BUTCHER’S THUMB – Sunday, September 7th, 2026
(Hybrid Format)
General Mood
The networks are drifting deeper into election‑season autopilot — panels, narratives, “democracy framing,” and the usual parade of “Republicans who criticize Trump.” But underneath the surface, the world is moving in ways the shows won’t touch. Real demographic shifts, real enforcement changes, real ideological fractures — all happening off‑camera while the Sunday lineup pretends the only story in America is November.
This week’s guest lists are weak. The real stories are happening elsewhere.
What’s Not Being Covered
#1 — The Clancy Mistrial
A deadlocked jury in a horrific case involving three murdered children — and not one Sunday show is touching it. While many despair at the number of supporters who stupidly--Woke--think she, not her children, was the real victim, the networks are steering clear. It’s raw, emotional, and politically inconvenient — so they pretend it isn’t happening.
#2 — Trump’s Strengthening Numbers Among Hispanic Voters
A major demographic shift is underway, and it’s one Democrats cannot afford. Hispanic support for Trump is rising in multiple battlegrounds, and the networks won’t touch it. Instead, they highlight “safe” polling or bring on establishment Democrats to avoid discussing the deeper fracture: the DSA vs. Old‑School split that’s driving moderates and working‑class voters away.
This is a realignment — and the shows don’t want viewers to see it.
#3 — The Real Economic Picture
There are 2.9 million fewer people in the country due to Trump‑era ICE crackdowns — including the voluntary “pay‑to‑leave” program — easing pressure on services and stabilizing several labor sectors. Employment growth continues. Inflation remains a concern but not a crisis.
It’s a mixed but fundamentally stabilizing picture — and the networks won’t touch it because it doesn’t fit the preferred “economic doom” narrative.
#4 — Renewed Action in the Persian Gulf
Fresh naval activity and sharper exchanges involving Iran — but the networks barely mention it, even as Iran’s economic and military position continues to weaken. It’s a real geopolitical story, but not one the Sunday shows want to touch, especially when it doesn’t hurt Trump or help Democrats.
#5 — Maria Bartiromo’s Fox Shake‑Up
Maria Bartiromo — the only Sunday host who consistently covers the real stories — is being bum‑rushed inside Fox, and it’s already affecting the weekend lineup. If Fox sidelines her, the Sunday landscape loses its last host willing to break out of election‑season packaging and cover enforcement numbers, demographic shifts, and foreign‑policy moves the other networks ignore.
Show‑by‑Show Breakdown
(Classic July 26 style — longer, structured, verdicts)
ABC – This Week (George Stephanopoulos)
ABC is leaning hard into election framing. Expect panels discussing “democracy,” “institutions,” and “threats to norms,” with a Republican or two comfortable criticizing Trump. None of the demographic shifts, enforcement numbers, or foreign‑affairs developments above will get airtime.
Verdict: Narrative maintenance, not news.
NBC – Meet the Press (Kristen Welker)
NBC will follow the same pattern: election season, institutional framing, and moral‑narrative packaging. Welker’s panels will focus on “protecting democracy” and “guardrails,” with little interest in Hispanic realignment or ICE enforcement results. The Clancy mistrial won’t be mentioned — too raw, too unpredictable.
Verdict: Domestic politics only; inconvenient stories ignored.
CBS – Face the Nation (Margaret Brennan)
CBS brings on establishment voices to reinforce process‑and‑institution framing. Brennan may touch border policy or economic numbers, but only in the safest possible way. No mention of the Clancy mistrial, no mention of Hispanic realignment, and absolutely no mention of renewed Persian Gulf tensions.
Verdict: Procedural, cautious, and incomplete.
CNN – State of the Union (Jake Tapper)
Tapper will use his guests as narrative tools. Expect Republicans who criticize Trump, Democrats who reinforce institutional framing, and panels that avoid anything geopolitically inconvenient. The Persian Gulf story won’t be touched — too ambiguous, too hard to spin. The Hispanic shift won’t be touched — too damaging to Democrats.
Verdict: Predictable framing, zero curiosity.
Fox News Sunday
Fox may touch the economic numbers or enforcement changes, but even here the deeper structural angles often get overshadowed by immediate partisan framing. The Clancy mistrial might get a passing mention — but not the broader implications.
