You may vote red or blue, but would you rather live in a blue state or a red state? Regardless of what people do at the ballot box, newly released data from the Census Bureau overwhelmingly show people voting with their feet, leaving blue states for red states. And this is nothing new. From July 2024 to July 2025 (the latest numbers available), blue states like California, New York, Illinois, New Jersey, and Massachusetts hemorrhaged their most valuable resource—people—at an alarming rate. These were the five worst states for net domestic migration, meaning more people left those states than moved in, for...

Bart Ehrman, a noted biblical studies professor at UNC Chapel Hill, announced his retirement on December 7, 2025, after more than 40 years in the classroom. Although he was educated at Princeton under the guidance of conservative theologian Bruce Metzger, Ehrman “de-converted” from Christianity and has written a number of books aimed at poking holes in the truth claims of Christianity and especially the reliability of the biblical text. Ehrman used his last lecture to again hammer away at the idea that we really don’t know and can’t trust what the Bible says. He claims there are so many “variants”...

It's not hard to understand why people live in California, nor why it boomed in the decades after World War II. There are few places more blessed by God than California, even with its mudslides, wildfires, and earthquakes, which deterred not a single person from moving there. It is, in most ways, a paradise. If there was anyplace that could be said to embody the American Dream, or at least the postwar American Dream in which anybody could aspire to be middle class, it was California. New York City may be where people went to strike it big, but California...

As we reported, there was a lot of controversy about the performance of Bad Bunny for the Super Bowl halftime show, with many thinking it was a bit of a finger to the U.S. on multiple levels. I watched it, and I admit, I've never really heard of him until the advertising for this program started showing up. I understand Spanish, but some of it was difficult to discern. If you don't know his songs, it was a bit of a miss, even before you get to the political questions. I imagine it was for a lot of Americans who...

Television bassist Fred Smith died Thursday of unspecified causes at the age of 77. The news was announced on the band's Instagram page. Jimmy Rip, who has served as Televison's guitarist since co-founder Richard Lloyd's departure in 2007, noted on his own post that Smith had fought an unspecified illness "long and hard these last few years." Smith joined Television in 1975 and appeared on all three of their studio albums, including the 1977 masterpiece Marquee Moon. Prior to that, Smith was also the founding bassist in Blondie, departing the Debbie Harry-fronted group before they began their recording career. Read...

Well, Bad Bunny ended up not wearing a dress during yesterday's Super Bowl halftime show. We have to wonder if Roger Goodell or someone in the NFL put the kibosh on that plan, especially after Goodell said the program wouldn't be political. President Trump slammed the show as "terrible" and "one of the worst." Meanwhile, the TPUSA alternative show attracted tens of millions of views so far. TMZ put up a poll last night asking which show was better, and it's not going well for them. Who had the better halftime show -- Bad Bunny or Kid Rock? — TMZ...

The moderate socialist António José Seguro won a resounding victory in the second round of Portugal’s presidential election on Sunday, triumphing over his far-right opponent, André Ventura, whose Chega party still managed to take a record share of the vote. Seguro won 66.8% of votes to Ventura’s 33.2% in the election, which went ahead despite weeks of disruption caused by deadly storms. The vote to elect a successor to the outgoing president, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, was marked by a cross-party push to head off the prospect of a Chega victory, with some senior rightwing figures throwing their weight behind...

A new acronym for liberal white women is gaining traction online, and the New York Times does not appear to be happy about it. The paper published a lengthy piece Friday about the acronym AWFUL, which stands for Affluent White Female Urban Liberal. Conservative commentators have used the term to describe liberal women protesting immigration enforcement in Minneapolis following the fatal shooting of activist Renee Good by an ICE agent on January 7. The NY Times even contacted the Department of Homeland Security about its growing popularity. DHS spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin was unmoved. “I’m more concerned with facts on the...

In this eye-opening investigation, we follow the hard evidence to uncover the true origin of Muhammad in early Islamic history. By examining ancient coins, rock inscriptions, Qur’an manuscripts, and non-Islamic historical sources, this video challenges the traditional narrative and asks difficult but necessary questions. Was “Muhammad” originally a personal name—or a title? Why do early inscriptions and coins feature crosses, Greek text, and anti-Trinitarian theology? And why is there a striking silence about Islam and Mecca in the earliest records? This presentation traces how Islam appears to emerge gradually out of late antique Christian theological conflicts, not overnight. Whether you’re...

A federal appeals court in San Francisco granted a stay allowing the government to proceed with terminating Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for immigrants from Nepal, Honduras and Nicaragua. The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals issued an order freezing a lower court ruling that would have vacated Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem’s decision to end the protections.

It’s all backstage now. This fraught moment, the power centers locked in the coldest cold of the year, the Spanish language lessons of Bad Bunny behind us, all the real action in the battle to save the country is out of sight, moiling and churning in the deep background. Everybody’s on edge waiting for shoes to drop, praying they don’t drop on their heads. You should have seen Senator Mark Warner (D-VA; Vice-chair of the Senate Intel Committee) on Face the Nation Sunday, frothing at the mouth over Tulsi Gabbard, Director of National Intelligence (DNI). He cannot believe she turned...

“I am the way and the truth and the life” (John 14:6) Dear Abba Father, What a marvelous Father You are! Loving King and merciful Judge, You are powerful and capable of totally wiping out all evil in this rebellious world with just the Truthful sword Your Word, yet amazingly You hold back for Your children's sake, and for the lost You patiently wait for them to cry out Your Name! More migrants have crossed the Channel on small boats under Sir Keir Starmer than any other prime minister. Some 65,922 migrants have reached the UK across the Channel since Labour won the election 19 months ago at an average rate of 790 a week. Three boats carrying 219 migrants crossed the Channel in small boats on Sunday with more dinghies attempting to reach the UK on Monday. Chris Philp, the shadow home secretary, said the numbers were a result of Sir Keir scrapping the Rwanda scheme. He added: “This is a catastrophic failure by weak Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, and...

Time for Ozempic to walk the plank? Top dietitians in Australia this week are waving a red flag about an unforeseen impact of the GLP-1 class of weight-loss drugs, including Ozempic, Wegovy and Mounjaro. In a new systematic review of existing research, led by professor Clare Collins of the Newcastle School of Health Sciences in New South Wales, Australia, it appears that very few global trials of the drugs have taken into consideration what and how much patients are eating while using them. This, experts have said, means many patients have been functionally malnourished — sometimes developing serious vitamin deficiencies...
