AMERICA Prayer Vigil (Feb. 10, 2026) *Prayer*

What a marvelous Father You are! Loving King and merciful Judge, You are powerful and capable of totally wiping out all evil in this rebellious world with just the Truthful sword Your Word, yet amazingly You hold back for Your children's sake, and for the lost You patiently wait for them to cry out Your Name!

Full of grace, You grant all chance upon chance to repent of sin and come to You for redemption. We live in a dying world full of rebellion, delusion, evil and death all around, yet You protect and provide for us, undeservedly. There is no greater Mercy and Love than Yours!

Holy Father, we look forward to the day when every knee will bow and every tongue confess that You are Lord God, Ruler over all! We will shout and proclaim Your Name and Glory wherever we go, oh Holy Savior Lord Jesus Christ! Hallelujah to the one Mediator and Victor, victorious over all evil and death! You alone laid down Your life for us to atone for our sins, and have crushed the serpent's head. In Victory we lift Your Name high to all glory, honor and praise! All thanks to You, Majestic King and Giver of the Light of Truth and Water of Life! Oh how comforted and secure we are in Your glorious presence, Abba Father! Hallelujah hallelujah to our King for all eternity, Lord Jesus Christ! Amen.

What a great privilege and blessing to be called Your children! So grateful, true and loyal exclusively to You, our Father God! Thank You for hearing our prayers.

Oh Holy Father God, hear our confession as a nation and society we have grown lukewarm. Many have turned their backs on You completely. We now witness a new generation coming into their own with no foundation upon the solid rock of Jesus Christ. In their desperation these young ones, looking for answers in the wrong places, turn to socialism, fascism and rebellion.

Many of us see this happening yet many have grown passive. We sit and watch, waiting for some human to come fix everything for us. We neglect our civic duties, such as voting and shaping our children’s school boards. We are slack in our duty to stand our ground in Your righteousness so evil has crept in everywhere.

We confess we have grown soft and cannot stand the lowest levels of discomfort, while the blessed nation You built up, by the lives sacrificed in battle, crumbles all around us. By degrees we’ve allowed ourselves to be hypnotized by the world and drawn away from You.

We witness the consequences all around us with sin and confusion sanctioned into law as we mutilate and sacrifice innocent children; driving many insane, criminal, drugged, abused and sold like animals. The children are even told they are animals, and You are only a fairy tale.

We confess we've passively allowed evil to take hold while we distracted ourselves from reality with worthless and destructive idols to mask our discomfort and boredom. Even in our churches, where many have already fallen away and refuse to stand upon Your righteousness. So many lack discernment.

Rather than turn to You and abide in You, Abba Father, we confess that we became puffed up with pride in our own abilities and achievements, as we are indoctrinated to rely on our own created artificial wisdom and intelligence of the world. Our society worships the idol self.

We confess we have forsaken You in our arrogance, that we can improve upon Your creation through the foolish schemes of Satan, who is feverishly preparing us for eternal destruction. Oh Father, we know where this leads based on humanity’s lessons throughout history. We confess the mess we’ve made and cry out to You to save us from our own folly. We repent of our many sins as a nation! Your remnant of the faithful cry out to You in this late hour!

We do know this battle is Yours, Father God. We proclaim the Victory of our King and Savior Jesus Christ. We proclaim America as rightfully Yours and give thanks for coming Justice!

We are thankful You will never leave us or forsake Your children, no matter how badly everything falls apart. We can trust in You—Your Love, Truth, Power and Glory. IN GOD WE TRUST, Majestic! Our Great Protector! Even as we stand at the brink of a great abyss. Thank You for the Armor You have provided us.

In this time bless Your children, Father God, imperfect as we all are. Bless our elected officials with Your Holy Spirit wisdom and guidance. Bless our enemies in the manner needed to open their eyes to Your Truth. And Thank You, majestic Holy Father, for everything You’ve already done and will do, in Your perfect will! We thank You for Your healing and are gratefult that YOU are in control!

We so look forward to the day when every knee will bow and every tongue confess that JESUS CHRIST IS LORD AND KING. There is no other like Him! Our only hope is in Him! And in His mighty Name we pray, amen.

What did Jesus mean when He said, “I am the way and the truth and the life” (John 14:6)?

...The way – Jesus used the definite article to distinguish Himself as “the only way.” A way is a path or route, and the disciples had expressed their confusion about where He was going and how they could follow. As He had told them from the beginning, Jesus was again telling them (and us) “follow me.” There is no other path to heaven, no other way to the Father. Peter reiterated this same truth years later to the rulers in Jerusalem, saying about Jesus, “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). The exclusive nature of the only path to salvation is expressed in the words “I am the way.”

The truth – Again Jesus used the definite article to emphasize Himself as “the only truth.” Psalm 119:142 says, “Your law is the truth.” In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus reminded His listeners of several points of the Law, then said, “But I say unto you . . .” (Matthew 5:22, 28, 32, 34, 39, 44), thereby equating Himself with the Law of God as the authoritative standard of righteousness. In fact, Jesus said that He came to fulfill the Law and the prophets (Matthew 5:17). Jesus, as the incarnate Word of God (John 1:1) is the source of all truth.

The life – Jesus had just been telling His disciples about His impending death, and now He was claiming to be the source of all life. In John 10:17–18, Jesus declared that He was going to lay down His life for His sheep, and then take it back again. He spoke of His authority over life and death as being granted to Him by the Father. In John 14:19, He gave the promise that “because I live, you also will live.” The deliverance He was about to provide was not a political or social deliverance (which most of the Jews were seeking), but a true deliverance from a life of bondage to sin and death to a life of freedom in eternity.

In these words, Jesus was declaring Himself the great “I Am,” the only path to heaven, the only true measure of righteousness, and the source of both physical and spiritual life. He was staking His claim as the very God of Creation, the Lord who blessed Abraham, and the Holy One who inhabits eternity. He did this so the disciples would be able to face the dark days ahead and carry on the mission of declaring the gospel to the world. Of course, we know from Scripture that they still didn’t understand, and it took several visits from their risen Lord to shake them out of their disbelief. Once they understood the truth of His words, they became changed people, and the world has never been the same.

So how do we follow Him today? The same way the disciples did long ago. They heard the words of Jesus and believed them. They took His words and obeyed them. They confessed their sins to Jesus as their Lord and God. They believed that He died to take the punishment of their sins and rose from the dead to give them new life. They followed His example and command to tell others the truth about sin, righteousness, and judgment. When we follow Him in “the way,” we can be assured of following Him all the way to heaven.
