The climbers were trying to ascend to the top of the Klyuchevskaya Sopka volcano, when the accident occurred about 500 meters below the 4,750-meter (15,884-foot) summit, the reports cited the prosecutor's office of the Kamchatka region as saying. Erdogan’s comments may have come as a response to a remark from Greek Defense Minister Nikos Panagiotopoulos, who in June claimed that Turkey was "aware" of the "heavy cost" that Turkey faced in military engagements with Athens. Turkey has accused Greece of stationing troops on islands in the Aegean in violation of peace treaties between the NATO neighbors. "Your occupation of the islands does not bind us," Erdogan said. Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu in June indicated that his country would challenge any Greek claims over the islands if they continued stationing troops throughout the region... But Panagiotopolous insisted that...

VIDEOA few days ago I looked outside and spotted these two squirrels, Chip 'n' Dale, on my patio. Yeah, I know they are not chipmunks but what else was I going to call them? One interesting thing that I wasn't able to record is that they finally got used to me enough that in my second attempt to approach them without the window barrier, they allowed me to pick them up but they didn't seem crazy about the idea so I quickly put them back down. Finally they perform a rather surprising encore.

Trump said, “It is quite something to see the consistency with this man unraveling as the pressure builds. It was inevitable because it is not a mistake that the worst things get for him. The worst things are lashing out for him. We are now talk about the fact that this guy is embracing the far-right extremists. He knows that he is losing allies, and so he’s doubling down on the worst...

It’s times like this where you have get creative with your word choices. I can’t simply write that the President of the United States can go (BLANK) himself, as much as I’d like to (and have said it out loud multiple times in my adults only “Week in F****ng Review” podcast) because there are editorial standards that forbid obscenities. I can, however, say that this senile, old, racist, sexist, probable and accused daughter molesting, alleged staffer sexually assaulting, con man who somehow managed to own multiple mansions while earning the salary of a “public servant” can go intercourse himself. I...

Joe Biden has spent much time recently condemning the millions of American voters who support President Trump's Make America Great Again ideas. They're "semi-fascists," Biden claims. They are undermining his plans for America to move to socialism, which undermines "democracy," he claims. And more. But famed Harvard Law School expert, Alan Dershowitz, the Felix Frankfurter Professor of Law Emeritus and a confirmed liberal, is taking Biden to task. "Biden would have been correct had he accused some MAGA supporters of a totalitarian mindset that could lead to tyranny. But he was dead wrong in limiting this mind-set to the hard...

Joe Biden's Mussolini meltdown moment in Philadelphia, which was summed up to voters with the image below, left a lot of people on both sides of the political aisle scratching their heads. After all, as the meme says, "If you're going to dedicate an entire speech to 'my opponents are Nazis' don't specifically go for this visual". Just days earlier, Joe Biden had been denouncing Republicans as "semi-fascists." In the wake of the Philly speech, voters learned that apparently, it was the "semi" part that upset him. Why settle for "semi-fascist" when what he was offering was full-blown fascist? It...

WASHINGTON, Wednesday, Sept. 3 -- Evening. Eleven hundred paroled prisoners, some of whom were taken by the enemy as far back as Thursday, at Manassas, arrived late this evening at Aqueduct Bridge, Georgetown, and report that Gen. LEE has established his headquarters three miles beyond Bull Run, on the Warrenton Turnpike. The only force at Fairfax was STUART'S Cavalry, he being there in person. The rebels assisted the men in the burial of our dead, last night, whom they stripped of their clothing with the exception of their pants. Our men say the enemy at the time were so hungry...

President Biden has spent more time in Pennsylvania during his presidency than any other state besides his home locale of Delaware, and Democratic party operatives and insiders say he’s clung tight to his birth state for good reason. Pennsylvania is home to a critical midterm Senate pickup opportunity for Democrats in the race between Lt. Gov John Fetterman (D) and Republican Mehmet Oz. The state was also pivotal to Biden’s presidential win in 2020, as well as Democratic victories in the 2018 midterms and — importantly — losses in the 2016 election that put former President Trump in the White...

The Republican National Committee (RNC) criticized President Joe Biden’s speech on Thursday after he ignored many midterm issues voters care about most to focus, instead, on slamming Republicans as extremists. With the midterm elections just around the corner, Biden delivered an official speech about how “Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans are a threat to the very soul of this country.” But Biden’s speech, dubbed by the RNC as “another defining image of his presidency,” ignored the issues most pressing to Americans.
