Future prices for hot-rolled steel, commonly used in producing frames for trucks and heavy machinery, hit a record high Monday on the prospects of an infrastructure deal nears. July Nymex Midwest Domestic Hot-Rolled Coil Steel Futures hit a record high of $1,801 Monday, rising nearly 1%, after more than doubling from the virus pandemic low in 1Q20. Hot rolled steel is used in agriculture and heavy machinery equipment because of its high strength and formability. With the Biden team in damage control last weekend, admitting they will sign the roughly $1 trillion bipartisan infrastructure, prices have been on a tear....

Our goal was the universal triumph of the Communism, and for the sake of that goal everything was permissible - to lie, to steal, to destroy hundreds of thousands and even millions of people... everyone who stood in the way". -Lev KopelevAOC is rapidly approaching her transformation into full blooded Communist. She is normally dismissed for her intellectual deficits but now she is engaging in outright deceit and mendacity. She is becoming a wholesale propagandista. This is often described as "gaslighting." She did just that yesterday. Murder and crime is skyrocketing in large cities across the nation. Her take on...

Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs George Kent explained why the administration of U.S. President Joe Biden made a decision to release from the sanctions the main company that is responsible for the activity of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline – Nord Stream-2 AG as Voice of America reported. “It was made to leave the space for diplomacy. We made clear our expectations – Germany has to do the right thing, be a leader of Europe as it is now and assume actions to make sure that Russia does not use its energy as the weapon,”...

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – Governor JB Pritzker is encouraging people to once again wear masks indoors. This is due to the fast-spreading delta variant. Pritzker said people should wear masks even if they’re vaccinated. He said the threat of new strains of COVID-19 makes it urgent for more people to get their shots. “This virus is very much present, infecting people, hospitalizing some and tragically, killing others every day. Israel, which has led the world in vaccinations has reinstated its indoor mask mandate, and other mitigations in light of fully vaccinated adults getting infected with the delta variant,” Pritzker said.

“Then Darius the king wrote to all the peoples, nations, and men of every language who were living in all the land: ‘May your peace abound! I make a decree that in all the dominion of my kingdom men are to fear and tremble before the God of Daniel; for He is the living God and enduring forever, and His kingdom is one which will not be destroyed, and His dominion will be forever. He delivers and rescues and performs signs and wonders in heaven and on earth, who has also delivered Daniel from the power of the lions’” (Daniel...

Reaping the Whirlwind We used to do a feature for the New Year every so often. We'd make predictions about the upcoming year – local, state, national politics, some sports stuff, some off-the-wall things. It was entertaining. We also used to do a regular weekend prediction (centered around the holidays), predicting the maimings and killings that seem to infect Chicago on a regular basis. We drew upon the experience of multiple decades working multiple Districts not only of our writers, but our friends, acquaintances and readers. Statistics are an interesting field of study, and not to brag, but we spent...

Christ’s church has never been fully approved or accepted by the world, and it never will be. If you live for Jesus, you won’t have to separate yourself from secular company; they’ll do it for you. All you have to do is live for him. Suddenly, you’ll find yourself reproached, rejected, called evil: “Blessed are you when men hate you, and when they exclude you, and revile you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of Man’s sake” (Luke 6:22, NKJV). However, Jesus adds that this is the path to true fulfillment. “For whoever desires to save...

Pancreatic cancer cells (blue) growing as a sphere encased in membranes (red). Credit: National Cancer Institute =============================================================================== Researchers from Queen Mary University of London have identified a protein that could be used to aid in the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. Findings from the new study suggest that a protein called pentraxin 3 (PTX3) may be a specific diagnostic biomarker—or biological measure—for pancreatic cancer, with the ability to differentiate pancreatic cancer from other non-cancerous conditions of the pancreas. The research was published today in npj Precision Oncology, and primarily funded by the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund, Barts Charity and Cancer Research...

