At twilight on New Year’s Eve, 2020, Placido Montoya, 35, a plumber from Fort Morgan, Colorado, was driving to work. Ahead of him he noticed blinking lights in the sky. He’d heard rumours of mysterious drones, whispers in his local community, but now he was seeing them with his own eyes. In the early morning gloom, it was hard to make out how big the lights were and how many were hovering above him. But one thing was clear to Montoya: he needed to give chase. As he approached the drones in his car, they “took off very fast” and...

Last summer, an early morning fire ripped through the San Gabriel Mission, causing severe damage to the roof and interior of the landmark 249-year-old adobe-and-wood structure. Then Tuesday, a 57-year-old man who has two previous fire-related convictions was charged with setting the blaze. John David Corey was known at the mission and had a history of conflict with its staff, according to law enforcement officials with knowledge of the case who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss...

On social media, there has been a lot of weeping and wailing due to the huge financial losses that some people have experienced this week. But if you think that these losses are bad, just wait until you see what is coming later. In the old days, investors would...

Over a year into the pandemic, after we were told we would only need two weeks to stop the spread, the American people have understandably less than thrilled with Dr. Anthony Fauci. Lawrence Richard of the Washington Examiner pointed to not one, but two polls showing so. One, from the Trafalgar Group, found that almost double the amount of overall likely voters said their confidence in Dr. Fauci had decreased in the past year as it had increased, by 42.2 percent to 22.1 percent. A plurality of respondents, at 30.1 percent, said their confidence had "decreased significantly," while 26.1 percent...

The solar cycle of the Sun's magnetic field lasts for around 11 years. We are currently at the beginning of Cycle 25, the 25th cycle since humans started recording them. The solar minimum is the part of the cycle that has the least amount of activity, while the solar maximum – which is due for July 2025 – is the most active, causing the Sun's magnetic poles to flip, sunspots, and solar eruptions of particles. The new study, reported in the journal Solar Physics, has found that solar storms will either occur before the maximum or after the maximum depending...

According to Secret Service travel records obtained by Judicial Watch, then-Vice President Joe Biden’s son Hunter took 411 trips across 29 countries between 2009 and the middle of 2014. That includes 23 flights into or out of Joint Base Andrews—home to Air Force One and Air Force Two. Despite this evidence that there was not an “absolute wall” between Hunter and Joe when it comes to business endeavors, the establishment press has shown little interest in exploring whether Hunter was actually leveraging his father’s power to enrich himself. In fact, quite the contrary.

The world is once again witness to yet another installment in the war between Arabs and Jews. It is very important to realize that this conflict goes far beyond land disputes or charges and countercharges of racism and oppression. Neither is the current conflict merely the fruit of May 1948, with the establishment of the modern State of Israel, and the Arab resentment to it. What we are seeing is the fulfillment of prophecy which extends as far back as the book of Genesis. The Bible offers us an explanation to this seemingly intractable problem, and it does so in...

As vaccinations and relaxed health guidelines make returning to the office a reality for more companies, there seems to be a disconnect between managers and their workers over remote work.A good example of this is a recent op-ed written by the CEO of a Washington, D.C., magazine that suggested workers could lose benefits like health care if they insist on continuing to work remotely as the COVID-19 pandemic recedes. The staff reacted by refusing to publish for a day. While the CEO later apologized, she isn’t alone in appearing to bungle the transition back to the office after over a...

A TIME FOR EVERYTHING There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: A time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, A time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, A time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, A time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, A time...

Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg has set her sights on changing how the world produces and consumes food in order to counteract a trio of threats: carbon emissions, disease outbreaks and animal suffering. In a video posted on Twitter on Saturday, Thunberg said the environmental impact of farming as well as disease outbreaks such as COVID-19, which is believed to have originated from animals, would be reduced by changing how food was produced. "Our relationship with nature is broken. But relationships can change," Thunberg said in the video marking the International Day of Biological Diversity.

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem Psalm 73BOOK III Psalms 73–89 Psalm 73 A psalm of Asaph. 1 Surely God is good to Israel, to those who are pure in heart. 2 But as for me, my feet had almost slipped; I had nearly lost my foothold. 3 For I envied the arrogant when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. 4 They have no struggles; their bodies are healthy and strong.[a] 5 They are free from common human burdens; they are not plagued by human ills. 6 Therefore pride is their necklace; they clothe themselves with violence. 7 From...
