As we reported, there was a lot of controversy about the performance of Bad Bunny for the Super Bowl halftime show, with many thinking it was a bit of a finger to the U.S. on multiple levels.
I watched it, and I admit, I've never really heard of him until the advertising for this program started showing up. I understand Spanish, but some of it was difficult to discern. If you don't know his songs, it was a bit of a miss, even before you get to the political questions.
I imagine it was for a lot of Americans who didn't even understand what he was singing, and there was no real effort to explain the words or the meanings of what he was trying to say. So the Lady Gaga segment, with English and wedding dancing, was a bit of a welcome respite.
Behind Martin, dancers dressed as jibaros in pavas, Puerto Rican farmers in traditional straw hats, climbed atop exploded power poles, which symbolized the island’s failing power grid. Bad Bunny stood before the power poles, waving a Puerto Rico flag in the air as he performed his track, “El Apagón,” protesting against the recurring power outages.
Did anyone get that? I doubt many did. And maybe then vote out your Democrats in local government? Just a thought.
But what some did note was that during that segment, at about the 10:23 mark, he was waving a Puerto Rican flag with a slight change: it was light blue where it should have been darker blue. The light blue has generally been associated with the push for independence, so that was another subtle political point.
Meanwhile, the Turning Point USA All-American Halftime Show pulled in some of the folks who were turned off or who would rather look at something other than Bad Bunny. Here's some of Kid Rock's performance:
🚨 AMAZING: Kid Rock just wrapped up the All American Halftime Show with a beautiful tribute to Charlie Kirk
“If you're gonna love somebody, Hold 'em as long and as strong and as close as you can… Until you can't” ❤️🇺🇸
MILLIONS UPON MILLIONS just watched this live. Unreal. pic.twitter.com/kRqf6KLXfu— Nick Sortor (@nicksortor) February 9, 2026
Our sister site Townhall reported that TMZ put out a poll asking who had the better show: Bad Bunny or Kid Rock?
It must really upset your giggling staff that Charlie Kirk's show outshone a rotting rabbit.

Who had the better halftime show -- Bad Bunny or Kid Rock?— TMZ (@TMZ) February 9, 2026
That sounds like a big message to the NFL if the biggest comment about their halftime show is how it was turning people off and/or they were going elsewhere.
Here's the full Turning Point show at about 41 minutes in. It already has close to 20 million views.

Wasn’t even that close.
This Gringo and his Mexican wife speak Spanish. Spanish was her first language as she is from Mexico. I could understand little of what Bad Bunny said but more importantly my wife could not either. That is her language. She said it was Puertorican slang jive rap crap.
A NY Post writer wisely observed that the Big Bad Bunny Rabbit’s ranting never rose higher than the sugar canes.
Although he obsessively grabbed his crotch...hoping.
Has even the National Football League been infiltrated by degenerates?
In 2025, Bad Bunny reclaimed the title of Spotify’s top global artist, with over 19.8 billion streams, while Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ “Die With A Smile” was the most-streamed song. Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, Drake, and Billie Eilish rounded out the top artists, reflecting a dominant year for pop and Latin music, according to Spotify’s end-of-year data.
Polls will now be racist. That is all.
Earlier after the poll dropped the margins was much wider.
Hmmmm...
Note to all the folks shelling out four to five figures for those seats...
You flunked your intelligence test.
TMZ, I will note is the same outfit whose staffers were laughing at Charlie Kirk getting assassinated...
Who got at least a ransom note for Nancy Guthrie...
And who was mentioned in the Mike Sitrick email to Epstein...
What about companies paying big bucks for commercials that no one ever sees.
