Two skydivers plunged to their deaths after colliding midair in a horrifying Southern California accident Friday. The pair were rushed to a hospital after the reported midair collision in Lake Elsinore but neither survived, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to the California Post. Deputies responded to the 20000 block of Cereal Street at 11:47 a.m. after receiving a report of an air emergency. “Upon arrival, deputies located two skydivers on the ground receiving medical aid,” said Sheriff’s Lt. Deirdre Vickers. “Both subjects were transported to a local hospital in critical condition, where they were later pronounced deceased.” SNIP Both...

Democratic Socialist Nithya Raman was spotted for the first time since winning the race for Los Angeles mayor, making her the first mayoral challenger to defeat an incumbent since 2005. Raman made her way from her home to a combined yoga studio and workspace in downtown LA. “Los Angeles, I’m deeply honored to be your next mayor,” Raman said in a video statement. “Thank you to the thousands of people who knocked on doors, sent texts, made phone calls, convinced their neighbors to believe in the promise of this big, beautiful, joyful city that we get to call home.

Abdul El-Sayed, who recently won the Democratic primary for the US Senate in Michigan, has launched a political action committee named Habibi PAC, marking an early move to expand his political influence and back other candidates within the party. According to Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings cited by The Hill, El-Sayed established the leadership PAC shortly after securing his victory on Tuesday. Such committees operate separately from election campaign funds and allow politicians to raise money for supporting fellow candidates and political allies rather than financing their own campaigns. The choice of name reflects a phrase that became a recurring...

In every election, there are winners and losers … except in the 2026 LA mayoral election: Everybody lost. Clearly, Nithya Raman didn’t win the election, so much as Karen Bass lost it. And with the inept, stuttering and incompetent Nithya Raman ascending to the top spot at City Hall, we all lose. I had dubbed this the “Dumb and Dumber” election because, ever since I was knocked out of the race, we were essentially left with two sides of the same coin. We’ve lurched from an old-school incompetent communist activist to a new-school incompetent socialist carpetbagger; it’s a distinction without...

Since 2020, more than 100 companies have relocated to Texas. A whopping 40 percent of them are fleeing California. And of the ten Fortune 500 companies that have moved to Texas in the last six years, eight of them are from our rival in the West. These California transplants are some of the nearly 330 corporate headquarters that Texas has attracted since Governor Abbott became governor.

ChatGPT Video Transcript SummaryOverall Summary The broadcast centered on the Republican midterm election defeat, Trump's perceived abandonment of conservative supporters, the possibility of escalating U.S. military action against Iran, and the prospect of a broader economic crisis. Jones argued that Trump's political decisions had alienated his electoral base and that the Republican losses reflected growing dissatisfaction with the administration. He predicted that Democrats would use their anticipated congressional gains to pursue investigations and political action against Trump supporters. The program also examined the potential consequences of a renewed Iran conflict, including the possibility of nuclear escalation, and discussed concerns about...

Twenty years after University of Miami football star Bryan Pata was fatally shot, his loved ones hoped 2026 would bring long-awaited justice and a turning point for their sorrow and frustration. But instead of a verdict in the murder trial of Pata's ex-teammate Rashaun Jones, the Pata family got a mistrial in March, followed by eight months of legal bickering over jailhouse snitches, an investigation into the lead detective, allegations of bribery against defense lawyers and efforts to disqualify the judge amid claims of bias. Pata's relatives and friends have long blamed 15 years of police missteps and disregard between...

Given the projectile vomiting of blue onto the electoral map, I thought it might be a good time to take in some refresher material on what we're going to be up against. Given the sadness of the occasion, I prefer movies over actual reference material to help keep things at least entertaining. Obviously, I've already seen these so if you have your own recommendations, please add. Here are my top recommendations for weekend viewing:

Trump fires his chief of staff, as his political universe shrinks. Most Presidents who take a beating in midterm elections acknowledge the trouncing and take responsibility. But Donald Trump isn’t most Presidents, in case you hadn’t noticed. On Friday he sacked his able chief of staff, Susie Wiles, and said he will replace her with domestic policy adviser Stephen Miller. To adapt the famous “Saturday Night Live” skit, what Mr. Trump seems to want is more MAGA cowbell. “I am pleased to announce that Mr. Stephen Miller, the current Deputy Chief of Staff of the Trump Administration, and one of my...

