Who decided the US intelligence community would suppress key COVID-origin research?

News that top US intelligence officials in 2021 suppressed research pointing to a Chinese lab leak as COVID’s origin raises two key questions: Exactly who, and why?

That is, who made the call to keep Defense Department and FBI input out of the August 2021 briefing to President Biden on the issue, and out of the resulting official federal finding that COVID most likely arose naturally?

And, indeed, to also block Sen. Charles Grassley’s requests for the Defense research?

We know that Dr. Anthony Fauci and his public-health cronies had fought from the start to discredit all lab-leak talk.

Their motive is obvious enough: Since they’d funded related (at least) research at that Wuhan lab, they feared a backlash — against them personally, and/or against such research and its funding.

But why would the US intelligence community cover for Beijing, which would clearly bear the chief blame for cooking up a plague and then unleashing it on an unsuspecting world?

The most likely explanation is that someone decided that the rest of the world would also blame the US government as a whole, maybe even more than it did China’s rulers — so it was best to cover the whole thing up.

It might have been within President Biden’s legitimate powers to make that call, but no one else’s.

Not the mysterious coterie of White House aides who’ve made so many important decisions under this enfeebled prez, nor Avril Haines, the director of National Intelligence who led the review that produced the deceptive “consensus” finding, nor any other intel big.

The purpose of every US intelligence agency is provide the best possible information up the chain of command, so the president and his chosen representatives can make the best possible decisions.

SARS-like WIV1-CoV poised for human emergence

From the first paragraph of this article:

“This manuscript describes efforts to extend surveillance beyond sequence analysis, constructing chimeric and full-length zoonotic coronaviruses to evaluate emergence potential. Focusing on SARS-like virus sequences isolated from Chinese horseshoe bats, the results indicate a significant threat posed by WIV1-CoV. Both full-length and chimeric WIV1-CoV readily replicated efficiently in human airway cultures and in vivo, suggesting capability of direct transmission to humans.”

And from the results summary in this article:

Using the SARS-CoV infectious clone as a template (7), we designed and synthesized a full-length infectious clone of WIV1-CoV consisting of six plasmids that could be enzymatically cut, ligated together, and electroporated into cells to rescue replication competent progeny virions (Fig. S1A). In addition to the full-length clone, we also produced WIV1-CoV chimeric virus that replaced the SARS spike with the WIV1 spike within the mouse-adapted backbone (WIV1-MA15, Fig. S1B). WIV1-MA15 incorporates the original binding and entry capabilities of WIV1-CoV, but maintains the backbone changes to mouse-adapted SARS-CoV. Importantly, WIV1-MA15 does not incorporate the Y436H mutation in spike that is required for SARS-MA15 pathogenesis (8). Following electroporation into Vero cells, robust stock titers were recovered from both chimeric WIV1-MA15 and WIV1-CoV.

And an interesting side note: National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID) is managed by Dr. Anthony Fauci, in case you were wondering if he had any connection to this.

My assessment is that the PNAS article indicates strongly that NIH National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease, managed br Dr. Anthony Fauci, and the Wuhan Institute of Virology, managed by Dr. Zhengli-Li Shi cooperated to create what ultimately became the chimeric virus SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) pandemic.

My further assessment is that the gop-foreignaffairs report is investigating CPP for malfeasence, but apparently not interested in understanding where this virus originated, they are only interested in blaming CCP for the cover up.

For us it was not hard to figure out that this is not a public health crisis. This is an opportunistic marketing campaign to address a stated objective. And that’s why this is Occam’s razor. It is the easiest thing to describe because they’re the ones that said it. And the Occam’s razor reality is they said they needed the public to accept a pan-corona virus vaccine countermeasure, and they needed the media to create the hype, and investors will follow where they see profit.

You do not have anything else you need to rely on to explain the events of the last 20 months than the actual statement of the actual perpetrator. And I don’t do the naval gazing exercise of going in and trying to understand whether there were mommy issues behind the bank robber. If they’re holding a bag of money outside the bank I actually make the crazy assumption that they maybe are a bank robber.

Similarly, if I have somebody who says, “We need to use the media to hype a medical countermeasure which is in fact the injection of a synthetic recombinant chimeric protein devoped off a computer simulation,” if I’m actually going to listen to the motivation why that might be being done, I will listen to the person doing the manipulation who says, “Investors will follow where they see profit.” I don’t need more explanation.
