Joe Biden has spent much time recently condemning the millions of American voters who support President Trump's Make America Great Again ideas.
They're "semi-fascists," Biden claims. They are undermining his plans for America to move to socialism, which undermines "democracy," he claims. And more.
But famed Harvard Law School expert, Alan Dershowitz, the Felix Frankfurter Professor of Law Emeritus and a confirmed liberal, is taking Biden to task.
"Biden would have been correct had he accused some MAGA supporters of a totalitarian mindset that could lead to tyranny. But he was dead wrong in limiting this mind-set to the hard right. It is at least equally applicable to many on the hard left. These so-called 'progressives' are as opposed to freedom of speech and due process for thee, as are the extremists on the hard right." he wrote in a column at the Gatestone Institute.

It is probably more accurate to say that there are a lot of nuts out there. The FBI is enacting an agenda to assign them to a specific “side”.

Dershowitz, like many leftists who premed even to themselves, to be open minded or conservative, have surprisingly little understanding of the constitution
Make America Great Again is centered on the constitution. It is all about voting. There is nothing “totalitarian mindset” about MAGA. Dershowitz might project his own pretense of having a certain political point of view that he can change Felton circumstances like a mafia wife
But he is incorrect. He doesn’t understand that conservative is not an ideology it is a way of life. It never attempts to change minds. It is incompatible with totalitarian.
The constitution could never support tyranny.

The constitution is defendable precisely because it never allows for extreme use. Anyone who is a nut in the sense that they try to force others to think as they do is always doing so outside of conservatism.
Like many liberals, Dershowitz will continue to support the democrat party despite him being thrown under the bus by that party and its acolytes.
The only people advocating actual censorship and taking away constitutional rights are on the left, that I’m aware of. Their ideas are commonly held in academia and MSM.
They have that in common with Islamists.