TRANSCRIPT BEGINS~~~ [The Glenn Beck Program, around October 14, 2026]Glenn Beck: What’s going to come out of this, John? What is your feeling on this one?John Solomon: So, I’ve been on the same roller coaster you have, Glenn. You know, you do lots of this great reporting. You try to help people. I’ve been in the White House declassifying documents, and you see this extraordinary body of evidence—and then you see the people implicated in that body of evidence walking free, thumbing their nose, going on television, making money, writing false letters that mislead Americans in elections—and you’re like, “Is...

BLACK BOX VOTING BOOK FREE DOWNLOAD! This book was ordered by the White House in 2004. It was reported to have been found on Osama bin Laden’s bookshelf when he was killed. It has been downloaded half a million times. The information in the book is heavily sourced and it has been vetted by editors from several major media outlets. Though it is old (I wrote it in 2003) the information in it still stands — if anything, elections today are even more opaque and tamper-friendly than before. Here are links for free download of the complete first edition of...

Foreign-born workers soar by 809K in October, the biggest monthly increase since Jan 2025 Native-born workers dropped by 64K

We asked AI to simulate what Texas will be like now that it has become a blue state.

Both parties agreed on this tumultuous midterm election’s essential point. President Trump wanted voters to “pretend I’m on the ballot.” With his approval at 38%, Democrats happily agreed. The results were catastrophic for Republicans. They lost almost everywhere, including places where defeat was once unimaginable. Republicans dropped from 53 in the Senate to no more than 46, with losses in Iowa, Kansas, Ohio, South Carolina and Texas as well as Georgia, North Carolina and Maine. In the House, Democrats are expected to have around 258 seats, a pickup of at least 43. Many Republicans in supposedly safe districts narrowly escaped...

Fifteen years working as an emergency room nurse has convinced Kim Bogan that the only way to fix the American healthcare system is to tear it down and start over. Her patients arriving for triage are sicker than ever. They can't afford many of the prescriptions they get in the ER. And sometimes when patients die, she wonders if she could have saved them had she not been caring for five or six other people at once. That's why she spent the past year shuttling between 12-hour shifts at this city's Sparrow Hospital and campaigning for Abdul El-Sayed, the Democrat...

AN ARMED man has been arrested near the White House after he allegedly said threatened to kill Donald Trump. Secret Service agents found the Venezuelan migrant in a stolen car packed with firearms, according to the Department of Homeland Security. Officers said they approached the suspect after spotting him “acting suspicious in his car while parked on Constitution Avenue in Washington.” He reportedly told police that he heard voices in his head telling him to come to the capital and kill Trump, the DHS said.

Jonathan Goldstein was speaking in his personal capacity, and not on behalf of the NRA.NRA Finance Committee Chairman Jonathan Goldstein discusses financial accountability, the NRA 2.0 reform movement, and rebuilding trust with gun owners. You are in the emergency room. You have been told you are being admitted. And then, you wait. And wait. Four, 12, maybe even 24 hours, still stuck in the E.R., waiting for a bed to open up. This new normal in American hospitals is about to intensify. The practice of keeping patients in the E.R., called “boarding,” for hours or even days has been increasing over the past decade. One in four patients who were admitted through the E.R. spent at least four hours waiting in the E.R. before getting a bed in September 2024, compared with one in...

Gov. Ron DeSantis is preparing to run for the GOP’s 2028 presidential nomination, according to three people briefed on his plans, after his home state of Florida was one of the few conservative bastions to survive the Democrats’ sweeping midterm victory. “Florida’s walls not being breached by the blue wave gives DeSantis more credibility than nearly anyone in the opening days of the 2028 primary,” said Dan Eberhart, a longtime Republican donor and energy executive, who served as a surrogate for DeSantis’s unsuccessful 2024 presidential campaign. Already, DeSantis has reached out to at least one national political consultant about working...
