Keir Starmer has promised to rebuild Britain as Labour did after the second world war as he enters a pivotal year for his premiership. The prime minister said in his prerecorded new year message that 2025 would be a year of rebuilding, with his government looking to turn the corner after a turbulent first six months in power. Starmer invoked the forthcoming 80th anniversary of VE Day in May as he compared the task his government faces with that the Attlee government faced in 1945. Labour ends 2024 with its poll rating lower than at any other year-end since the...

On Tuesday President Trump sounded the alarm on Senate Democrats’ plan to “improperly stall and delay the confirmation process” of many of his Cabinet nominees. The Senate confirmation hearings are set to begin next week. President Trump did not go into detail about the Democrats’ plan to delay and possibly derail his Cabinet nominees. However, given what the Senate Democrats did to Bret Kavanaugh during his Supreme Court confirmation hearing in 2018, anything is possible. “We just won a Historic Landslide and Mandate from the American People, but Senate Democrats are organizing to improperly stall and delay the confirmation process...

Non-detained docket has exploded in recent years to more than 7.6 million people EXCLUSIVE: Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has ended two programs that provide social services to illegal immigrants who are released into the U.S. interior, telling lawmakers that one brings "immense cost with little improvement" and that another is out of line with ICE’s mission. The agency responded to Rep. Byron Donalds, R-Fla., and 15 members of Congress who wrote to ICE in May asking for more information about the "Alternatives to Detention" program, which monitors illegal immigrants not in ICE detention. The agency defended the program and...

A Virginia man was arrested after the largest cache of "finished explosive devices" was discovered at his farm by the FBI, The New York Times reported. Brad Spafford was apprehended outside Norfolk on Tuesday, Dec. 17, after more than 150 explosive devices were found in a detached garage on his 20-acre property, the Times reported. The devices were mainly pipe bombs, some labeled as "lethal," prosecutors told the Times. Pipe bombs were also found inside his bedroom — loosely stuffed in a backpack that bore a patch shaped like a hand grenade and a logo reading "#NoLivesMatter," the Times reported....

News that top US intelligence officials in 2021 suppressed research pointing to a Chinese lab leak as COVID’s origin raises two key questions: Exactly who, and why? That is, who made the call to keep Defense Department and FBI input out of the August 2021 briefing to President Biden on the issue, and out of the resulting official federal finding that COVID most likely arose naturally? And, indeed, to also block Sen. Charles Grassley’s requests for the Defense research? We know that Dr. Anthony Fauci and his public-health cronies had fought from the start to discredit all lab-leak talk. Their...

When a historical figure passes away, it’s almost inevitable that there will be a concerted effort to paint him in a favorable light — after all, the old adage of “don’t speak ill of the dead” prevails. However, the attempt to rewrite Jimmy Carter’s legacy following his death has reached such absurd, almost Orwellian heights, as if others are trying to erase history and pretend that Carter wasn’t one of America’s most ineffective presidents. Like clockwork, media outlets have rushed to elevate his presidency, attempting to reframe his time in office as the golden age of moral leadership. The most...

Jimmy Carter's No Real Humanitarian by Gordon Smith When former President Jimmy Carter speaks to the graduates of University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill on May 3, the listeners might bear in mind that Carter's reputation for principled concern for the downtrodden is open to question. Carter has done some benevolent things after 1981, as ex-President. He's built homes for the poor, spoken eloquently on behalf of human rights, helped the Haitian dictator Cedras resign, and presided over the negotiations ending the Yugoslav War. While all of this is good, Carter presided over some serious war crimes in the Third World....

[Fox News host:] "It's a wonderful life is an all-American classic, it's also my favorite film. It's cherished across the country for almost eighty years now, but fans of the film are livid over Amazon's abridged version of the 1946 film on its streaming service. Amazon cut the Pottersville scene. Evita, so why did Amazon erase this scene, and I guess more important is Jeff Bezos the new Mr Potter?" [Duffy-Alfonso]: "Well let's talk about Mr Potter's version of Bedford Falls. This is a monopolistic system that's based off debt slavery and gambling, prostitution, it's completely devoid of Christian ethics....

Adding to the mystery was last week’s arrest of a registered sex offender who claimed he stumbled on the body three days before Christmas — then allegedly refused to hand over his cell phone to cops or be fingerprinted. The corpse — discovered in Belleplain State Forest in Dennis Township — is likely that of a Caucasian or Hispanic woman who stood about 5 feet, 1 inch tall and had two striking tattoos: a koi fish on her right shoulder blade and a rose on her ribs, according to NJ.com. A distinctive yoga mat and necklace lay nearby at the...

The IAF conducted an IDF and ISA intelligence-based strike, eliminating the terrorist Abd al-Hadi Sabah, a Nukhba Platoon Commander in the Western Khan Yunis Battalion. The terrorist operated from a shelter in the Humanitarian Area in Khan Yunis. Abd al-Hadi Sabah was one of the leaders of the infiltration into Kibbutz Nir Oz during the murderous October 7th Massacre. Moreover, throughout the war, Sabah led and advanced numerous terrorist attacks against IDF troops. Prior to the strike, numerous steps were taken to mitigate harm to civilians, including the use of precise munitions, intelligence, and aerial surveillance. "The IDF and ISA...

A Texas school district has reversed its decision to remove the Bible from school libraries, a decision it made as part of its efforts to comply with a new Texas law banning “sexually explicit” material in schools. In a statement sent to TV station KAMR Local 4 News, the Canyon Independent School District (CISD) said that following the passage of House Bill 900, it “conducted a comprehensive review of library materials to ensure compliance with updated state guidelines.” The school district did not return NTD’s request for comment. The district also said that despite its removal from libraries, “the Bible...

As desperate, phony, and even dangerous of a campaign Democrats ran this year, and as embarrassing as the outcome was for all of them, nobody came out looking more pathetic than Barack Obama. From 2024’s vantage point, is there any way to look at his legacy but as a tragic blight on American history? In the final months of the campaign, Obama seemed to know the outcome of the election would say just as much about him as it would about Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, or Donald Trump. And, like all realistic Democrats, he knew that the nominee he supported...
