Abdul El-Sayed, who recently won the Democratic primary for the US Senate in Michigan, has launched a political action committee named Habibi PAC, marking an early move to expand his political influence and back other candidates within the party.
According to Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings cited by The Hill, El-Sayed established the leadership PAC shortly after securing his victory on Tuesday. Such committees operate separately from election campaign funds and allow politicians to raise money for supporting fellow candidates and political allies rather than financing their own campaigns.
The choice of name reflects a phrase that became a recurring feature of El-Sayed's campaign. Habibi, an Arabic term meaning “my beloved”, was frequently used by the senator-elect while addressing supporters and responding to criticism from Republican opponents.
El-Sayed brought the expression into the spotlight again in his victory speech, directing a pointed remark at Vice President JD Vance, who had criticised him during the campaign.
“JD, habibi,” El-Sayed said. “There is this delicious irony in the fact that you’re constitutionally obligated to swear me in in January.”
Vance is expected to administer his oath when El-Sayed takes office in January in his capacity as vice president.

The final solution... to Michigan elections.
Instead of swearing him in Vance should declare him a clear and present danger and do what is necessary
Al-sayed needs to NEVER be near President Trump or Vice-president Vance. Not in the same roo, maybe not the same building. I spite of his denials, he is Muslim Brotherhood.
Disgusting. No grace; just gloating like an uncouth Neanderthal.
Nothing like the enemy within the gates.
I’m gonna call it “Dhimmi PAC”.
Although Jihadi PAC might be even more accurate.
Agreed. El Sayed is evil.
He’s an enemy combatant.
All Islamists and US Islamocommies are controlled by satan.
Joking about killing Charlie Kirk again?
GMAFB! Is that sickeningly sinister or what?
In fact, THEY are the Great Satan.
Well, let’s see. We let this happen by having immigration policy that encouraged vast numbers of people from alien cultures to come here. They came and a lot of them became citizens and had children born here. Then they are now doing what we encourage citizens to do, even though far too many “legacy Americans” don’t do it — becoming involved in political issues and voting. I see this in the “Little Palestine” area in one the suburbs of Chicago. I almost have to admire their civic-mindedness, although I am sickened by the danger people like El Sayed pose to this country. Bad government policy and Americans shirking their rights and responsibilites as citizens, led to this. The camel is in the tent — but how did he get in?
I would make sure this guy’s organization has the name and address of every Jewish voter who voted for him. I know he and his org are going to want to thank them personally.
Two approaches to the post election wipeout. One, get the GOP to get its act together. Two, give the voters what they voted for and give it to them hard.
Enough of this “abstract voting” crap. Elections have consequences and this consequences need to be brought home.
Let’s start in Texas. How about a nice, healthy state income and corporate tax followed by a good dose of trans rights, gun control and some money for a local
Satanic church in their neighborhoods.
I dont get the “delicious irony” from this malevolent dwarf. If you want delicious irony, Harris announcing at the electoral vote counting that Trump has won, now that was tasty!
