Looking for Blu-ray DVD Recommendations. Used up all Mt Acorn and Britbox Possibilities and am looking dor older film dvd Recommendations?
Prefer early 2000 and before.
Sources of Gently used blu-rays appreciated. I enjoy traditional and thoughtful productions. For example... the original wizard of Oz. The inspector morse trilogy.
Nothing woke or anchronostic.... meaning not congruent with the era. Black princesses in king Arthur's cour. Congruent history just fine...Pocahontas presented to British courts for example?
Thank you for letting me pick your brains.
Happy New Year!

Here’s some good choices: “Citizen Kane”, “The Adventures Of Robin Hood” with Errol Flynn, “The Searchers” with John Wayne and “The Dirty Dozen”.
Just ordered
Thank you
I guess if you like British cop shows, there are a lot of European cop shows from MHZ. They are even better (for the most part). The French are as gaga for Agatha Christie as the British.
Best “B” Movie, “Detour”
“The Third Man”
“Count of Monte Cristo” (Cavezial version)
“All About Eve”
“Sunset Boulevard”
“My Man Godfrey”
“Strangers On a Train”
“Woman of the Year”
“Lilies of the Field” (Looks like it is woke, but it isn’t)
“Scarlet and the Black”
“Touch of Evil” (The Mexican is played by Charlton Heston)
“The Philadelphia Story”
“Vertigo”
Can you get Britbox and Acorn without Amazon Prime?
Absolutely. I have rokus and they can be gotten there.
I am going to put them on hiatus for a bit. Need better old movies.
Actually my dream would be when turner classics films becomes a streamer.
Thank you
MHZ??
Thanks
October Sky. Apollo 13. The Iron Giant. Song of the Sea.
Thrift stores are great for dvds and BR disks.
I recommend “The Howards Of Virginia.” It’s a good historic movie made in 1940. Best of all it’s free on youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yUAakqGji-w
Not used but the Criterion Collection has many older movies. I bought some hard to find older films there.

Church bazaars have lots of old movies for cheap. I always look but most of them are kids movies.
