Finding deepens U.S.-China tensions ahead of the Trump-Xi summit as officials examine possible Chinese help tracking American warships
Before Iran carried out its attack that killed three U.S. troops in July, Tehran acquired high-resolution satellite images of the base in Jordan from Chinese entities, according to U.S. officials familiar with details of the incident.
It is the clearest evidence so far that Chinese support for Iran during the war has had lethal consequences for U.S. forces, according to the officials, who say the U.S. has connected the imagery to the attack.
The U.S. officials declined to identify the Chinese entities that supplied the imagery to Iran and didn’t allege direct involvement by Beijing. Tehran procured the images both before and after the attack.
But the finding could deepen U.S.-China tensions ahead of the planned summit between President Trump and Chinese leader Xi Jinping on Sept. 24, after months of frustration with Beijing’s rejection of U.S. warnings about Chinese companies providing imagery to Iran.
Senior U.S. officials raised the imagery linked to the July 17 attack with their Chinese counterparts, who pushed back and demanded proof, the U.S. officials said. China has repeatedly dismissed Washington’s concerns, refusing to acknowledge that any Chinese companies are engaged in such activity, the officials said.

The Chinese Embassy in Washington didn’t address the specific U.S. allegations. Spokesperson Liu Chang said unnamed critics were “maliciously linking and smearing other countries” by exploiting the conflict, and said China’s cooperation with Iran complied with international law.

But then look on the bottom of the same chart, in the same time period, Russia gained 2,200 square Km.
It's all NATO centric, we wanna pretend we're winning or holding out... It's garbage.
This has been for a while now. Russia is gaining ground, Ukraine losing ground. Russia achieved their military objectives (seize Eastern ethnic Russian areas of Ukraine) and political goal (prevent NATO expansion into Ukraine). Ukraine failed to prevent these.
If you look at mere metrics, and leave out the talk, Russia is gaining land every month, in the last 2.5 years with the exception of something like 2 months where Ukraine gained a little in the net.
Russia is hitting Ukraine with more drones than Ukraine is Russia.
Russia is hitting Ukraine with more artillery than Ukraine is Russia.
Russia is hitting Ukraine with more areal dropped bombs than Ukraine is Russia.
As soon as literally two drones strike Moscow, it makes headlines. Ukraine is again winning the war and turning the tide. But when Russia hits Kiev “daily” with drones and missiles, sometimes in substantial volume, it hardly even goes reported.

When he talks about Russian oil refineries and the damage done to them, he fails to mention that Ukraine at this point cannot produce oil, they can't even produce the electrical power needed and it is Hungary, Poland, Romania and Slovakia that are directly pumping electrical power into the Ukrainian grid while the other EU states are providing equipment to patch things up so they hopefully can produce enough so that with the help from their border states they can make it through the winter (with hopefully less than blackouts 15% of the time in Kiev): https://commission.europa.eu/topics/eu-solidarity-ukraine/eu-assistance-ukraine/energy-security_en
What the problem is with our sides reporting, is that we show all the awesome damage we're doing to the Russians (true there is damage done), but we leave out what is happening to Ukraine. No differently than with the casualty reporting. Russia has one hundred bazillion casualties, and Ukraine zero.

They practically wiped out all of Ukraine's refining capacity (we're pumping that into Ukraine now as well). Not only are they assisting Iran in targeting our troops but they are the only ones funding their military operation by breaking sanctions and buying their oil. The PRC has always been our primary enemy and they should be economically treated as such.
It’s not as if China is our friend or anything. Every time I see Xi’s bloated face, it reminds me of the scene in Conan The Barbarian, when James Earl Jones’ character turns from a man into a giant serpent.g
