The highly-anticipated debate between State House candidate Bonnie Jackson (R) and State Rep. Anna Eskamani (D) at the WESH-2 studios in Orlando was canceled after the TV station refused Jackson entry for not providing COVID-19 vaccination information.
The move by WESH-2 to refuse Jackson entry because of her vaccination status is in direct violation of Governor Ron DeSantis’s Executive Order Number 21-81 which clearly states that “individual COVID-19 vaccination records are private health information which should not be shared by mandate.”
Officials at WESH-2 station, whose parent company is based in New York State, told Jackson that it was their policy that individuals entering their facility needed to show proof of vaccination.
“Everyone vaccinated,” was asked of Jackson by one of the station’s producers.
Jackson responded,” Yeah, I’m not answering that question.”
The producer responded, saying,” Unfortunately, we cannot have you in the building if you are not vaccinated” because it was their “corporate policy” and that they had to “follow the rules.”
Jackson pointed out that the station’s “corporate policy is a violation of an executive order.”
Jackson was then escorted off of the WESH-2 station premises.
“I was escorted off the premises because I refused to divulge my vaccination status,” said Jackson. “They repeatedly asked me about my vaccination status, we declined to answer because it's nobody’s business.”
Rep. Eskamani did show up to the debate, and quickly announced the cancelation due to Jackson staging “ a fit over the COVID-19 safety visitor policies.”
“That moment when you’re supposed to debate your Republican opponent at a local TV station but instead she stages a fit over their COVID-19 safety visitor policies so the debate gets canceled LOL And she calls me the drama queen,” stated Eskamani.

Do its reporters refuse to ask unvaccinated people questions?
Do station staff members refuse to patronize establishments without mandatory vaccination programs?
And what is the Florida Statute backing DeSantis’ order?
“That moment when a Democrat candidate for a Florida state House seat admits that she believes that her Media allies have authority over the governor of her state LOL."
Sounds to me like a lib tv station is running interference for a dem candidate that never wanted to debate in the first place.
To hell with all of these stupid, ignorant tyrants.

It mentions Article IV, Section 1(a) of the Florida Constitution (not specific to issue) and the Florida Emergency Management Act.
Looks like no one can force her to reveal her status and no one can force the station to let her onto their private property.
Sounds about right.
They should have anticipated that and prepared an alternate debate stage and traveled immediately to it and waited with RSB cameras for Eskamani to show up.
But hindsight it always 20/20, eh.🙂
An executive order by a governor only affects state agencies, not private ones.
So have the owners of the station been dragged out of their homes at 5 am and arrested or doesn’t the Governors have any meaning?
Where is the statute giving this TV station the right to ask about vaccine status?
“untested”
The popular Covid vaccines are among the most commonly utilized medical products in the world.
An American’s chance of dying from a Covid vaccination is roughly about the same as winning a multi-hundred million dollar Powerball (R) payout.
Luckily, they don’t need a statute.
We have a constitution guaranteeing private property rights.
As a private entity, the TV station can do what it wants unless there is valid law to the contrary.
Many private businesses have asked employees about their Covid vaccination status.
And what is the federal Statute backing Biden's mandate? Such a sheep.
Wut???
So... all employers, store customers, gym members, etc. who were fined or arrested for violating certain states' governors' executive orders on COVID-1984 are good to go?
From Governor DeSantis himself; "In Florida, your personal choice regarding vaccinations will be protected and no business [emphasis mine] or government entity will be able to deny you services based on your decision."

Legally, a private entity or person can do what it/he/she wants unless there is valid law to the contrary.
The same general legal principle applied to slave importers in the 1600s.