Gas stations across the country are facing fuel shortages, driving prices to a seven-year high as more than 40 million Americans prepare to hit the road for the Fourth of July weekend. The nationwide average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gas hit $3.09 on Monday, the highest price Americans have been asked to shell out ahead of the holiday weekend since 2014, according to data from the American Automobile Association. AAA forecasts that 43.6 million Americans will travel by car this weekend — the most so far this year.

(Excerpt from halfway down): According to flightaware.com, 120,000 cancellations per year is the average for global flights. An average day would see 329 cancellations. A 2 day average would see 658 cancellations. But between Friday and Saturday, 3,533 cancellations occurred. That’s a 580% increase in cancellations globally in the past 2 days.

Our Founding Fathers gave us a republic by which our revolutions are fought at the ballot box. I can assure you: There is a revolution taking place within the grassroots of our society. There is a remnant of freedom-loving, America-loving, God-fearing activists of all races and of all socioeconomic levels arising in every state across America, committed to taking back our country from the radical, godless Marxists who have infiltrated every level of our government—right up to the White House. These average, everyday Americans are outraged at witnessing—over the course of the last four years—corrupt U.S. intelligence operatives, Democratic leadership,...

WASHINGTON—The Supreme Court on Tuesday removed a hurdle to the construction of a natural-gas pipeline through Pennsylvania and New Jersey, ruling the pipeline developer could invoke the power of the federal government to take state property needed for the project. The court, in a 5-4 opinion by Chief Justice John Roberts, rejected New Jersey’s challenge to the actions of the PennEast Pipeline Co., a joint venture of several energy companies that aims to build a 116-mile interstate pipeline. Joining the chief justice were two fellow conservatives, Justices Samuel Alito and Brett Kavanaugh, and two liberals, Justices Stephen Breyer and Sonia...

CNN reporter Donie O'Sullivan went to the Trump rally over the weekend to interview and spotlight the people who think Trump didn't lose. But on Tuesday's New Day, they isolated one man who claimed that President Trump would "come back before the middle of August." Asked by O'Sullivan "what if it doesn't happen?", the man responded: "we're going to be in a civil war, because the militia will be taking over." That sent the CNN panel—composed of substitute host Erica Hill, law enforcement correspondent Whitney Wild, and CNN anchor Laura Jarrett [daughter of Valerie]—into a tizzy. One man's opinion represented...

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis continues to just hit it out of the park with conservatives across America, and barring whether or not the 45th President runs or not, he’s the front runner to be the GOP nominee, or Trump’s Vice President, there’s little doubt anymore. He’ll be one or the other, hands down. On Tuesday he signed a bill requiring high school students to learn about the “evils of communism and totalitarian ideologies.” A brilliant move as the liberal indoctrination of students from the racist Teachers Union is the biggest threat facing America outside of election fraud. During a press...

Democrats and Republicans agree on little these days, and that couldn’t be more true when it comes to pro-family economic policy. While a number of Republicans have proposed expanding the child tax credit or considered other ways to direct cash assistance to families, Democrats prefer a big government approach. In April, the White House released what it called the “American Families Plan,” a $1.8 trillion spending package that promises a bunch of giveaways to left-wing interest groups, most notably to woke activists in the education establishment. One of the plan’s most controversial proposals calls for $200 billion for two years...

After a fun and exciting month of celebrating pride, the first of the seven deadly sins, Americans are gearing up to celebrate Greed Month—as well as Lust Month, Envy Month, Gluttony Month, Wrath Month, And Sloth Month. "Yeah- it's been a great pride month. I feel so prideful!" said local man Sasparillo Gunderprit. "But what I'm really looking forward to is greed month. I'm gonna celebrate by accumulating wealth for myself by abandoning all my morals. Just like Nike and Disney! Yay!" Baptist churches, on the other hand, are already gearing up for gluttony month, which has always been their...

Jeff Dunham is once again proving that he is not afraid of the PC Police and pokes fun at the president with his “Creepy Uncle Joe” routine. The comedian and ventriloquist’s latest video of Joe Biden whispering under the covers is evidence of this. Dunham even hints that this highlighting of Biden’s bizarre behavior might be something he does regularly.