Verdict: Some substance, but not the full picture.
Fox – Sunday Morning Futures (Maria Bartiromo)
Maria is still the only host who reliably covers the real stories — but with her current bum‑rush out the Fox News door, even this show may feel constrained. If any show mentions Hispanic realignment, ICE enforcement numbers, or Persian Gulf tensions, it will be hers… assuming Fox doesn’t tighten the leash further.
Verdict: Still the closest thing to actual coverage — but under pressure.
Closing Cut
This week’s real story isn’t on the guest lists. It’s in the quiet moves happening off‑camera:
A mistrial in a case that shook the nation.
A demographic shift the networks don’t want to acknowledge.
An economic picture that contradicts the preferred narrative.
Renewed Persian Gulf tensions the shows won’t touch.
And a Fox shake‑up that threatens the only Sunday host who covers the real stories.
The networks won’t cover these stories. The Thumb will.

“The Sunday Morning Bray”, by Bray!
John 14:23 (King James Version)
Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
The biggest recovery since Reagan is being hidden from the American people by the Establishmedia for fear of losing another election to President Trump. They are hiding it behind the high gas prices which is being blamed on the Iran blockade. The cost of gas is so far down on the evidence of economic health it is a mostly fake reason.
Real evidence is the incredible jobs report released last Friday. It only tripled what the Communist experts predicted it would be while adjusting upward the previous months report. These must be the same experts who said wearing a mask would stop the Covid virus and that chain link fences stop mosquitoes. The experts hate Trump and America, or they would never be allowed inside the hallowed halls of academia.
The construction industry is having the biggest boom in forty years. It has not reached inside the home construction sector and is primarily centered in large industrial projects. Corporate builders are being pushed to the limit due to the lack of cheap hardworking illegal immigrants as is the trucking industry.
This has driven up to prices of both but is a short-term issue as more and more Americans are being trained into the work force. Once these plants are built thee will be an even bigger shortage of labor to man these plants being built to build products built in America. They will cost more than those built by slave labor throughout Asia but is better for America and Americans.
The Democrat Communist Party are going to focus on the price of gas and how it is making it harder on Americans. They are going to mention will be how they are the real cause of this high-priced gas primarily in Blue states, is how their war on oil is the reason prices spice if there is any disruption in foreign oil and a serious lack of refining capacity. The most critical lack is diesel production around the world especially when there is more trucking around America.
Where is the lowering of gas prices in Blue states which are all $1-2/gal more than Red states. It is because they love high priced gas to punish people for owning which is what they truly hate. It is another industry they need to destroy to put an end to capitalism and America.
This is why the media is hiding this recovery since it is allowed to continue after this year it is likely they will never see power again. Americans would realize Dems have not done anything in the last fifty years to make their lives better and only passed laws to make their lives harder like higher gas prices.
The Stone Age Press is hiding the recovery and not reporting the biggest jobs report in years. They are falsely blaming the gas prices on Trump when he has done everything he can in reversing everything Biden did to destroy it. Without his expanding production and expanding into Venezuela gas would be much higher with this boom economy. Oil is the lifeblood of capitalism which is why Trump is pumping as much as he can into the heart of America. If you want that stopped just vote for the Dims and they will go back to shutting down this lifeblood.
There is the biggest recovery in the last forty years happening and being hid by the mediots. Yes, gas is higher than it has been but there are lots of reasons why. Iran is a reason but the worshiping of the eart through Climate Change is the real root of the crisis. Communists are extremely good at solving fake problems which always lead to real issues like the price of gas for Americans.
Pray for America
Note: The above opinion is not necessarily my own, but FReeper Bray’s. If you wish to discuss this, please ping Bray.
Could care less what the cons in Congress got to say. It is bad enough having to suffer through the political ads. They should be banned.

Will fake news report what Paul Ryan is doing to control the narrative.....
Oh wait, never mind
“SUNDAY MORNING FUTURES (FNC): Is it still the Show to watch? “
We want Maria!
I sincerely hope Maria does some podcast or another network which we can watch on Sunday Mornings.
And perhaps better—no Daddy Fox overwatch. She has the money and knows lots of good people to have on worth interviewing. This might give her lots more freedom!
