard and Visa to support a merchant category code. The international organization responsible for creating merchant category codes for credit card purchases has given its approval to establish one for transactions made at gun stores. The International Organization for Standardization’s Registration and Maintenance Management Group met on Wednesday to discuss a request made by Amalgamated Bank to set up such a code. An ISO spokesperson told The Center Square that RMMG members could not decide whether to approve the application. That elevated the discussion to the ISO leadership...

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot (D) called Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) "immoral and unpatriotic for busing away immigrants released into Texas by federal immigration authorities. His behavior defies the values of who we are as Americans. It's inhumane. If the President wanted these immigrants to come to my city he would have had them flown here rather than making them take a two-day bus ride." Abbott said "we didn't force any of the immigrants to board these buses. When they heard that Chicago was a sanctuary city they were eager to go there. Isn't a sanctuary defined as a place...

Iranian embassy staff in the Albanian capital worked through the night after they were given 24 hours to leave the country over a major cyberattack that the Albanian government blames on Iran. It is the first known case of a country cutting diplomatic relations over a cyberattack. Movement inside the Iranian embassy in Tirana continued nonstop from Wednesday into Thursday. An empty barrel was seen taken into the compound and later a fire was started in it, apparently burning documents. A diplomatic car went in and out, while an Albanian police officer communicated with the embassy before two officers entered...

Ukrainian forces said Saturday they had entered Kupiansk in eastern Ukraine dislodging Russian troops from a key logistics hub in a lightning counter-offensive that has seen swathes of territory recaptured. The German foreign minister, Annalena Baerbock, meanwhile arrived in the Ukrainian capital for a surprise visit, which she said was to demonstrate Berlin's support for Ukraine in its battle against Russia. Ukrainian special forces published images on social media showing camouflage-clad officers with automatic weapons "in Kupiansk." It "was and will always be Ukrainian," their statement said. The town of some 27,000 people, that sits on a crucial supply route...
