From California to Texas — Companies Stop Dreamin’ and Start Livin
Greg Abbott's website ^ | April 8 2026 | Greg Abbott

Since 2020, more than 100 companies have relocated to Texas. A whopping 40 percent of them are fleeing California. And of the ten Fortune 500 companies that have moved to Texas in the last six years, eight of them are from our rival in the West. These California transplants are some of the nearly 330 corporate headquarters that Texas has attracted since Governor Abbott became governor.

Thank you very much and God bless you.

Abbott has been working hard to bring California to Texas, as was Gov Good Hair Perry before him.

These moves will be rather short-lived, given just how rapidly Texas is becoming California

Maybe those companies were a bit premature in unhitching their U-Hauls.
Should have kept going to LA, MS, AL, &/or FL
...but hindsight is always closer to 20-20 i

And those companies brought along a huge number of people who wanted to keep their jobs and buy a cheaper house. Huge numbers of women, and the guys brought along wives and daughters. Those companies are chock full of leftists.

Perry and Abbott scoured California and New York and the libtards flooded in. It’s a classic example of the last capitalist selling the communist the rope that he will use to hang them! In the last four years alone, Texas went up 7% in population.

And those tech companies flooded in the H1Bs. Abbott and Perry destroyed Texas.

If I were the GOP in TX I would, ever so subtly:

Work to pass a state income tax akin to CA

Work to pass a corporate tax that makes CA look minor

Work to keep data centers from being built.

Make sure trans rights are stop the agenda.

And on and on.

Why? Stop the flow of companies to TX and even make em move out. And give everyone in the state what they just voted for and give it to em hard.

They wanted it, welp, welcome to the State of Taxes. And remind them, that their gas was high.