The driveyb media, which is what i will cover from now on,is really doing a job on everything they can, they lie through a variety of methods and are really good at it.
Likely the mockingbirds are singing at a very high note. The more you look into just how corrupt the CIA has been over the years the more it explains how ans where we are today especially in Iran.
when you think that CIA/mossad had over 40 years to clean up Iran and all that happened is that things got worse where iran was the major state sponsor of terrorism in the world it lets you know what the cias was up to.Nothing good.
Another issue that is currently being used to beat us over the head y the driveby media is data centers good or bad.
Truth is it doesn't matter they are here to stay and if we stop building them we fall into the hands of china. so best bet is to make them a giant plus instead of letting the media lie their collective asses off abut how bad they are.
Its not that hard to turn the corner with data centers. to begin with they are over-financed with billions of spare dollars, always a great problem to have.
Why not do what i suggested here earlier this morning.
I'm conflicted with Data centers. AI is taking over which will happen no mater what.
Problem is the same-ol same-ol,it's like ships, weapons you name it.
We are in a mfg. war with the chicoms. If we don't stay ahead of them they win we lose. They never lose since they steal everything they can from us. If they can't figure it out they just steal it from us.
It's a viscous world at times, true survival of the fittest.
IMHO, the smart play for us with the data centers is to take advantage of their over-funding which is massive.
If data centers expanded and were built on the Atlantic,Pacific and Gulf they could also provide soon to be needed, if not now, fresh water.
We had desalinization plants in Key West 40 years ago. They worked then and will work better now. Also, it solves the water problem for the centers and allows them to sell excess fresh water that is super pure.
Same thing can happen with electricity.Instead of stealing local power why not go small nukes and create their own. Or, better yet, free energy machines. Once again make it big enough to sell, share or give to the locals so data centers become big pluses for local areas instead of constant friction for no reason.
When you think about it data center construction which creates loads of jobs, some employment of locals and providing not only their own needs for water and power but excess that can be sold and maybe profit shared with locals could be a big win.
It's all an attitude.
You can make them a positive addition to the locale or do what we do now and just give the rats one more issue to beat us over the head with.
No Maria.
No fox.
Too much clickbait as to why she’s gone. Anyone know the REAL answer?
Between her and her husband AI shows a net worth of somewhere between 150 and 200 million. But a closer look I made about a year ago showed a lot close to 950 million.
Either way Maria and her husband are in good shape financially and she's able to do just about whatever she wants whenever she wants.
She may have a few legal hurdles to jump through but my guess is we have not seen the last of her.
She left on top of her game and as the top journalist at Fox and likely the nation.
She's too much of a patriot not to return to the action. She will be back!!
Here she is with the leader of the free world:
Online rumors are that Cheryl Casone is having an affair with Joshua Henne, a prominent American democratic political strategist, communications expert, and speechwriter based in the Tri-State area (New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania). He is best known as the Founder and Owner of White Horse Strategies.
Joshua Henne is married to Jeanette Hoffman (often credited as Jeanette Henne), who is also a high-profile public relations specialist and Republican political strategist.
This COULD be the thing that finally kills the drivebys.
I mean, she has the ability to work with Trump to start their own network and news organization.
Since the 1930s with the advent of radio new networks that became television networks 10-15 years later, the “news” has always been a left leaning game. And it’s only got worse ever since.
I’m not even sure TV is the future anyways.
The Clancy trial was covered so heavily this week by cable and alphabets alike and it was because of the election year political fruit it could yield as much if not more than the outcome. As soon as they said 9 females on the jury and the trial is in the NE you just knew the likely outcome was innocent by reason of insanity and 3 neutered men in the jury box. Fortunately there was one man with cajones, and all it cost him is the rest of his life unless he moves to a red state. Either way the legacy media, and after this week I think Fox is joining them, proved once again something I’ve said for the last 15 years.....This is a war,the media is the enemy, treat them accordingly.
The possibilities for Maria are endless,I could not begin to guess what she has in mind or if she has something in mind.
She has been so deep into news for so long she may need a long rest,I know I would.
Yes...ppl are pissed. Who cares about the Iran war for the last 5 months! Most of us don't! Trump should of paid more attention to our economy....
