  • Annual inflation rises to 6.8%, the highest rate since 1982

Consumer prices surged 6.8% in the year leading into November and 0.8% last month alone as a roaring economy overwhelmed struggling supply chains and fueled inflation, according to data released Friday by the Labor Department. The consumer price index (CPI), a closely watched gauge of inflation, rose sharply in November as retailers, warehouses, suppliers and shipping companies scrambled to meet intense demand. Economists expected the CPI to rise 0.7% in November and 6.7% annually after year-over-year inflation rose to 6.2% in October, the highest rate in 30 years. November’s annual inflation rate of 6.8% is the highest since 1982.
  • What is driving Hispanics away from the Democratic Party?

"If you’ve been following this issue then you know that President Trump’s inroads with Hispanic voters in 2020 was cause for serious concern among Democrats despite the fact that they eventually gained control of the White House and the Senate. That same worry cropped up again after the Republican sweep in the Virginia elections. There were conflicting reports over what happened in VA, with an AP/Fox News poll claiming Youngkin won the Hispanic vote while an alternate poll by Edison Research claimed McAuliffe won the Hispanic vote by 2:1. (Hispanics are a small percentage of the electorate in Virginia making...

What a horrible time to be a lib. The beloved Cuomo brothers are FINALLY unemployed. One lost his gig for being an alleged perv (though killing 15,000 elderly people SHOULD have been his downfall). The other is also an alleged perv BUT lost his gig trying to defame his brother’s victims. Who raised these miscreants? Kyle Rittenhouse got the verdict he deserved, though anyone with an ounce of brain knew he shouldn’t have been brought to trial. Now we have the cooked Christmas goose we all wanted: Jussie Smollet is the lying liar we all knew he was. The best...

BEDFORD, Ind. (AP) — General Motors is planning a $51 million upgrade at its aluminum die casting foundry in southern Indiana to support manufacturing of the upcoming electric Chevrolet Silverado pickup. GM said it will install state-of-the-art equipment at its sprawling Bedford plant, which this year began producing electric drive unit castings for the 2022 GMC Hummer EV Pickup and 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV, The Herald-Times reported. Production of the 2022 GMC Hummer EV Pickup will begin this month at GM’s Factory ZERO assembly plant, located in Detroit and Hamtramck, Michigan. “This investment is another example of the company...
  • AOC, who makes $175K a year, says taxpayers should have to pay off her $17K in student loan debt

As a member of Congress, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez makes a whopping $174,000 annually, meaning that she individually earns more than twice the average U.S. household’s income. Yet the progressive Democrat nonetheless thinks that working-class taxpayers should have to pay off her student loan debt. That’s one of the main takeaways from Ocasio-Cortez’s latest speech on the House floor. In the congresswoman’s remarks, she issued yet another factually challenged and morally distorted plea for “student debt cancellation,” a progressive euphemism for having taxpayers pay off approximately $1.6 trillion in student loan debt. (The loans aren’t “canceled” magically but paid off by...

  • With the Omicron variant, journalists just repeat talking points. Why are they always going to experts who have a track record of being wrong?

There are very few cases of the COVID omicron variant in the U.S. or the world, so how can it be that Pfizer or any drug company can run a test that shows that its vaccines or boosters work on it? That's the claim out there, but nobody's asking about it. There appear to be forty mild cases so far in the U.S., yet Pfizer seems to think it has a vaccine for it. But how the heck would anyone know if a such a vaccine or booster worked, or is even necessary? Experts" have said the omicron variant is...

Despite inflation broadening beyond problem sectors like used cars, the early bond market reaction to today’s CPI print suggests that markets are expecting the Federal Reserve to react marginally slower to inflationary pressures. This is good news for a Fed that has come under increasing pressure to hike rates against elevated inflation. The strength and speed of the recovery, especially relative to past recessions, has made it difficult for some to come to grips with the features that would distinguish “transitory” from “persistent” inflation, with calls for hikes reminiscent of 2015 Fed policy. In light of that ambiguity, Fed Chair...
  • Hamden (CT) Mayor Reports Omicron Variant in Town; Implements Mask Mandate

Hamden Mayor Lauren Garrett said that an Omicron variant case has been detected in town. Because of this and in consultation with the Quinnipiack Valley Health District, the town of Hamden is reinstating its mask mandate effective Dec. 11. The mayor says all people will be required to wear masks in indoor public spaces, regardless of vaccination status. “We have a lot of public places where people need to go like grocery stores and I want everybody to feel safe going into grocery stores, restaurants, any indoor public places," Garrett told NBC Connecticut. "Vaccination is the primary preventative method to...

The video is further evidence of fraud undertaken to conceal the widespread violations of Pennsylvania election law that occurred during last year’s presidential election, according to a source familiar with the recording. • NIH, Put Up or Shut Up About Fauci Dog Experiment Claims, Says PETA

[snip]NIH’s denial that Fauci’s agency funded the beagle atrocity is a little too convenient. NIH made the same argument after PETA exposed an NIH-funded experiment in China in which experimenters blasted monkeys with 100-decibel sound for 12 hours, withheld water and food, sprayed them with cold water, exposed them to strobe lighting for 12 hours, and electro-shocked their feet. The published study—like the one on the beagle experiments—clearly listed NIH as the funder. Then, as now, NIH called it a mistake. Is rewriting history the new defense against complicity in torture? PETA calls on NIH to release the original, unredacted...

Bob Dole on Friday at Washington National Cathedral, a day after Biden honored his longtime colleague in the Capitol Rotunda. Former President Bill Clinton, who defeated Dole in the 1996 election, and former Vice President Mike Pence were among the prominent attendees, sitting one row apart. • Why does Pfizer want its vaccine research protected? The number of unknowns about the vaccine creates suspicion. We have no way to calculate with any confidence long- and short-term risks

Go look at the VAERS COVID Vaccine Mortality Report to know why Pfizer wants FDA protection for its vaccine research along with 75 years of document secrecy. While there are all sorts of ways to interpret the VAERS data, and it's entirely possible that the vaccine is safer than COVID, not only have many people probably died from the vaccine, but there's also still no way of knowing what the vaccine's long-term effects are. Some experts have calculated that only about 1% of adverse reactions are ever reported for various reasons in the U.S. This could be due to minor...

Keir Starmer has said Boris Johnson is “not fit for office”. Speaking on a visit to Northumberland, he said: "[Johnson is] not fit for office and because he’s not fit for office, he won’t resign and the question really is for Tory members of the cabinet, Tory MPs, to ask themselves are they prepared to put up with this? ATLANTA (AP) — Georgia Republican David Perdue is furthering his embrace of debunked claims that Georgia's 2020 presidential election was wrongly decided by joining a lawsuit claiming that fraudulent or counterfeit ballots were counted in the state's most populous county in the 2020 general election. The suit, filed Friday, amplifies claims that the former senator has made this week since entering the 2022 Republican primary for governor on Monday, saying he wouldn't have certified Georgia's 2020 results if he had been governor then. Former President Donald Trump is backing Perdue in his challenge to incumbent GOP Gov. Brian Kemp, saying...

The Democrats’ Hispanic Voter Problem It's Not As Bad As You Think—It’s Worse The Democrats are steadily losing ground with Hispanic voters. The seriousness of this problem tends to be underestimated in Democratic circles for a couple of reasons: (1) they don’t realize how big the shift is; and (2) they don’t realize how thoroughly it undermines the most influential Democratic theory of the case for building their coalition. On the latter, consider that most Democrats like to believe that, since a relatively conservative white population is in sharp decline while a presumably liberal nonwhite population keeps growing, the course...
