Finding deepens U.S.-China tensions ahead of the Trump-Xi summit as officials examine possible Chinese help tracking American warships Before Iran carried out its attack that killed three U.S. troops in July, Tehran acquired high-resolution satellite images of the base in Jordan from Chinese entities, according to U.S. officials familiar with details of the incident. It is the clearest evidence so far that Chinese support for Iran during the war has had lethal consequences for U.S. forces, according to the officials, who say the U.S. has connected the imagery to the attack. The U.S. officials declined to identify the Chinese entities...

Thanks to warm coastal waters and the developing El Niño, Southern California is seeing an influx of sea creatures not commonly found in the region. Last month, a hammerhead shark was captured on video near the Malibu Pier; they’re typically found in warm, tropical and subtropical coastal waters. Then, on Wednesday, a pilot working with Southern California’s commercial fishing industry recorded footage of a lone whale shark between Malibu and Santa Barbara Island. CREDIT: Carl Sbarounis/IG: airpilikiaWhale sharks are the largest fish in the world and, like hammerheads, are commonly found in warm, tropical waters – not California. Sbarounis estimated...

Republican Michigan Senate candidate Mike Rogers is lacing into his foe Dr. Abdul El-Sayed by highlighting a video from David Beamer, the father of Flight 93 hero Todd Beamer — as the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks fast approaches. The elder Beamer, a Michigander who endorsed Rogers this week, took aim at El-Sayed’s association with notorious far-left streamer Hasan Piker, who said in 2019 that “America deserved 9/11.” El-Sayed repeatedly stumped with Piker, though he did disavow that comment. “A citizen, I guess, has a free will and a right to say that,” David Beamer chided...

At 10:45 a.m. on September 11, 2001, a Coast Guard lieutenant named Mike Day keyed a radio in New York Harbor and said the only sentence that mattered. “All available boats. This is the United States Coast Guard. Anyone wanting to help with the evacuation of Lower Manhattan, report to Governors Island.” The boats were already coming. The bridges were closed. The tunnels were closed. The subways were dead. South of the towers, hundreds of thousands of people had nowhere left to walk. Some jumped into the Hudson. Some stood on seawalls that were never meant to be docks and...

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and a “Squad” buddy whipped up a panic Thursday demanding the feds to probe “a national crisis” involving a string of “modern-day lynchings” of blacks — even though all available evidence does not point to racial animus in the tragic deaths. The far-left New York City Dem joined US Rep. Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts and other Democrats in firing off a letter to US Attorney General Todd Blanche and FBI Director Kash Patel on Tuesday urging them “to fully investigate suspicious deaths and hold individuals accountable,” citing “10 reported hangings of Black people” so far in 2026....

Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin says a federal investigation involving Rep. Ilhan Omar is active — and that investigators are looking beyond the long-running, disputed allegation about her marriage history. Mullin made the comments during an interview with conservative commentator Benny Johnson at the Republican midterm convention. Asked what would happen next, the DHS secretary answered: “Something’s going to happen. This is an ongoing investigation.” Here is the exchange: Mullin asserted that Omar married Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, whom he described as her brother, to help him enter the United States. That allegation has circulated for years, but it has...
