Many of us alone tonight.
I watched online as the big crystal ball at One Times Square got raised to the top of its pole.
I love watching online as the big ball is dropped at midnight. It’s always fun to watch. It might be a little interesting tonight, as I have heard that the forecast is calling for rain, wind, and possible thunder and lightning for NYC. In the past, I’ve seen snow, and rain. I’ve never seen thunder and lightning.
Quiet here for us two, plus three cats. Very windy, and on the cold side.
I remember when I was little until I went to college. Our church had a “Watch Night Service” every New Years Eve. Games for everybody. Hymn sing. Tons of food. About 11:45 we went into the church for prayer and a short devotional lasting until just after midnight. Nobody seems to do that any more. [sigh]
Yes been doen in that squaw in the late seventies. A once in a lifetime event for me
